Wonder Food in Breckland

Ordered our food at 8:00 on a Saturday. The website said 60-75min wait which we thought was fine. It turned up in 11 minutes. Unexpected but very welcome. All the food was great and really hot, what more could you ask for?

Over salted chips. Some of the dishes tasted tangy and off. The free prawn crackers were inedible. Had to thow a 3rd of it away. What a waste.

Definitely wouldn’t recommend, everything was extremely salty and had a bad taste, we left most of it as it wasn’t edible.

It's a takeaway so can't say about atmosphere. Food is good, price not to bad though no takeaway is cheap.

I have got to say this is one of the tastiest Chinese take away I have had in a very long while. My son and husband both said the same. All plates were empty and we could not have eaten any more.

Just had delivery ,on time, food was lovely and hot ,and everything was delicious , always have had my takeaway from wonderfood but haven't had one for ages because heard it had been taken over and. wasn't very good . Well definitely think it's better than ever .

Always get my Chinese from here now as it's the best one in town. Lots of vegetarian options. Reasonable prices. Large portions. Only takes cash.

My partner had the chicken balls, she complained the meat was tough, I had the vegetarian curry, I knew it'd be spicy but spice was all I tasted, it wasnt even too spicy it just wasnt nice. The chips were awful and we ordered a bottle of 7up but the website declined to indicate that it was 7up free, we assumed it would be regular.

I have eaten take away food for years and this one is one of the best. Worth a try, everyone's taste is different but I think that I have yet to have a dish from here I haven't eaten and enjoyed.

Awesome food good sizes and great service

Ordered from here tonight and the order included 2 portions of duck in plum sauce. For some reason it comes with a layer of pineapple chunks that is at least equal to the amount of duck. The 'sauce' was like water. I phoned and queried that I had been sent the wrong dish and was informed that duck in plum sauce comes with pineapple chunks. Would not bother again as it was duck in pineapple water and no sign of plum sauce

Ordered many times from this Chinese always been lovely, but tonight's order was horrendous so disappointed and unfortunately won't be ordering again. Chips were rock hard/overdone and cold. Chicken balls were so tough i nearly pulled my teeth out trying to bite through one. Ribs were again extremely dry and tough. Bbq was like water, no consistency at all. Prawn crackers were also very well done. A waste of £30

This is most certainly the VERY BEST Chinese takeaway in Dereham. The service too is EXCELLENT. I have always used the delivery service. The food always arrives on time is hot and delicious.

Wonderfood catered for my birthday party yesterday OUTSIDE for 12 people. The delivery arrived on time and was fantastic. The food was hot, presented very well and everybody enjoyed the feast. Well done Wonderfood and thank you for making my day so special.

Portion sizes are good but quality and taste not the best. I ordered mixed hoeur dervs. Spring rolls ok. Spare ribs dry and overcooked. Satay sauce for satay chicken watery. Won tons waste of time. Seaweed no cinnamon sugar. Prawn toast was fine. I also ordered A3 set menu for one. Soup was good. Chilli beef not the usual colour and no chilli kick at all. Chicken chow mein possibly most disappointing. Very full portion but that consisted of mainly dry noodles and not much else. No sauce. No flavour. Hardly any chicken. Price was about standard so can't really be forgiven when other Chinese in the area provide better. Not a Chinese I will be rushing back to.

Got a takeaway from this place and it was really nice. The food took around 20 minutes on a busy weekend evening which was surprising, and everything was still hot when I got it home. I was hoping for delivery, but unfortunately the drivers were unavailable. However, the person on the phone was very apologetic and I didn't have much of a gripe with picking it up as I wasn't far away. I ordered the bean curd in black bean sauce with a mushroom curry and some rice and everything was really tasty. Also comes with prawn crackers if you order more than £13 worth which is a nice little touch. There was antibacterial gel on entrance and everything felt clean when I was waiting which is always a nice touch, especially nowadays with the whole 'the end is nigh' pandemic.

Maybe it is wonderfood but we will never know! 1hr 10minutes only to be told they can’t find our address!? This is after I had to call to chase them up!? Our postcode takes you straight to our house.....not even an apology!?

We love the food from this take away, our favourite in Dereham. We order and collect, always ready on time usually 15-20mins from placing order. Only accepts cash though, no cards. Food is always top quality. Would highly recommend.

Should be renamed ‘Wonder if this is actually Food. One of the worst Chinese takeaways I’ve ever eaten. Would have been a more satisfying experience if I’d just thrown the money away rather than waste valuable bin space with this awful takeaway that I had to dispose of instead of eat.

Wonderfood is by far the best chinese takeaway in Dereham! The prices are decent, delivery is quick and the quality of food is always fantastic. The beef curry is my favourite, you get plenty of good quality beef and lots of delicious sauce. The rice is always very good and I love eating my curries with prawn crackers which you get for free here whereas other local chineses charge for them! The chow mains are also delicious and you get such a big portion! I would highly recommend Wonderfood!

Gabe these up about 10years ago. Thought I would try as my local was on a Chinese holiday. What a mistake. Chips where soggy the chicken ball tasted of garlic and the prawn crackers where soft. King prawn omelette wasn't to bad but tasted better.. SFR was acceptable. Won't be going back

I've tried sereval times at Wonder Food and I found their food were amazing. Delivered services were good and the staffs friendly and polite. I would recommend to my friends when they pass through.

Ordered from here as they offered home delivery to my village. The food arrived warm, it was bland and not very visually appealing. Not much meat in the dishes.

Ordered from here after phoning my usual resteraunt and there was a 2 hour wait. Wonder food managed to deliver in 45mins despite it being a Saturday evening and the food turned up hot. Thought it was a bit more expensive than my usual go to chinese, there was lots of meat in the special rice and good bbq ribs and black bean beef. The kung po chicken wasn't particularly spicy and the chicken pieces were very small which was a bit of a let down. Overall not a bad Chinese and they get the delivery service right.

Pretty awful, chicken in lemon sauce overcooked & no sauce, chicken in kung p.o. sauce looked more like left over Christmas dinner. Altogether tough & tasteless! Very dissapointing as have previously had nice meals from here!!

Visited on way home from Polar express yesterday. Had lovely crispy chilli beef, pancake roll and chips. Lovely staff. Quick service. They do not take cards so it's cash payment only.

We have never had a bad takeaway (delivery) from Wonderfood. Would recommend. it is not a restaurant just a takeaway. Free delivery if local after a certain price, but cannot remember what it is. Would recommend. You pay if you are in the shop and ordering food, but on home delivery you pay when they bring it to the door.

I’m a fan of lamb curries and the curry from here is just AMAZING!! Food is just a million times better than anywhere iv been around Dereham/Norwich/Swaffham. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Have reviewed this before. Best chinese in Dereham by far! Since having a meal from them we won't go anywhere else! If anything it has even improved. Give them a try as we did - you won't be disappointed!

The best Chinese around. So fresh and so yummy! Didn’t feel gross like I normally would after a big Chinese binge! Can’t wait for another meal! The set menus are great value!

Our first time trying these as they are slightly more 'out of the way' than the other chinese restaurants. When we have chinese it really is a treat and it is nice to have something special. The set meal for 2 (B2) really did fit the bill and it certainly tasted a cut above the others. We will definitely be using this chinese again - friendly people too!

Honestly can't fault this place, we regularly order a take away for delivery, we first used Wonder food due to a menu popping through our door saying they would deliver to our village (Mattishall) as nearly all of the other take aways won't deliver to us it was worth trying them out, and I'm so glad we did!

Good standard fare Chinese but nothing special.ood value It gains from delivering but loses on some stodgy dishes. At the end of the day for good value fare that is always reliable head to Wonder Food. If you want something special go elsewhere.

I thought it would be worth a second review as I really do rate this place and they deserve to be higher up the rankings. Good size portions, good value and they do delivery. Can't ask for more really. Note: Takeaway only!

Had a leaflet through our door in Brisley. Decided to give it a go. Pretty poor and tasteless compared to our usual Tin Yau in Fakenham which is cheaper and a million times better! Also do don't get anywhere near as much as Tin Yau. Meal for 4 which we all agreed was below average. Sorry. :-(

We started using Wonder Food when our previous Chinese takeaway closed on the recommendation of some friends and wished we had tried them sooner. Takeaway only, although they do deliver around the town although a minimum spend applies. The takeaway itself is tucked away but there is plenty of parking in Morrisons car park or Commercial Road.
