Cafe Contrast in Breckland

I've only ever popped in for a coffee and a cheese scone but have found both to be excellent. The staff are wonderful and always smiling and courteous. I hope to make time to pop in for something more adventurous soon. Would highly recommend a visit if you've not been already.

Always love this place when dropping in for a coffee and one of their custard tarts, then went in for a tapas set menu one evening and it was fantastic. Plenty of food and drink for the price and very relaxed and welcoming as always.

Excellent coffee. Fantastic prices and the menu is lovely for a little cafe, it has a good selection of sweet and savoury. The location is good as it is just across the road the twon centre free parking. It is a cash only which was a drawback but there are a couple of cash points nearby so its not altogether inconvenient. One of my children had a ln absolutely gorgeous hot chocolate and as much as I love the coffees, i would gladly go in for one of those myself. Will definitely be back again as a nice little spot to take my kids for a hot drink.

Visited yesterday for the second time after this place being recommended to me. Superb lunch platter, coffees and an once cold Superbock (oh, and of course a little Nata for my dear old Mum). This is the sort of place you really don’t expect to see in Watton, but what a great family and community atmosphere, superb service, friendly owners, fantastic Portuguese fare and a lovely holiday/homely feel to the whole place. Seriously, don’t take my word for it … CHECK THEM OUT!

We were thrilled to discover this gem of a cafe on a recent trip to Norfolk and couldn't believe that it was only on the last day of our holiday that we found it. Had we known about it earlier, we might well have been daily visitors! The cafe is conveniently located and has a free public car park close by. The sandwiches, which are all made to order, are exquisite. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is lovely. The owner/manager is warm and friendly, and takes care to ensure that customers have a positive experience. Do take the time to read on the menu how the cafe got its name. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend it to others.

Fabulous place to eat, amazing food and fantastic staff. It’s the perfect place to eat for a relaxing meal, feels like being on holiday and great value for money. Popped in today, a lovely café and owner.

We were looking for a takeaway for 6 people to celebrate my wife’s birthday. They provided an excellent variety of traditional Portuguese foods which everyone enjoyed. Top marks for quality and service.

Fantastic cakes and really friendly service and we love their takeaway tappas (book a few days in advance) - Also, they sell Guarana which my wife had in Brazil and despite this being a Portuguese Cafe, they have been only too happy to get this in!! Can't fault the service or friendly staff.

We visited this Portuguese themed cafe in Watton today, and sat outside on the pavement. The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed the ambience here. We didn't go inside but it looked wheelchair accessible, with just a low step into the cafe. Coffee, hot chocolate and Portuguese sandwiches were delicious and reasonably priced but I was a little disappointed they had run out of my favourite cakes, pasties de nata. I'll just have to get there earlier another time. The cafe also offers a good selection of tapas to eat on the premises or take away, which we will certainly try.

Absolutely lovely addition to Watton. It is a happy place to be, whether you want a coffee, beer, glass of wine, a full blown amazing tapas meal or a bifana, Portuguese version of a bacon roll, hence the contrast, but.... Much tastier. 😁 You simply must drop in. You will not be disappointed. Great atmosphere and very family friendly. 😁

Had a dinner here with my family and can not fault it! Lovely staff and super quick service of some absolutely delicious food!! The sangria was also very nice indeed and very good value for money. Will definitely be returning for more!

An amazing cafe - the food was fantastic and the service outstanding. We ate with our four children aged between 7 and 3 months, and Tina and Ana could not have been more helpful or lovely. The tapas was delicious and the wine was wonderful. I strongly recommend Contrast to anyone looking for a lovely, family friendly meal.

Got a take away as the cafe is adapting to covid-19 rules and couldn't be more pleased with the meal I had! The portions were amazing for the money and tasted great! Definitely will be going back.

Lovely new place to eat in town. Good variety of tasty Portuguese tapas, the set menus included a jug of wine. Service was very good, welcoming and friendly. The Portuguese custard tarts were a delightful end to our meal.

We ate here on Saturday and the food was excellent, you have to pre order your food and it is cooked fresh. Some people ate next to us who didn't book and they had a meat board that looked nice aswell we will definitely be returning
