The best restaurants in East of England

We have both dined in and had takeaways from this restaurant. And I have to say the food has always been excellent, the takeaways are always fresh and piping hot. The restaurant staff are both very professional and super friendly and the food is absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend the Polash to locals and visitors to the area you will not be disappointed. They have an excellent selection of regular dishes but also have a good selection of both vegan and vegetarian and also have gluten free options.

Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and steeped in nature. Rooms have everything required. Check in and out seamless. Staff efficient and welcoming. Good wine list and specials in restaurant. A special mention to the great care, attention to detail and respect given by Conor towards my daughter with special needs. Highly recommend.

We frequent the restaurant as a group and the owners are very welcoming and warm. The food is always good and I would highly recommend the place.

Absolutely love Kim's would never go anywhere else huge portions and incredible value for money! Been going for over 20 years and I will not stop! Lovely lady and lovely good quality food!

Been allowed to have the absolute experience for over 33 years now at this fantastic cafe It’s been about 2 years since I last visited and it was everything I expected and have expected I’ve the years I just wish I lived closer 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

i wish they would stick to their opening hours, went there today about 3.30 sorry we are closed had on the door closing time is advertised 4.30 this is not the first time, the family were dissapointed they had no pie and mash for tea, will think twice about going there again

Tried this newly reopened pub and found it to be pleasantly refurbished, the new owner and the staff were very welcoming. We tried 3 starters on their currently limited menu which were all delicious. Perfectly cooked, well presented and very tasty. I can honestly say the salt and pepper squid is one of the best I have ever tasted. We can't wait to try out their full menu once it is in place. Lovely atmosphere and highly recommended.

Absolutely disgusted in this place! You’re meant to help protect the community. I am a mum with 2 children 2 & under, who unfortunately got a machete pulled out on us as a teenage boy wanted to rob us! I tried to get cover in the shop but they put the shutters down on me! The shutters were still half way up as you was kicking a chair out the way! Which was caught on cctv and police agreed on this! Because you didn’t let me in my baby got injured due to this!. I do not recommend this fish and chip shop and I will be spreading the word & also you only accept cash & woman to work for you? That’s a bit odd also!

A proper traditional pub. Real ales and an open fire. Good welcome from the landlady.

Have had delicious salads and omlettes. In cooler weather will try cooked meals that also look great.

Great tea shop in lovely setting just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Cromer. Set in beautiful gardens with a boating pool for the kids. A real hidden gem

THE only place to go for a Date Night! Brill staff, fab menu (so much choice) and THE best food around! Huge portions... hubby had baby back ribs and there was nothing 'baby' about them! Fab chef too! Keep up the terrific work the team at The Manor!

Fabulous food great location very good friendly service. We have had many afternoon teas and games of mini golf here. Stopped here for breakfast today and had a delicious meal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Unexpected but delicious little cafe doing more than just feeding the vegans and vegetarians of Hertford. This delightful little shop prides itself on preparing and serving foods based upon their community allotment and local farms and it shows. Couples with the mission of providing meaningful training and employment for the disabled, it’s a winning combination.

What a wonderful surprise after 20 years of saying, “We must try that place”. Generous portions doesn’t really define the quality, flavours and variety that arrived before us. My wife had the chicken shish that had all the depth of flavours you would hope for in Greece or Turkey with the smokiness of the charcoal grill infused with herbs and lemon! 5 star shish. The BBQ Ephesus Special is a riot of meats - nothing short of cornucopia of flavours and textures all perfectly cooked. The mixed salad made the perfect accompaniment. This is a gem of a restaurant - do it!
