Best kebab place in quite a big radius, we drive from 10+ mins away to collect. Wrapped lamb beyti is a dish of beauty and in truth its a meal for two....but I just can't share it 🤪

Angus burger is below average. Unfriendly staff. Don't accept card payment

Wow a lamb would be more cooked out the field gordon ramsey would of booted out this hells kitchen and when you order check coz they love to add more on probably coz they know they was dealing with s DISABLED person, more fat than a 32st man stuck in his bedroom needing a forklift to get him out, went to give it to my dog and got the 2 fingers shown to me so pre booked the toilet at work 2moz, shame I had to give it a star as my little star is gonna be stinging in the morning just like my wallet has been, if you really hate someone send them here.

Absolutely disgusting! Chicken was not cooked and there was more fat in the doner meat than I have ever seen! Adding thing to the order that we didn’t even order! Rude service over the phone but the delivery guy was polite and friendly poor sod I bet he has to deal with some complaints, if you don’t care what you eat then order here

Expensive but good food so I don't mind. 3 stars because I always phone and preorder. They tell me X mins, I turn up and only when I turn up do they start prepping the food. I wouldn't even mind if they were honest about the times, I'd happily wait.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the kebabs and cheese and chips from this Turkish takeaway and I was absolutely blown away! The kebabs were cooked to perfection and were incredibly juicy and flavorful. The cheese and chips were also delicious, with the cheese being melted to perfection and the chips being perfectly crispy. I would highly recommend this Turkish takeaway to anyone who is looking for a delicious and authentic kebab. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming, which makes it a great place to grab a bite to eat. I've been to a lot of Turkish takeaways, but this one is definitely the best. The kebabs are cooked to perfection and the cheese and chips are delicious. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming. Eaten from here 3 times now. I have the £18 mix grill and my partner has the chicken shish. Beautiful food with chargrilled flavour, for us is 9 out of 10. I’d say prices are fair - can not be compared to a kebab van or shop it’s a big step up from that. Definitely worth a try.

Wouldnt waste your money , this place is vile the kebab is way too greasy and don't even taste like lamb donor kebab. The shop was empty and they still took 30mins to do the food.The service is so slow they all just sit about and talk. Save your money!

Ordered for the first time today, after months of looking for a decent kebab I have finally found one! Portion sizes were good, chicken was flavourful, wrap and rice made a welcome addition, salad was fresh and it was lovely to have the option of sauce on the side. Really enjoyed all of it and will definitely be ordering again.

Had to give it one star, it doesn't have a minus star button, like a lot of others over priced and tight with the meat portions, try and bulk them out with Rice RICE!, i've never in my days had a kebab takeaway with Rice! id avoid if you can.

Food is ok but over priced for what you get. £7.40 For a medium chicken shish that contained 5 chunks of chicken.

Ordered a large mixed kebab. 4 pieces of chicken, 4 pieces of lamb on some rice. So expensive for so little.

WARNING LONG REVIEW AHEAD:What was once a popular place of mine to eat, has now become somewhere I won’t be ordering from again.This review is generally honest and from the heart, I used to love this place the food was amazing, and the staff were absolutely friendly even down to the delivery driver, the little old lady that cried once when I gave her a big tip, however in recent months it has really gone downhill and this review is designed to tell you how I feel and will let you know the reason why I won’t be ordering from this restaurant again any time soon.I order from here quite often and on a regular basis as the food was absolutely amazing, and also as well was great value, although a little on the pricey side the portions were massive. However just recently I’m not sure if it’s a change to management or if it is something to do with the staff, but things have slowly started going downhill. The first time I noticed a change, was when I once ordered from there and they forgot my drinks order for my delivery. I phoned the restaurant and they didn’t answer the phone after about 15 tries they finally did and pretended that they didn’t hear me and hung up the phone. So I called back and said I would keep calling you until such times as you speak to me otherwise I’m going to come down to the restaurant directly and speak to you about my grievances, they then answered my call and proceeded to tell me that the drinks were on their way. An hour later the drinks were received after the meal. On the next occasion I ordered some food and they missed out some items again, and a similar thing happened where I called the restaurant and the staff were just rude over the phone. Saying I would have to wait for my order to come back out to me, and the final straw that really broke the camel‘s back, for want of a better phrase was when I ordered the food and as I placed the order it was accepted by the restaurant they took my money, and it kicked back from the system. It said my order was unexcepted I had to phone and asked why they’re taken my money even though they rejected my food order, and subsequently I was told I would have a refund given back to me and I would have to wait until the next day, but only when a driver became available to bring me cash, this happened, and rather than them given me a cash back into my bank account they gave me actual cash. Then, about an hour later a driver showed up asking for the cashback saying that the system had automatically kicked in for a refund and it would come back in the next couple of days.I was a bit dubious to hand it back but said to the driver if I don’t get the refund I will be contacting the bank as it is a fraudulent activity on your behalf. I have been waiting until that money has come in before I left this review in case the restaurant wanted to take and keep the money.I have now got that money back but why it took so long, and why there was so much fuss and to the point why my order was cancelled completely is anybody’s guess. I hope that if there is a new management in place....they go back to their old ways and start treating their customers as they used to, but also as well I hope if they do read this review they take heed and they actually think about the way they have been treating people over the last couple of months albeit I can appreciate they’ve probably been over run but hey that’s what you get when you start making yourself that popular.Maybe just maybe if things change I might just come back.For now South Grill I will be taking my money else where.......

First time at the South Grill after various takeaways locally and I must say that this is wonderful. If you have not explored the delights of charcoal expertise then make your way to a "Beyti Kebab" lamb as the first choice. Seabass you must be prepared will come with the head on however this excells in flavor. Great choice fab food . Order online for a discount ££££

Food is nice but slowly prepared, customer service is ok, can do with a Hello to customers once they walk through the door, don't just say 'what can I get you' ....

Ordered a delivery tonight and the food arrived on time but barely warm...I had food from South Grill many times before and had always been rather nice although they cannot cook lamb shish medium! it's always very well done no matter how many times you tell them you want it medium...Tonight the rice was overcooked and had no flavour; the lamb again was far too cooked and my wife's chicken totally tasteless. Shame because I use to enjoy the food from South Grill.

In the spirit of self isolation, we decided to order in rather than venture to our usual kebab van. In haste, we ordered before checking the reviews, most of which unfortunately were very accurate. Although our delivery arrived 10 minutes early, the contents were barely warm and some parts missing. The restaurant happily sent the driver back out with the missing parts but these unfortunately arrived once we had finished our meal. We were charged £33 for 3 kebab wraps and a portion of chips. The wraps were small and under filled and unfortunately swimming in oil. Very disappointing so will not be using them again.

I've always had excellent service and fantastic food. Traditional Turkish food that is full of flavour. I would happily eat from here every evening. Highly recommend.

Just received my delivery...Couldn’t be more disappointed.Literally paid £15 for one limp pitta with cold greasy lamb and chicken!No saladNo riceNo chilli sauce Cold floppy chips..For £15!!!I could eat out for that!!!Even more disappointing there was next to no chicken and the lamb was more fat than meat!Such a shame! Won’t be ordering ever again!

We've always used this takeaway... Not no more...!!. Was told at 7 o'clock.. Delivery will be 8:30.. We made a call at 8:45... Was given a load of jargon about it was being bagged up... Will be half hour...another phone call at 9:20 then was told the same thing... then they only had the front to give me attitude!. Food never turned up! Shocking customer service.

Absolutely dreadful. Rude, wrong order. Not interested in replacing it when phoned. Noticed on my way out, 2 star for hygiene. I never go if less than 4 star, so almost happy to bin it. Dreadful food, dreadfull workers/ staff.

Terrible - will never use again. £32 for a take away and the entire order was stone cold. Lamb ribs like nothing I’ve ever tasted - full of fat, couldn’t even get the meat off of the bone. Lamb shush also very fatty. Asked them to refund the ribs and collect them if they wish (if they thought there might be a chance that we actually ate them) they refused to refund for the ribs and said they would only re deliver a new lot - not ideal given we had already waited an hour for delivery and it’s gone 8.30 at night.

Have had the jumbo platter from here several times so much food 4 of us can’t eat it always hot with a good selection of food and sauces pittas and dips .enjoy

Always a great experience. The owner and the staff are always friendly and the food is top notch. I have made a presentation for them for an alarm system and I had the chance to go around the back of the shop and everything is spotless.

Having used this place since it opened today we placed an order the lamb donet were very salty and oily. Cold (and i walked in and got served) didnt get order right either and over priced 8 pound for mixed doner wrap. Stay away was awful

Not good! Small portions. My large kebab had same meat as the regular order. The chicken doner was more fat and skin than meat. It wasn't sliced so was quite chunky which meant it hadn't warmed through when they cooked it, so it was cold. They didn't even warm the pitta. Had to wait forever too while they did phone orders. Never again. Don't waste your money.

Guy behind the counter was rude to us and other staff infront of customers , food was very nice but expensive and that's without having to pay extra for salad (just onions + chillis) with a kebab, which I've never had to do anywhere else before !!!! £1.50 and the guy was blunt and rude about it. Wouldn't want to give them my custom again.

Phoned at 17:10 to be told our food was sitting on the side and they were waiting for a driver. 17:30 and still no food. I called and cancelled the order. Absolutely useless customer service. Ordered a lamb kebab only to break my tooth on a piece of metal!!! Thank God it wasn't my children eating it!! And lucky i didn't swallow it to rust inside my stomach!! stay away!! Lady on the phone was extremely rude!! I have the evidence and Will be reporting them!!!

Me and my friend came into your shop and have ordered a lot and been happy, we got to the bottom of our chips about 40 chips left and in the coner was a big black bug crispy and oily clearly fried along with the chips. This is very unhigenic and 100% unexceptable! Not impressed.

Ordered take away at 7 turned up 930 after ringing was told stuck in traffic a ten min journey takes 50 mins liars!! Have a 3 year old waiting for her meal if we was told over two hours we wouldn't of ordered but a hour was ok but meals turn up stone cold and the meat was full of fat no pittas and no bottle of Coke and the worst bit is I try and eat the salad and haloumi well a lovely bloody hair in it I could not believe it how disgusting we ring up to be told there's nothing they can do just send another meal out I said we want our money back they just laughed out phone down I paid £15 a meal just one big rip off our family night ruined I wouldn't feed this to my dog the place is a joke

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!! Messed up our last two orders and refused to reimburse me on the last one (even with the food I had paid for!!). Also charged £20 and realised once the delivery driver had left it came to £18. So basically paid £18 for one kebab that was cold on arrival and overcooked. Theres much better turkish kebabs in Billericay that actually deliver the correct order for the correct price.

Well where do I start?? First off we thought we would order a nice kebab only to stumble across this one. Boy do we regret it. Prices are London prices. £6.50 for donner meat and chips what wouldn't even fill up my 8 year old dayghter! Was so so small wish I took a picture! Forgot our sauce, we also paid £3.50 for cheesy chips what quite frankly had that small amount of cheese on and such a small portion for a large! Don't waste it money go elsewhere!!

Living close by, I dont have a problem with delivery, just a short walk away. This is a very good takeaway. The chicken shish is very good. Worth a try, if you live local.

Such a shame the delivery let it down as food was nice, took 2 over hours to deliver from ordering, called several times to chase up and didn't even get an apology, even when it eventually arrived my order was incomplete, as I had prepaid on 'just eat' was disappointed that my drink was not delivered and had to call them back again and wait another 45 minutes for my drink to arrive, will definitely not be ordering from them again.

Amazing food and great prices, very reasonable considering the quality of the food. The chicken shish is very flavourful and comes on a bed of amazing rice along with a pita! Make sure that you get a pot of the garlic and herb dip to finish it off perfectly. Definitely worth a visit

ordered from here a couple of times as food is lovely, however whenever the drivers came to deliver the food they never have any change, this is every time! and tonight we have been left waiting 2 hours for our delivery, called to enquire an hour and 20 mins in to see where it was and was told it was on its way, waited a further 30 mins and was told on the phone that the order hadn't even been cashed ( their wording ) asked what there solution would be and got hung up on, called back no answer. what a poor service, wouldn't even say sorry, and no offer of good will. terrible customer service

OMG! this is the best dinner kebab I've ever eaten by far and I wasn't even drunk lol, the lamb was proper chunks of meat really big portions and great value for money , the staff was very friendly and the place was very clean , I would drive from benfleet to south grill just for the there kebabs

bit pricey though, or, make the meat portions bigger for the doner kebabs. place always looks clean, nice to have the extra choice on your doorstep

Had the mixed platter tonight for tea. It was delicious and we scoffed the lot! Loads of different flavours, lovely sauces and dips, fresh pitta and that lovely thin bread with all the juices from the meat! Plenty for three, easily enough for four. Chicken, lamb, koftas, wings - really good. This is the third one we've had and they just get better. Tasty!

Chicken doner kebab was okay, but fairly greasy. However, paying £6.50 for four pieces of halloumi on a small bed of rice is just a joke. That was apparently a large kebab! Won't be using again, prices do not reflect quality, or portion sizes.
