We returned to this takeaway having had a good experience before. This time was less enjoyable with the crispy shredded beef being soggy and lacking in flavour. The Chow Mein and sweet and sour chicken were competent

I often use taste of china and the food is always delicious, this time I ordered a takeaway and I got sent chicken instead of king prawns, when I phoned they were really nice and apologetic and got the right order out to me super fast with more apologies, thank you taste of china

The food is always delicious, we try new dishes based on what’s recommended & they have all been so tasty! The best service, friendly, accommodating, welcoming & very reasonably priced! If you want the best Chinese meal, you have to try here! We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Had a takeaway from here tonight had a plain omelette and chips this is the best Chinese I ever had. This will might be my regular Chinese from now on. Best friendly staff help me in the door because I was on clutches. Cheap cheap Chinese in thetford Only cost me £8.50 for omelette chips and a drink. I've visited Wong's Taste of China which is a Chinese restaurant that also offer takeout services. They were great value and I really enjoyed the hoisin duck they had on offer. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and it was a really nice meal.

Fantastic customer service, friendly people best Chinese to go to, will definitely be ordering again and very convenient paying out order over the phone only reason I am giving them a 4*is the delivery driver needs to smile a little bit more apart from that very satisfied

I'm not a great fan of Chinese food but my wife is. So I wasn't to excited about dinner. This is the first time ordering from Wong's and the food was fantastic, I'll definitely order from there again.

Sadly this Chinese wasnt as good as we found it when visiting last year, the lemon chicken was horrid , better getting a reday meal one from Aldi much better and stingy portion of half aromatic duck and had to shred yourself, will try again on off chance had a bad night

Only ever had takeaway, not dined in, but having tried a few, we now always order from here. Never had an issue with the order and if they say an hour, will likely be 30 minutes.

quick delivery. Singapore noodle was like instant 30p noodle, blunt all stick together and tasteless, no flavour . not recommended at all. everything else was OK.

We, like a previous reviewer, were staying at Centre Parcs, and also refused to pay their exorbitant prices so we decided to try the “Taste of China” in Thetford. Not only was the owner courteous on the phone, but was also very personable in the flesh. The food itself was VERY tasty and clearly freshly cooked. The reviewer that left a terrible score clearly has zero taste credentials. FANTASTIC place. We will be at Centre Parcs next year, and we will be back to this restaurant for another first rate take away.

We were staying at Center Parcs and rather than paying the extortionate price for a mediocre takeaway there, we drove off site to Taste of China. We weren’t disappointed! Really big portions of well cooked tasty food! The spring rolls and chicken satay are particularly recommended.

Basically the worst take away food you can think off Bland Components not prepared in correct way, large chunks of food not cooked out for the dishes correctly. Seasoning not correct. Also managed in a bad way. I wanted to reduce my meal size for 1 person but no negotiating possible. The food was discusting awful. Never go back by

Average quality food from what you would expect from a British Chinese take away. Would like to see some more authentic and unique Chinese cooked dishes to make it stand out from all the other ‘monotonous’ Chinese take always that all serve the same thing (in China, they have never even heard of deep fried, battered chicken balls!).

Banquet platter is a must. Best ribs ever.

This is our local go to Chinese, we will not order from anywhere else! Staff are always friendly, welcoming & helpful! A really great bunch of people! The food is delicious! Lots of different options, always cooked to perfection! Thoroughly recommend eating here.

Best Chinese takeaway in Thetford

Food is about what you’d expect for a Chinese restaurant. Rating 5 stars for the dine-in experience (though this has not been available for a while due to covid.) The inside of the restaurant is very quiet and dimly limit with traditional-sounding Chinese music. It is beautifully decorated with Chinese paintings. There is no other place in Thetford quite like it.

Ordered the Kung Po Chilli chicken, chips and 2 spring rolls, food was piping hot, delicious, served by friendly staff at a good price! Whats not to like?

Good service, but veg curry bland, like a bland ,tastless gravy. Rice was a little better but not hot. Not a good experience and wouldn't return tbh Follow up ### Well after a week and half i returned to tell my experience of the take away i had. Well, they did put it right ! I took the same again and this time it was most satisfactory, on the house which i would very defenetly expect, minimum! It was hot and tasted good....not the same as my usual but a good one all the same. I would recommend you try them and make your own mind up... i would return again but tonight i chose fish and ships x

Curry was not good. The ribs where chewy. Not as good as the food use to be. Threw the food in the bin. Chips were fine.

A really pleasant surprise. Staying in Thetford while racing at Snetterton nearby and having decided to “sack off” the Chase Pub as the staff were rude and unhelpful, we stumbled across this little gem of a Chinese takeaway. Staff were welcoming and food was ready in quick time. Quality of the food was excellent with fresh tasting sauces and generous chunks of chicken. The Chicken and Cashews in Yellow bean was delicious as was the special fried rice, packed full of meat and prawns. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Ordered mushroom curry and beef curry, was watery , lacking in taste, had shredded sweet chilli chicken ,was chewy didn't enjoy it , rice wasnt that special either. Was very disappointing , won't be going there again.

Used this place for years never had a bad meal , We went in October 2019 had excellent meal. Very well worth the money. Service is always excellent. No problem with "doggie" bag if you can't eat everything at the table. Parking is available in side roads or a short walk from car parks. Child friendly. Other diners always seem to be enjoying their visit. Possibly our favourite Chinese restaurant.

we had a table of 28, the team handled it well with fresh cooked food, separate bills and being as helpful as they could. Well done taste of China. Been going for years, can’t fault the place.

Good quality food, and load of it. Too much and a bit pricey methinks. Ordered food for four adults at a cost of £66.00 that’s £16.50 per head for a takeaway. Sometimes delivery takes a lot longer than they say it would when ordered.

Went here for a takeaway tonight, huge mistake. Prawn toast was borderline burned, greasy tasteless egg fried rice, bland tasteless Chinese curry, dry undercooked rice and 1/2 duck not shredded, over cooked and greasy only thing edible was the chicken and sweet corn soup. Save your money and go to McDonalds, cheaper and better quality food.

We have been getting takeaways from here for a long time and everything is fantastic. My partner is vegan and the staff do their best to help cater to her needs (i.e no egg in certain dishes) and have eaten at the restaurant with friends on a few occasions. We have had a few hiccups where sometimes the wrong food arrives for her but a quick phone call and the manager personally comes to drop off the right order. This is exceptional customer service if there is a problem. It's nice as well that we are that regular we don't even need to give our address.

Visited Saturday 11th with 2 friends. All i can say is the food was absolutely lovely. We all had the set B menu and the starters were divine. Especially the satay chicken and ribs. The pork chow mein was to die for. Definately recommended.

This restaurant delivers what it advertises - acceptable Chinese cuisine that is nothing out of the ordinary but meets requirements. Service is fine and the value is good.

After researching all the Chinese takeaways in Thetford, Taste of China was rated one of the best, so me and my family decided to place an order for takeaway delivery, it took over an hour to arrive (pretty standard waiting time, except we were probably the first customers to place an order) that said.. the food arrived, it was warm.. however my Nan had ordered a chicken Chinese style, and the woman on the phone corrected me and said that’s a Cantonese style chicken, so I double checked the description and she confirmed (so for anyone not sure what this dish is, it’s basically a whole chicken breast poached in a very light transparent sauce served on a bed of beanshoots) what arrived was battered deep fried chicken that had been fried to an inch of its life, served with an incredibly sweet sauce and random bits of broccoli. Such a shame as it was for a belated birthday meal for my nan, and it was so over cooked that our family’s Bassett hound had a job to chew through it!
