Food is amazing in this place, every dish I've had has been lovely, food and drinks are not that expensive either, staff are so friendly and good service.

Good well cooked Turkish food. Effess bottled beer and good choice of wines. Family run. Good place.

We went on a girls night out on a Saturday night there was 6 of us. We booked at 20:30 when we arrived our table was all set up and ready for us. The restaurant was really busy but the service was really quick. We all ordered starters and mains as well, but before the starters came out they brang us some complementary of some Turkish bread and some sauce. Delicious. We all ordered different starters and different mains all the dishes were so tasty for the value. The service was amazing they were all kind and friendly. It was my first experience but would definitely go back.

Went to Menad on Thursday the 26/9/2024 - went in at 9.30pm was taken to a sit and welcomed. took our drinks order we had cocktails and then ordered our meals. At 9.55pm (We had only been at our table for 25 minutes) The waitress brought over our bill and said we are closing now. I said to her we have only been here 25 minutes, she ignored me. The waitress then opened the doors to make the restaurant cold so that we would be uncomfortable. I find this absolutely disgusting. If you are closing you tell the clients before they sit down. The bill was £54, Do not go here, the waitress was so rude and clearly just wanted to take our money and then close. This is not how to run a restaurant. Better to go to Meskin where they know how to treat their clients. Just AWFUL

I have tried several times with this restaurant and unfortunately once again the food was totally under par. We ordered a takeaway and unfortunately, one of the Lamb dishes had just 3 little bits of lamb in. It was heavy in vegetables to boulster it up, we paid nearly £18 for that. The food was cold when it arrived. I don't mind paying money for a good meal, but this was not good meal. I have tried both eat in & takeaways & I've had the same experience.

Eddie and staff were exceptionally kind. I recommend the combination lamb and chicken kebab plate. Delicious. The lamb shank was also good.

The Best Turkish Restaurant in Essex! I had a lovely meal there, the service is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We have been to this restaurant many times and it NEVER disappoints. The staff are lovely (and efficient) and we have never had better Turkish food. No need to check out anywhere else, just go!

Celebrated with friends for a 75th Birthday lovely clean comfortable restaurant. Friendly staff and Chef. Food was amazing, best Turkish around. A huge thank you to Jimmy for making this occasion so special for my friend. We had such a wonderful afternoon. Definitely will be back and would definitely recommend Menad to our family and friends. 👏👏👍

Dropped in for dinner after getting off the train and not feeling like cooking. So glad we did. Been here a few times but this place feels like it has got better and is cooking some of the best flavoured Turkish food I’ve had in the area. The chicken shish was incredible. It was moist beautifully spiced and the chilli sauce is just on the right side of spicy aromatic flavour to accompany. I’m a massive hummus kavurma fan and won’t have anything else to enjoy with their delicious bread. We had a delightful French Sauvignon and the restaurant was busy with all age groups and group sizes, definitely a sign you are doing something well when you attract such a mixed clientele. All in, a gorgeous 2 courses and a tasty bottle of wine for just over £70, such good value.

Another great evening at Menad. Superb food and great service. A brilliant independent restaurant and highly recommended. We were very well looked after. This is a true gem in Billericay. Thank you.

Called in for lunch, although the 2 course offer on the website is no longer available (should be taken down, really) The choices are from the main menu with a 25% discount at lunchtime. The food was very tasty and of the usual Turkish offering with some specials thrown in. Good atmosphere, great service and reasonable prices.

5 star for a wonderful experience. The food was beyond expectations, The staff were friendly and the ambience was calm and enjoyable. Workmates get together. 7 of us ordered different dishes like garlic prawns, halloumi, calamari and tarama as starters. The main course was chicken shish, chicken kulbasti, lamb kulbasti, sarma lamb beyti, sea bream. Dessert chocolate flake ice cream. Mouth watering experience. Highly recommended. Will visit again. Surprised by the high rating. Maybe we were unlucky on the day. The falafel were the most bland we've ever tasted. The BBQ'd meats were a little undercooked and again lacked character. The kofta was red in the middle and tasted raw. Not my spice going on. This was disappointing. Chilli sauce was fresh with a lovely kick. The service was excellent.

We were very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant totally due to the poor quality of our meals. We ordered a meat moussaka and a vegetable moussaka and a lamb Soto. They all looked like they had come off a conveyor belt with the same display of a few lettuce leaves and a portion of rice and then a slab of moussaka. The food was luke warm and very bland in taste. The tables in the restaurant were very tightly packed and consequently this made the place very noisy. The four of us left most of our meals untouched and the reaction from the manager was very indifferent however our waitress was most efficient and very pleasant. We won’t be returning but I don’t think the establishment will care!

Just had a takeaway wow by far the best Turkish we have had in a long while. On time hot and very tasty. If you want a decent meal please give them a try.

Really nice drinks (we tried mojito with strawberries), friendly and attentive staff. Place was not crowded when we went (on a Sunday at around 8pm). Parking not too close to the restaurant so if it rains can be a bit annoying. Food tasty and well presented. A bit pricy. Overall a highly suggested Turkish restaurant.

The restaurant was full on Saturday night so definitely worth booking in advance. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Chicken shish was beautifully tender and the lamb chops were very tasty.

The staff are very welcoming and you can tell they take pride in their restaurant. My husband and I shared a starter of humus and dip, the bread was delicious. We also shared a meat moussaka and a sheesh, both were excellent. There are so many tasty things on the menu I look forward to returning. We took our 10 month old baby and they provided a high chair. They also didn't mind that we were feeding him a bit of our meal plus some baby puree. We did go when the restaurant opened so we wouldn't annoy too many diners!

The food was tasty and service was great, the only reason for the 4 stars is as they are so popular you are asked to vacant your table once have finished. If I had gone knowing this I would have rated differently. 😊

Some dishes were good such as starters and lamb beating whilst the lamb chops were too tough as they were too chunky. Staff pleasant but we felt under pressure to leave as they were very busy and needed the table. Though my friends have been converted, they now love their Turkish delight 😊

Had dinner at Menad on a whim. Service was great although not busy. Surprisingly the bottle of Merlot was really good. Calamari to share, also very well cooked, not tough. Basket of bread was gorgeous as was the 2 dips of chilli sauce and a garlicky yoghurt one. OH had Kleftico & separate bowl of rice in a spicy sauce which he said was very nice. I had 4 pieces of lamb fillet with a sauce and rice & salad. Had some baklava with ice cream for dessert which was beautiful. Some proper Turkish delight was brought up with the bill, which you can’t beat. A lovely meal, plenty on the plate and very good friendly service & would recommend & return.

Took my family here tonight very local to me I was very impressed. The food was perfect none of us had a complaint and the staff were brilliant very friendly and great help to us I will 100% be going back.

Menad is, by a country mile, the best place to eat in Billericay. The food is absolutely fantastic, cooked fresh to absolute perfection and the staff are fabulous. 5 stars aren't enough - I wish I could give them 10!

Visited for the first time today. We were very impressed. The staff were attentive yet left you alone to dine which is fab. The food tasted fresh and of high quality. The portion sizes were great and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We will be back soon!

Lovely restaurant food was amazing and the staff and service was first rate.

We were very well looked after by our waiter and the front of house team who went above and beyond. They were very helpful and thoughtful. We had some delicious food, and the portions were very generous!

All staff really friendly and super efficient. Food just as good as it gets and reasonably priced too. Great decor, sometimes just a little noisy, but brilliant atmosphere.

If you want to pose, go to Pasha, if you want great authentic Turkish food, at an efficient, warm and welcoming restaurant at reasonable prices, then look no further than Menad... Ferdi and his team have got it just right from the warm welcome, the excellent cocktails and food to the exemplary service. We've been there a number of times and it never fails to impress...you can see the Chefs working hard over the grills to ensure your meal is cooked to perfection and in good time. Ferdi, keeps an eye on everything to ensure everthing is done to make your dinning experience a memorable one. Well done to all..no doubt we will be back... Tessekular ederin, gule gule.....

Super quick and friendly service even when the restaurant is fully booked. Staff are very attentive even when they're serving a full house. Food was brilliant. Everything was tender and juicy. Highly recommended the rice

This was the first time we've been to the menad, and I would highly recommend this restaurant, the food was so tasty, the best chicken I've ever tasted! It was the first time they had a big group meal, think there was nearly 20 people for a surprise birthday / wedding proposal! She said yes! B but the staff were fantastic and very polite and made the whole afternoon a great event for all that attended. We will go back when we are in Billericay in the future! Thank you menad

The food here is great, we’ve been coming as a family for years and it was my 12 year old son’s favourite restaurant and his go-to for a birthday treat. However for some reason they have stopped doing kids portions of Turkish food, the only options for children are burgers, nuggets etc. Shame really because they’ve just lost a whole family’s regular business as we won’t go there anymore because we can get the kids burgers from anywhere.

Went in here last minute. Servers were polite and attentive. Explained different dishes to us etc. Food arrived promptly and was delicious.

Great food great staff very reasonable price

Our first visit to this lovely restaurant, early evening Wednesday. We did not have a booking and they at the time had plenty of availability, let us pick our table. Staff really friendly and helpful. Food was very good served in good time and hot. We had a bottle of the house red that was really nice. We shall return. Had a nice feel about the place.

Absolutely hands down the best Turkish in Billericay! Good sized meals, mouth-watering food and a really friendly service! Our favourite is the mixed chicken and lamb kebab, the rice is particularly flavourful and the salad dressing is soooo delicious! Love the variety of foods on offer, we love the hot prawns, halloumi, olives, and the little extras like dips and warm bread to start and a sweet with the bill. We usually get takeaway but saw the lunch deal which was such good value, we will definitely be returning soon!

Great place. The food and staff are always excellent. We always go for the midweek lunch, where with the 25%discount on everything makes it a really good place to try a few different dishes at the same time . Recommend a visit.

Today my partner and I ate at Menad for the first time. The food was AMAZING. Probably the best Turkish meal outside of Turkey we have ever had. The quality of the food and the service of the staff was brilliant. Only thing I would say, if I was to have a small, tiny criticism, would be the music was too loud and not really appropriate for a dining setting. We will be back, thank you 🙏
