Diogo was our server for the evening and it was absolutely amazing service. So friendly and the food kept coming as soon as we were ready. Thank you so much! Such an enjoyable evening.

Had an amazing meal. Vee and all the staff were extremely attentive. Would definitely recommend it amd will be going back myself.

Went for the all you can eat set menu. The steak was delicious. Such a novelty to cook on the hot stone! Chips super crispy. Rice and beans were plentiful and the coleslaw is definitely home made. Yummy! Sangria was just right. AND the staff were attentive and interesting telling us about the provenience of the restaurant. A real treat! Thank you all! PS ignore the recent 1 star review. Rudely took a photo of us chatting with the waiter and yet was very dismissive of the staff here. Maybe fella had a bad day…

The waiter seems to be more interested in chatting to his friends than serving, had to wait for him to sit then serve them before he took my order, then 15 minutes waiting on my bill while he's talking about holidays

Fenando was great, friendly staff. Generous with the steak, I left absolutely stuffed and they weren’t even holding back with the meat till the very end 😱

Stayed in Thetford and needed somewhere nice to eat and booked here we 3 others and what a great choice of was from start to finish. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Vee and and another waitress which I didn't get her name and they couldn't of been more helpful. As it was our first time there they let us know how things work and what to expect. 3 of us had the steak on the stone and halloumi and the other had the tomahawk which was on special. Everything from the starters to the desserts was amazing and it was brilliant to try something different at this restaurant with the hot stone. Vee made sure we were always topped up with drinks and the food just kept on coming and coming until we literally couldn't eat another thing. We will be visiting Thetford again in November and we will definitely be coming back to cheers. We couldn't fault the place from start to finish 10/10 5*****

Popped into Cheers on Sunday and was incredibly pleased with the quality of food and service. Jessica was a star and the food served was amazing. The cooking on a hot stone is a lovely touch to the experience and really adds to the atmosphere.

Stumbled across Cheers by accident when in the local Travelodge late on a Sunday night. Absolutely fantastic service and the food & drinks available far far outweigh its humble facade. Pricing is good value to boot! Absolutely will be recommending anyone visiting or passing Thetford to call in and grab a table. Well done folks 👍😁

Food is really good, it's not the cheapest places, but for the quality of the food is good value for money. The staff is super helpful and their Sangria is very good. Will be coming back in the future

Decided to find a local restaurant after being to thetford forest for a bike ride. And this place did not disappoint and can see how they have so many good reviews, waiters were charming and helpful and the food was awesome. I don't know how, but they're rice was banging! Had about 4 rounds of steak it was soo good. Definitely recommend.

One of the better places I have eaten at here in the area. Will highly recommend getting the menu 1 or 2 options.

Family of 5 attended Cheers. Kids aged 9, 11 & 14 loved this place. Adults really enjoyed it, the atmosphere was good & food was great. Value for money was excellent. Staff were friendly & accommodating. Our waitress called Vee was brilliant. Thank you. We will return.

Had the meal deal with all you can eat steak on hot stone. It's good value, especially when drinking the included Sangria! The food is a decent standard and the service is friendly and efficient. Will be returning for sure.

As you can't add another review, I've had to amend this one. Visited Cheers for the 2nd time for my mates birthday (16th November 2024) and all I can say is what a difference from the last visit. We waited 20 minutes for them to take our order, we had to order drinks the same time as the steaks. When ordering, I asked for a medium rare sirloin, pretty much came out rare/blue, was lukewarm and needed a hacksaw to cut it. My mate ordered a well done sirloin, was well done on the outer part and medium rare in the middle. On the plus side, he could cut his. Service was non existent, they were more concerned with the big party that arrived. The first time in a long time I haven't tipped it was that bad an experience. Won't be returning. Shame as the first visit was fantastic.

We had a lovely evening, the staff were lovely and the all you can eat aspect worked really well. We were lucky and managed to walk in on a Friday and they managed to find somewhere for ua both but I would suggest booking.

Visited with family as a group of four, whilst seating area was a little cramped, this can not detract from the amazing staff, food and service that we experienced. We opted for the 'all you can eat' steak option. Having the ability to cook your own steak at the table was a new experience. Staff very attentive, bringing more sides, steak, and drinks as required. Would advise to book as was quite busy. There are vegetarian options, also other dishes on the menu.

Lovely place at just the right price. Service is very quick and very friendly. Would I recommend yes without a doubt. I think drinks being included in the buffet plan great idea and really works. Kids eat free with every adult makes it affordable to families.

We had lunch at Cheers on a Saturday lunch time. The service was efficient and friendly and overall the meal was good value. We both had the seafood soup which was good and my wife had the Halloumi on the hot stone which she enjoyed. I had the cheers steak which was not the best cut, a bit gristly but is always the gamble you take with steak. We also enjoyed the playlist. I would recommend as a good dining option in Thetford

All you can eat stone cooked steak. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and willing to bring you as much as you wanted of anything. Cooking on the stone was also fun.

Food is at an excellent standard, the staff are extremely courteous and are constantly checking in on you making sure your dinner/lunch is going well. I highly rate the special menus, incredible bang for your buck. TL;DR. Come here, it's well worth your money.

It's our first time at Thetford Cheers Restaurant. We usually used Bury. Nice service, the staff is very attentive. Refill quickly. We like most of the food except the fries. Everything is good. Happy to come back again here.

We were 14 people and we sat here for almost an hour before we got to order food. The food was decent though. All the thick steaks we got was cooked perfectly, but all the thinner ones were well done (most of us ordered medium rare). The fries looked and tasted like cardboard. And since it was pretty expensive it was not really a good experience.

The menu is delightfully simple and the food incredible.

After so many years of going to this place i feel this place is going downhill Today again was a disaster and i had to pay over 90£ of poor service Restaurant wasnt even full and waiters were running around like headless chickens and i had to keep asking for top ups when usually i never needed and nothing was ever missing on our table so when we would get to the bill part it wouldn’t be so difficult because this place is charging more and more everytime we go the price keeps going up…which us and any other family wouldn’t mind if the service was great and food but this hasnt been the case so everytime i go thetford i try to give another chance but things keep being the same so we just eat what we can and leave. Mrs as well been feelimg that the cuts of meet havent been the same as they were years ago and now its just 90% fat that isnt everyone cup tea Just disappointed to pay what i pay everytime we go and theres no costumer service and food anymore to make it worth it

Went with my wife for our anniversary. The staff were friendly and helpful. Service was very prompt. The steak was so nice that it didn't need the (very nice) peppercorn sauce. Would eat here again.

This is a great restaurant, the fillet steak is my favourite, my partner likes the all you can eat rump. Our tip is if you want a real treat night go to elveden for the spa and then come here for dinner, they are so friendly, great service and attentive. Diogo carries his own bottle opener and goes above and beyond but all staff very friendly!

We had a lovely meal here for hubbys birthday . This was our first visit here and will definitely not be our last . Staff were friendly and helpful . We enjoyed our food ,loved the Cook on stone concept. Prawns in cocktail starter were big and tasty . We had tomahawk steak to share which was tasty too .

A family favourite restaurant! My parents always order the house special 2 which is amazing value for money - you get almost unlimited meat and staff keep changing when they notice you're running out and ask if you'd like any more rice or beans etc. Unique selling point is that you can grill your own meat! Last time I got a shredded cod loin which was lovely. Their sangria is also quite nice, as someone who doesn't quite like wine I think it's suave. The ferrero roche pudding is nice too with a touch of strawberry.
