The best restaurants in Billericay East Basildon East of England

Had lunch at Oliver's last Friday. Wonderful food, very generous portions (so some food came home with us in a doggy bag) and very friendly service.

Lovely food and extra early so I didn’t have tip ready for driver, will make it up next time, please try and get Salmon back on the menu.

Absolute cheek of them. Driver arrived wouldn't leave until my wife gave them a cash tip. Won't be ordering from them again. Terrible service.

Just to mention to anyone looking to book this first rate restaurant there is presently a closed for refurbishment sign with no other details as to a reopening date. Hope its not too long as its always well worth a visit.

Works Christmas meal, booked early in the year in order to get a good date in December and time to sort the menu and monies from all staff attending.(£22 per head) Despite contacting the restaurant,as I have a food allergy and wanted to make sure there was something I could eat on the Tapas menu,by email and several phone calls I never heard back from the chefs. Instead I called in, in person twice, to discuss what I could eat from the menu and agreed that the chef would make a separate platter for me for the evening in December. So it was really disappointing when I arrived and notified the waiting staff that I was the person with the allergy and had arranged with the chef for a separate platter that nobody knew anything about it. The venue was nice, live music but quiet enough to chat. However there is no heating on so it is chilly and freezing cold in the washrooms. A good place to visit to meet up with friends as long as you don't have any allergies as there is not enough communication between kitchen and waiting staff

We attended tonight at the last minute as I had seen the restaurant on Friday when visiting another restaurant and thought I’d give it a go. We do go out regularly so we were very disappointed with the service, the food was nice but the service with the drinks and taking orders was far too slow and it wasn’t busy. If the service has been good we would have been back. They charged a service charge which I feel considering everything we shouldn’t have paid but my wife did.

Sadly a terrible restaurant experience, and probably the worst valentine's day meal I've had, due to poor management. The most frustrating thing was waiting 2 hours for food (noodles and a green Thai), while watching countless takeaways and deliveroo orders leaving the premise. To top it off, when the food came, my husband was given a saucepan of curry and a basket of rice (in a plastic bag), without a bowl to eat it from - we eventually got, a plate... Shame, because it was good here last time. Management needs to focus on those that have travelled in for a dining experience (especially on valentine's day), and not how many deliveroo orders they can get out while people sit, wait, and watch food they could be eating leave. All tables in eye sight had no sign of food either. It was really shocking! We won't be going back.

We met for a meal with the family to celebrate my granddaughters 1st birthday. It was beautiful food and well served. Thank you all

We ordered from their website and got a 20% discount which was handy. The website isn't setup for card payments so it was slightly confusing, but my order did go through and they phoned up to confirm thay the order had gone through, so absolutely fine. Food turned up bang on time. Four of us ordered and we all commented on how good the food was. I had a Lamb Rogan Josh and the flavour was amazing, much more than i usually find in one. No complaints at all and will be ordering from them in the future.

Was on my way home from work when I passed pink garlic. I thought let me treat myself for dinner. I'm glad I did the standard of food was still great the value still very competitive and friendly staff.

Ordered four kebabs chicken shish lamb shish kofte and doner as was hungry all came in one pitta with salad that were similar in size to a regular lamb doner. What a complete rip off I managed to fit the whole lot in the pitta provided which was regular sized, I have eaten from here before takeaway and was always happy but I will never order from here again. Disappointed

Visited a few times and both eaten in and take away and this is PROBERBLY the BEST FISH and CHIP SHOP in BILLERICAY with KIND and HELPFUL STAFF and FRESH FISH COOKED TO ORDER.

The food is fantastic. Lunch deal is the best I’ve ever come across. The staff are sooo nice!! Can’t fault this place.
