Brilliant service, the steaks were amazing. Cooked perfectly. The staff are fantastic and so friendly. Great value for money! Definitely recommend coming here again!

Visited this pub for my birthday on the 13th of may 2025. Pub wasnt busy took 10 minutes for someone to take my order. Was told there was a 30 minute wait. Not a bad wait time but considering how many people were there I think it was a bit of a wait. We had our starters then I went to the bar to order main meal. The bar manager acknowledged that our table had not been cleared and said the waiting staff would clear it. Waited about 40 minutes for dinner to come out and table still hadn't been cleared so when It came out I told the waiter to take it back to the kitchen, clear our table then bring it back. When he brought it back out he was leaning over us putting plates down and nearly dropped one of the meals. In this time there was no apology and after the meal came there was no interaction from any staff member not even the manager. The only saving grace was the food was edible which is good for the chase as when it gets busy they normally forget how to cook. One of the questions below in the review process is, is there any special offers? There is but because we use the blue light discount it puts it back to full price before taking the discount off for the blue light card.

My Food was cold in the middle , one of the kids food was burt ,took a long time to come even though the place was dead ,wost food ever 🤢 was over priced for what we had .

Good atmosphere enhanced by friendly staff, good food and enough space for everyone. Entertainment in the form of pool/ darts with soft music and plenty of TVs for sports.

I had a roast, one tiny slice of beef and tiny slice of Turkey, literally a dessert spoon of gravy across the whole plate, cheap enough but you get what you pay for, don't expect good food.

Lovely meal out, good parking and great fast service, I had the gravy chicken burger the gravy was a bit plain but the burger and chips were really really tasty! My partner had the katsu chicken meal and was absolutely delectable!! The katsu sauce was perfect! Rice was a bit lacking but everything else was really really nice! He had the shoe doughnut for afters and really liked it and I had the millionaire cheesecake and was the perfect serving and really tasty!!

Hardly any starters. Loads didn’t have. Mains. Mac and cheese over done and hard. Fish finger bagette chucked in. We have been many times but it is definitely getting worse

Very hit or miss food. Last time we came in (one week ago) the steaks were great. This week tough and rubbery and overcooked... Cooks need a retraining session on how to serve a steak sadly I think. Burgers are always fine, standard fare. It's a typical hungry horse but I do like how it's recently been refurbished. Service is very good and the front of house staff are doing their best with what they've got. Could be a little cleaner (booth wooden panels etc) but I'm a stickler as I'm in the trade myself. Hopefully the next steak will change this review from a four to a five.

I came in for lunch with a friend and had the quadzilla burger and the mac and cheese The staff were very kind when serving us and the food came really, lovely place with a great atmosphere.

I stopped by the Chase for lunch and ended up having a really chill and productive time. I ordered the mac and cheese. The atmosphere was perfect for getting some coursework done too—quiet enough to focus with a cozy setup that made it easy to settle in for a bit. Definitely a great place if you’re looking to grab a bite and knock out some studying. I’ll be back for sure!

Stopped in for an impromptu dinner. Great range of food options, good value and large portions. Quick service even though they were busy. Very impressed and we will be back.

Was made to feel it was my fault that I did not know wether the meal I ordered contained a food I was allergic to. As I ordered via the app could not get a refund nor could I order a replacement meal unless I paid for it. The other meals arrived cold except for the babies nuggets which were too hot for the babies to eat straight away. The tea and coffee arrived lukewarm. Will definitely give this place a miss in future!

Having had a lovely weekend in Thetford visiting family my sister suggested I met up with her and her husband at The Chase. Having had a few not so good experiences here in past years I was a bit retisen about going to say the least. How wrong I was. The place has had a well needed spruce up and looked very appealing. We were met with a very warm welcoming smile from Olivia. After choosing from the menu, I went to the bar to order our lunch and again Olivia was very welcoming and also dealt with a problem with the coffee machine and explained the problem to me. I was happy with her resolution. Lauren brought or coffees over and I was surprised how hot and flavoursome they were. (Something some specialist coffee houses need to try to achieve). Our food was served by Lauren, again with a genuine warm smile. Lauren was also very chatty but professional. The food was very good. Better than expected from a branded pub.Both Olivia and Lauren looked like the enjoyed their work and made us feel special. They are a great advert for The Chase and a credit to the managment. We will definitely return and also pass on the word that The Chase is well worth a visit.

Took our friends who were visiting out for a meal and drinks at The Chase, the food portions and quality were really good, the staff that we encountered through the evening were all very friendly and welcoming, we had a very enjoyable evening. Will certainly be returning

My stomach is bloated yet satisfied after eating the Chicken New Yorker and the Chips, incredible! Not to mention the service provided was a delightful benefit to it! Stopped for a meal on the way to the coast with some friends. We had never been to Thetford before but saw this on the way. We were immediately greeted with a smile at the door and the restaurant was pristine. I had the Crispy chicken sandwich. It was presented perfectly and fries were nice and hot. The staff were all so friendly and knowledgeable when we asked what was included in some of the dishes. Couldn’t recommend more highly! For sure the best place to eat around the Norfolk area!

Went in on Saturday the 22nd they dinner area was a mess and the food was cold and did not taste good at all use to be so good there 3/4 years ago just gone down hill

Had a lovely meal at the Chase again yesterday food was great as always and only £5 on the Epic menu also had 3 festive meals there over xmas well worth the money and it was really lovely again,was hot and served quickly also love the deluxe hot chocolate and but not just about the food ,the manager and staff are so friendly and welcoming ,we always go here to watch our sports and have a meal every time ,tbh we never go no where else in Thetford because everything about this pub is perfect .Thank you 🙂

Went to The chase last night for a family meal on the way home from a shopping trip and was disappointed the atmosphere was great,the food was fantastic and the staff were so helpful would highly recommend and will defo be going back there again

You literally get what you pay for don't you? Pass here regularly and finally stopped in to eat. Awful. But the licals are fabulous entertainment.

First time in chase for many years sadly service and food lacking at 5.30pm not super busy but 45 minute wait on food which as a chef I can tell you had been sitting under heat lamp dry chicken faded peas and fries reheated not good at all sadly I couldn’t complain as I wasn’t paying the bill but really poor food and check backs way to late to change anything if you wanted to and chocolate brownie stone cold and hard very disappointing under whelming and cold sorry to say
