The best restaurants in Halstead St Andrew's Braintree East of England

Great pub , friendly staff and although I went for an afternoon and football session and can imagine it's a good craic in the evening.

Just wanted to make people aware.. we don’t normally order from riverside chip shop but did as a last minute quick thing due to the kids come home late. Anyway the delivery driver tried my door handle when he delivered! Rang the shop and I told the gentleman on the phone to be met with ok? And oh right sorry about that and didn’t seem interested whatsoever! Luckily my partner was here as he ran to the door! Just wanted to make people aware of this!

The bar manager is a wetty. He was very rude and barred my friend for no good reason

Weird food, weird decor and a strict “no refund” policy if you don’t like the food… very odd

First and last time of visiting this place, service very poor, food was rubbish and very over priced! Which is a shame, it has the potential of being a great place to visit, with the right people in place to run it properly.

I ordered a crispy prawn balls and Ive explained it to them what it is?? They said ok I know what you mean then when I collected the food it is skinless prawn on a blunt sweet sour sauce my god 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣🤣 this place is a joke dont order here youll be wasting your money

We enjoy the food here. My daughter loves the cheese garlic bread. Friendly staff good price.

Make the pizza late and forget to put the chicken in the chicken pizza, congratulations guy I would never come back!!

Horrid bread cold bacon and not proper sausages and the meat was cold. I will never go here again ,worst food i have ever had

One would expect a takeaway or restaurant to be ready for lunchtime with a large selection of goods on sale ready for a ruch. Sadly for this branch of Greggs this has not been the case on several visits on a Saturday. Arriving at a little after 12 to be met with empty trays, long waiting times ir to be told 'I'll have a look' is not the sort of response you expect to be met with. You could understand a few items to be be awaiting replenishment, but empty cabinets! Totally unexceptable. This review is by no means typical of all branches of Greggs, but is certainly the of the Halstead branch on at least four Saturday visits
