Awful over an hour wait and stone cold least I know not to order off these cowboys again how other people order from here and think it’s acceptable is beyond belief

Really tasty pizza, but I have ordered many times with them and always get past the delivery window (1hr) and have to ring them up to remind them about my order, meaning delivery usually takes at least an hour and a half. Not great tbh.

The food was very tasty. Such a shame it took 1 hour 20 minutes to be delivered and when it arrived one of the dishes was missing. We were told the missing dish would come in 20 minutes but after 50 minutes and two calls to the restaurant it still didn't arrive. This was our first time trying this restaurant and it's a real shame as the food was really nice, but the service was not.

Never dissappoints, salads always fresh, chicken kebabs always tender and tasty, plus the best chips in town!

Unfortunately, I have to update my review. We visited last month and my gammon was undercooked, it was hard to see completely, as it was quite dark in there, so I ate it but that night was violently ill with food poisoning. It knocked me for 6 for atleast 24 hours after being sick. My husband contacted them to advise and all they did was offer a free meal if we return, no refund for the meal that made me ill. I will not be returning to the place that made me this ill and risking eating any more of their food and the fact that they would not atleast offer a refund for the meal, I feel disgusted about. It is such a shame as we have eaten here before and the staff were friendly, nice atmosphere, but it's not worth the risk.

Just arrived home after 3 nights stay to see family , exhausted is the word. The room was clean and warm as was the large bathroom, but the noise in room 6, didn't sleep a wink, loud music on Friday and Saturday until 11pm and what must have been a lock in until midnight on the Sunday. Roadside so traffic noise but more annoying was the room lit up all night by a street lamp. I'm pleased the pub is thriving in this day and age, and I should have put more thought into my planning. Friendly staff, but home for a good night's sleep tonight.

Breakfast served until 2pm and all really reasonably priced. Food was cooked fresh and served piping hot. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will be back when next in Halstead

Sat down and ordered. Food good but before finished drinks told that they were shutting straight away. No chance to order cake or another drink. Never told us that when ordered otherwise would have gone somewhere else. No wonder so quiet if that’s how customers treated

Such a brilliant idea, lovely to meet and interact with the gorgeous rescue cats whilst having a cup of tea and some cake, you can also adopt when it's their time to be rehomed.

Went for Sunday lunch and ordered roast beef and asked for it to be cooked pink, the waitress said it will be served rare, waited and a waiter turned up with very well done meat, we said we ordered rare, he went back to the kitchen only to return with the same put it on the table to say that’s all we have!!!!!!!!!! An older man appeared and blamed the young waiter, we then got up and walked out as nothing else was offered, never go to this pub with staff attitude like that because they don’t care about customers, worst pub experience ever😡😡😡😡😡

Changes will be made if you ask Costa customer services to help (but this gets tiresome!) I received an apology and a free drink when I came across ageism, and it seemed to stop. Some visits go smoothly. Then a new visit is shocking again, and we can wait for too long, while staff chat, meander, and slowly serve those at the head of the queue. When my macaroni was ready, it was placed on the counter even though I was eating in and the order wasn't complete. "There's your order," said an assistant ... "The mocha coffee?" I asked. Oh ... it was coming. Did I want "chocolate sprinkles"? I agreed, but cocoa powder was shaken on. I waited again. The cup was plonked on the counter. No tray? A customer to my left saw this nonsense, reached for a tray, and handed it to me; she was kind but it was a used one. Another customer caught my eye and laughed. "It's even worse in Colchester!"
