The best restaurants in Watton Breckland East of England

First visit today and will definitely be back. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had tea and cake yummy. The rhubarb frangipane and cup of leaf tea, cake was to die for and a good cup of leaf tea made nicerdtinking from china cup. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back for something more than cake.

I've only ever popped in for a coffee and a cheese scone but have found both to be excellent. The staff are wonderful and always smiling and courteous. I hope to make time to pop in for something more adventurous soon. Would highly recommend a visit if you've not been already.

Super fish and chips supper following a full day doing our house move, lovely piece of Cod, Light Crisp Batter, succulent and not at all dried out, freshly prepared and we didn’t even have to wait long, but we had missed the early trade, it was after six when we got there, Chips cooked to perfection, not soggy and a generous portion, very reasonable just over £20.00 for two portions, one of the best chippy’s I have tried, and on a par with my local one Stotts of Outwell. Lovely friendly staff, couldn’t have been more helpful, Will definitely call again

I went into to get something to eat when I got in. I was welcomed the chief who there he was very friendly. We always order from here. You guys are the best. The guy who worked there gave me a drink for free and he said that is on me which is him . I would recommend this place.

Our local takeaway of choice - and we have several to choose. Good food, wide variety; beware of the waiting at peak times - the deliveries and phone orders will fly out of the door while you’re standing (or sitting) waiting.

The smoked chicken is phenomenal. 2024 update: the smoked chicken is still amazing!

We use this establishment every year when we visit Whatton. Food is 1st class, service is great! Guess what! We'll be back next Year too 😁

Massive portions, super tasty fish & chips and kebabs. Fast service, friendly staff. Top of my takeaway list. We used several times on holiday and were never disappointed. Highly recommend

Perfect Haddock Chips & perfect Cod & chips, both with tasty, hot mushy peas & large delicious Gherkins. I rarely leave reviews but Gary’s is a class establishment. I have eaten here 6 times and this guy knows his stuff - I wish I lived near by!! Thank you Gary & Team!!!

We had a late breakfast here whilst on holiday and found something for both sweet and savoury tastes. Fresh scones and cakes along with breakfast items along with a good choice of hot and cold drinks for a great visit. Staff were very friendly and the prices very reasonable. Definitely recommend

Excellent place to eat or stay. We were here overnight with our dog and staff were lovely and food second to none. Both dinner and breakfast can be recommended. Can’t wait to return.
