The best restaurants in Thetford-Saxon Breckland East of England

When driving through Thetford on the way to London for our sons 13th birthday, we thought we’d get a breakfast at Sainsbury’s, thinking it would have a cafe. I asked the sainsbury’s security guard if there was an in store Cafe, and he directed us across the road to this little gem!! Service was fantastic and the breakfast and cost were too. We’ll be back.

Mama D is my hero, the food is fantastic! Prices are exceptional and the quality of food is outstanding. I recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

I often come here for lunch and have never been disappointed. Today for a change, I had ham. egg and chips. Best I've had anywhere. Three slices of beautiful dry ham, two perfectly cooked friend eggs and a plateful of delicious crispy chips. I couldn't eat it all. I suppose the potion sizes are aimed at the men as they are massive. All the food is very reasonably price, with a discount for members.

We decided as a birthday treat we'd try Chinese as we haven't tried any locally since moving from Lakenheath, the best rated was Wongs of China and so we gave it a try, what can we say, other than we are absolutely satisfied with our choice, the portions were huge, the food was super tasty and packed with meat in the chicken chow mein, the sweet n sour chicken balls were huge and the sauce was massive more than enough for the portion of balls, we got far too many prawn crackers as we brought 2 bags and only needed 1 because the sizes of the portions were large! Everything was perfect, and we picked up the food and had to take it home to Barnham and it was still perfectly hot to eat by the time we'd got home! Very friendly and welcoming when picking up the food! We wouldn't go anywhere else now on! Second to none! Highly recommended for sure!!!! Thank you! Dylan from Barnham.....

Donner meat was burnt and so greasy, chips tasted of old oil and I sat there for around 5 mins with our food just sitting on the back counter, I wont use again

Had an evening with my wife. Nice atmosphere, great service and nice food.

As title the food is excellent really delicious and good value! Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. We waited so long for desert and then was not even offered coffee etc. They were setting up for the next day completely ignoring us.

Lovely food , initial confusion over menu . Menu printed on the table as well as in on paper!! Confusion was soon forgotten when the food turned up!! Very very good

Overpriced middle of the road food, probably better to have eaten in Center Parks
