Excellent food, nice staff. I don't know why they serve the food in plastic tubs though? I'd rather foil cartoons.

Our first Chinese meal after moving to Toftwood 🤗 my wife had deep fried Chicken sweet n sour, I had Singapore Chow Mein Delicious😋, Delicious😋, Delicious😋 and only 2 minutes down the road🤗 what more could anyone want🤔 Well done everyone at China Dynasty 👏👏

This was the best Chinese we have had in a long time

China Dynasty is the take-out at the end of the road, but somehow we always go elsewhere. Our usual was closed so we ordered here. A nice surprise. A good mix of starters and mains, all very tasty and good quality and produced inside 20 minutes. A very credible take-out.

Look around during the evening what was available and saw China Dynasty with good reviews. Service was friendly and excellent, portions were big and very good. It was also busy taking orders which is always a good sign.

The food is average. It's not great, but not bad. Waiting times get ridiculous at prime time.

The staff were school kids who made mistakes with the order that with a £25 minimum card charge was at the customers expense. The food was so salty, regular customers must have blood pressure readings off the scale. Won't be going back.

Mostly ok, sweet and sour chicken really good. rice tasted burnt. Not the best but not the worst.

Been going to China Dynasty for quite a number of years and has always been the best in Dereham, and as it was the best you didn't mind collecting and not worrying about the lack of delivery service. Not anymore....We had takeaway this evening and it was appalling...Staff rude upon collection. The food wasn't good, Duck in orange sauce ...Burnt. Singapore chow mein was the worst i'd ever had...Not sure what it was but a very poor attempt at Singapore chow mein....honey ribs...Flavourless...I could go on! Maybe a change in chef and staff??, but if customers are to remain loyal, high standards need to be maintained. Will I return? Not for a while and hope it improves!!

Such a shame, we've been enjoying the food from China Dynasty on Stone Road for years but since its been under new management the quality has dropped off with the last meal being the worst "Chinese" we've ever had. Unfortunately we won't be going back.

Very friendly service, really good portion sizes for the price. The only big down side was they forgot the duck thai green curry from our order so hubby went back for it as it was a birthday meal for my son. However when he got it home it looked really unappetising, the duck was nothing but fat and the sauce was very watery. My son actually vomited a few minutes after eating it. Such a shame because the chow meins we had and the Singapore fried rice and chicken balls were really lovely. It won't stop us going back but think we'll give the duck dishes a miss unless it's crispy duck.

Worst Chinese takeaway I have ever eaten. Congealed mess of batter and fat. The pancake roll was visually disturbing,and dripping in fat. Will not be returning any time soon. Very disappointed.

So I’ve just found the best chinese takeaway in Dereham. A lot of the local so called competition need to take a night off and get a take away from here to find out how the job should be done. Generous portions, cooked nicely, great flavours and reasonably priced for what you are getting. Will definitely keep going back 👍

I've used China Dynasty on a few occasions but it isnt as good as other local chinese takeaways, you get less food for more money! Their beef curry is ok but not great and the meat isnt very good quality. Their chow meins are always dry and not very flavoursome. Most chineses throw in prawn crackers for free but this one charges for them and last time I didnt get any at all! The only food I enjoy is their chips and sweet and sour chicken balls! I also find it very disappointing that whenever I phone through an order to collect its never ready on time and I end up sitting there waiting for up to 20 minutes! As friendly as the front of house staff are, I have witnessed them having arguments with the staff out the back which is very unprofessional in front of customers. I'm not in a rush to use this chinese again, I will stick with my favourite next time!

I ordered by telephone at 5:30 on a Saturday evening,was told the food will be ready in around 30 minutes as it was quite a large order.. The food food was was ready on time. All food was piping hot and very tasty. Portion sizes were ok, not overly generous for the price though. The staf were freindly and dealing well with a very busy Saturday evening.

On holiday in the area so had to take a bunt at any local take away. Ordered over the phone and they said it’d take 10 mins which was just the amount of time to drive there. Four tasty main courses and sides collected and all tasted lovely. Would highly recommend

Not had a take away from here for about 8 months, they were 15 minutes late with my order ( I had pre-ordered) but it was very tasty .

Good food albeit a little expensive

As passing visitors near this takeaway we read previous reviews & were expecting great food, how disappointed were we? Having had Lemon Chicken just once before in our local Chinese we were looking forward to similar here, however this was just awful! The chicken was tough & stringy, the batter rock hard around the edges yet soggy in the middle (in fact it just slid off the chicken before it reached our mouth!) and the sauce was virtually none existent . The shop was empty so its not that they were under pressure, the food should have been spot on but sadly it was far from it.

Wonderful Chinese takeaway. Tasty, plenty of food and thankfully no MSG. We ordered a large banquet if 19 items...it was ready in time, correct order, hot & tasty!! Wil Thoughoroughly recommend China Dynasty!

Oh my days! THE most epic prawn and chicken ‘balls’...just the best! Ordered a medium-scale Saturday night takeaway whilst visiting my dad... Sad news on waiting just over an hour for food, we live in the city so wait is much much less, but wow was it worth it... Piping hot food, every item tasting different to the last, well packaged, and bang-on-time for collection. Will be using again and I’d easily recommend. Didn’t take any photos, this is t Facebook!

Best Chinese in Dereham. Admittedly the rest are pretty awful so the dynasty don’t really have a lot of competition however that doesn’t take anything away from the fact they serve fantastic food and a reasonable price.

Without a doubt the best Chinese takeaway in town. Because they're good, they're often very busy - so get your orders in early.

Never had to wait very long for the food and every time I receive my meal it is always of top quality. I would definitely recommend it.

Not bad overall but the chicken balls were only half cooked so went in the bin.

Got home after collecting our take away and found that the chips we had ordered were not there. We live about 5 miles away so going back for just chips not an option. Disappointing when you don't get your full order.

So glad we found this gorgeous Chinese takeaway. The food was delicious and not expensive either. The lady who served us last night went above and beyond helping us which was very much appreciated. Thank you for excellent service and food.

When we want a Chinese takeaway we always use China Dynasty. Never had a bad meal from them. But if you are eating on a Saturday night make sure you order by phone first or you will be in for a long wait. Staff always very friendly

This is a take away which had a good review or so we thought, it turned out to be the worst chinese food I'll ever taste, we ordered No 86 egg fried rice which had been cooked with soy sauce and loads of salt also it was brown not white, also we had No 17 Sweet & sour chicken balls but got No 17a Deep fried chicken bites which again was too salty and horrible, also No 92 King prawn chow mein again much too much salt, No 7a Crispy pancake roll not cooked one end and burnt the other end, We phoned and complained and was told that what the chief cooks his food like and would only refund the No 17a as this was a mistake, we took photos of all the food being thrown away as it was that bad, the rude women said she was the boss and we had to show her the photos, well I've put the photos up on here but can't upload the video which shows all the food . Will contact my bank to see if I can get a charge back on my card.

The ladies working knew the menu well and we're friendly. The food was disgusting! I had a shredded chilli chicken and it tasted of nothing but vinegar... Certainly didn't taste like chilli! The rice was nice but even a 10 year old can make fried rice! Overall I think it's the worst Chinese I have ever eaten, I've never thrown a Chinese in the bin.... Until last night. Will never go back 😷

After moving to Dereham two years ago we had tried all the Chinese takeaways in town, until we got recommended here. They don’t deliver so you have to drive out to collect which isn’t a big issue as the food is amazing! Full of flavour and big portions, on the food front we have never had an issue. Hence the reason we have now been regulars in the last few months. But one big issue is the timings. Granted the food is always still piping hot when we get home, but they might as well send you your collection time via telegraph! Give or take a few occasions we have had to sit and wait for well over 30 mins for our food. Which granted in a busy take away isn’t a long time - but surely by now they should understand their peak times and be able to give times accordingly! Tonight I ordered food at 6pm, earliest collection time was 7:05pm. My husband arrived on time and didn’t get served until twenty minutes later. He has now been sat there for almost 1 hour after our collection time! Great food- bad punctuality

Excellent food, we moved away from Dereham a few years ago and still keep going back. The crispy chilli beef is the best I have ever had.

I haven't been here for well over a year, but just fancied a Chinese the other night. I sat waiting for my order and couldn't help but notice how grubby everywhere looked. I looked for the food hygiene rating certificate and couldn't see it on display. It had been removed from the menu too. My Chinese was absolutely horrible. Out of curiosity i decided to look online at the food hygiene rating. It is a 3!!!!. It used to be a 5. No wonder they have now decided not to display it. Explains also why it was so horrible compared to how good it used to be. Wont be going back. I also think that every business should have to display their rating, not just chose to if it is good!

Awful experience. Called up to place my order and was asked to wait while he served someone else. Must've waited 15 minutes while he continued to serve multiple people. Hung up in the end and went elsewhere.

Good food and really great service

Just had a woeful takeaway, the pancake rolls have changed, and were cold and strange tasting. The chicken curry was dry and tasteless. As this is our first bad experience, we can only assume it's changed ownership. We won't be going back!

Possibly the best Chinese in Dereham unfortunately due to how busy they are they don't do delivery and sometimes there may be a long wait.

Comida maravillosa, cada vez. Nunca vamos a ningún otro lado si queremos una comida china. Las raciones son grandes y muy sabrosa. El servicio es rápido y la señora tiene muy buen conocimiento de cada plato. Si tienes una pregunta ella siempre puede responder sin ninguna duda. Precios decentes para comida encantadora.

Go to this take out regularly, is the best Chinese around, only had comparable in China town in London. Try Deep fried shredded beef in chilli sauce, it fantastic. They do not have a web site, if you find a scan of menu on line, its about 10 years old & out of date & not posted by them. Karen runs reception with her rod of iron. No delivery as always busy, & order with plenty of time to spare, can be over an hour wait when busy. Great place, enjoy.

This is the only take away restaurant that I know of in town that doesn't offer a delivery service.Why ? Because the food is so good that people are happy to collect it.Never had a poor meal from China Dynasty and we have eaten their food regularly for years now.We've tried all the others but still end up back with the best.

A simple, basic Chinese take-away, with a friendly, family atmosphere, welcoming staff and serious;y good size portions. Food is cooked fresh, and this can mean that there is a bit of a wait at busy times.

As others have said this is a very busy takeaway, especially at weekends. Have sometimes phoned and been told there is a one hour wait. Excellent choice of dishes. Ones I have tried have been very good.
