Best Indian takeaway by miles in billericay got it this evening and it was stunning-couldnt recommend enough

Great as usual, having tasted the sauce that came with my wife's butter chicken, it would be great to have a vegetable version.

Meat Madras, Lemon Rice, Aloo Gobi and Lime Pickle…… amazing. 5*

Thoroughly enjoyed as always. Consistently excellent.

Bayleaf has restored my faith in a local curry !, flavour, freshness and quality……. I won’t be going anywhere else now so keep it up.

I ordered here for the first time, because of the reviews and I have to say it is one of the worst Indian takeaway's I've ever eaten. It's tasteless, it turned up cold, they forgot my Mango Chutney that I paid extra for. There was no cheese on Naan.

We’ve been using the Bayleaf for over 10 yrs from takeaways/deliveries for 2 people to catering for a party of 10. Lovely food and always deliver on time.

Do not be fooled by the reviews on Just Eat or Deliveroo. I unfortunately was, the food was tasteless, turned up cold, items missing as I had nothing else to eat in the house I ate some of it and now I have a belly ache. I would avoid going here to spend your hard earned money, when you want to relax and get a takeout. Go somewhere else. I called to discuss, was offered a free order if I call directly, but to be honest I don't think I will be taking the offer up. The only thing that would satisfy me at this point is a full refund. Incredibly unhappy about this.

The Tandoori Chicken was really nice. Succulent and a really nice spicy flavour. Would definitely recommend this restaurant

The best curry I’ve had for a long time. Can’t fault it! We ordered for it to be delivered later and it came exactly to the minute that we had requested. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

Use Bayleaf all the time and have always been 100% happy with food and punctuality. last night's order was well short of the usual high standard. Had Lamb Rogan and it was anaemic, watery and tasteless. Usually they are on the spicier end of the scale, but not this time. Maybe a one off bad day and I will go back because of past excellence experiences. let's hope it was just a one off, as they are my favourite take away in the area.

Have ordered a few times from here. Very large portions of prawns/chicken/lamb each time and extremely tasty food. I always collect and food has always been ready on time. Would definitely recommend.

Food was great as always, order was earlier than stated which is always a plus. Spicier dishes have defo got more of a kick than usual from here, but I like spicy so that’s good for me!

This was the best Indian I’ve had in a very long time. I won’t be going any where else now. Delicious, quality ingredients and arrived piping hot.

Was really gutted with the food from here, I love trying new places as we’ve just moved but I had to drain each dish to get rid of the oil sat on top, all seemed bland and the onion bahjis were rock hard just pure oil right through to the Center. I wouldn’t order again unfortunatly 😢

Unfortunately this was the worst Indian takeaway that we ever had. We have ordered from Bayleaf before without any problems but tonight’s order no good. Only lukewarm but worst was 2 of 4 dishes were tasteless which is the last thing you expect from this cuisine. Bad day kitchen, really hope this was a one off !

Always amazing food and service - by far the best Indian in Billericay

Forgot our onion barghi:( this seems to happen a lot a product seems to be forgot most the time. The naan bread was nice but dry did not seem fresh. The food was not pipping hot it was Luke warm meaning I had to warm it up myself this is a shame as we only live less than 10 minutes from the restaurant, must have been one of the last drop offs.

Have used The Bayleaf many times. They forgot items last time, but thought i’d give them another chance. This time I Ordered online. They Cancelled the order after an hour for no apparent reason. Will never use them again.

Ordered twice in error and been charged for both. Restaurant was informed and meal was NOT prepped twice. I want my money back Just Eat.

Unfortunately I won’t be using them again. The food is nice but they always forget something. Literally every single time I order from them they forget something. Tonight was not exception, and when I called them they were too busy to drop it off. I wouldn’t normally mind, and if it was once or twice I’d forget about it, but it’s every single time

Terrible. Always forget stuff, and apparently they’re always too busy to deliver what they have forgotten. They do it to me every time! I could probably have a meal for 4 with all the stuff they have forgotten

Normally a really nice place to order from. Unfortunately arrived half hour late and was cold. Had to microwave it to make it edible. Unfortunately other items had to be binned due to them being soggy Have requested a refund

Have had food from them for many years, but the last 4 meals have been very disappointing, I suspect there has been a change of chef. After the 3rd sub par meal I gave them a break, but went back a Cople of months later, and was very disappointed. Sorry bayleaf, I'm done :(

Used Bayleaf quite a few times in the past but this might be the last. The food was so bland I cook the same thing myself! Not sure what's happened but rubbish compared to before

Food is always hot, well packed and very tasty. The extra popadoms, dip and salad were unexpected but great additions. Will order again for sure.

Shocking, the food was greasy, the packet with onion bhajis were leaking in the bag from oil. The rice as greasy. We ordered lamb Bhuna, the lamb was tough, you couldn’t even chew it. Very disappointed with the food, expecting a full refund because it was not eatable.

First time ordering an Indian since we’ve moved to the area and were looking forward to trying this one given the huge amounts of 5-6* reviews but we were quite disappointed. We got the set meal for 2 and then a few extra sides and it was all very bland. The curries (CTM and Lamb Bhuna) were nice but not even a hint of heat, and the rest was just a bit tasteless. Nothing wrong with it, but wouldn’t order again. They also forgot the onion Bhajis from the order.

Keema meat tasted off, bone in the chicken tikka, stuffed paratha also pretty bad. Food used to be really good here.

Filled a hole but every dish was bland. A real shame as this used to be the 'go-to' takeaway.

Regular to Bayleaf and normally very happy, however I placed an order this evening and was very disappointed - most ended up in the bin. Naan very oily and cold, rice and paneer tikka hard and cold. I understand not was late on a Monday night and they wanted to close up but I still expect quality food. I expect this is a ‘one off’ as mentioned the food is normally great!

Ordered on the website and went to collect and they hadn't turned their computer on so only turned it on when I arrived and the order then was processed so had to wait an extra 30 mins. No apology, nothing. Then ordered 2 peshwari naans and didn't have any coconut in them at all. Also found a delightful piece of string I our chicken tikka masala. Don't think I'll be ordering from here again.

The food was fantastic quality, huge pieces of meat, very well seasoned excellent portion size and very reasonable prices, my only problem was I dropped some on my best trousers haha I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a tasty curry!

The usual high standards we always get from here.

Normally my go to curry house but sadly very disappointed. Only one mint sauce normally get two, one just not enough. Sheek was very underwhelming, almost anaemic and burnt. No salad. Shame as usually very good.

Food tasted lovely but I had a couple of chicken bones in my butter chicken curry, never had that before in my life. Was quite concerning

40 minutes late, food not hot, I was told the order "just left" at 19:00. It was a further half an hour from that point I received my warm order.

I ordered a chicken tikka masala I did not receive this. I’m not sure what it was that I got but was totally bland and not edible went straight in bin. Shame as normally pleased with food from here

We are vegetarians - so we got veg korma, garlic naan, paneer tikka and aloo gobi and I don’t remember last time I had such a good food!! Recommend !!

Was first ever order. Ordered at 19:13 arrived at 20:50 when was meant to be delivered 20:00-20:20. Food was cold which isn’t a surprise given it was late and tasted stale. A lot of grease. Very disappointed and won’t be ordering again

Food had leaked everywhere in the bag when it arrived and was very oily this time. In the past I have always enjoyed the food from here but after the last one I won’t be rushing back.
