My local pub, as a lager drinker, I'm happy with Moretti, but it's really a real ale pub, with lots of variety. The pub has a nice garden and spotless toilets. The pub is dog friendly with free doggy snacks at the bar. I recommend this pub!

This is a wonderful pub where anyone is welcome to enjoy the best kept real ale in the area. All ages, friends and family enjoy this well run pub. The landlady has done a great job of modernising the pub paying respect to the last landlord. But it’s the beer that is excellent that I keep going back for. In sept there’s a very nice small beer festival in the garden. Thank you . Keep up the great work with the beer and hospitality.

Great local pub with a really friendly atmosphere. Friendly and knowledgeable bar staff. 3 different real ales every week ranging from light, medium to dark. Good selection of lagers and ciders too. Nice garden out the back and tables out the front too to catch the evening sunshine. I consider myself very lucky to have this wonderful little pub so close to where I live.

After recently relocating to the area with my girlfriend, we stopped by for a drink on a Friday after work and appreciated the pub's atmosphere. Since it was nearby, we planned to return the following Saturday. However, we were told we were unwelcome because I was wrongly accused of using drugs in the restroom. I assured the lady behind the bar that I had never done drugs and am not that kind of person, but she dismissed my explanation. She claimed she recognised me by company t-shirt was the reason for her assumptions, and that was her only basis for her decision, I’m a responsible respectful young man and I feel degraded and embarrassed by her ridiculous accusations.

We found this little gem by accident and we were delighted with it. It’s small, cosy and welcoming. The lady serving (possibly the landlady) was lovely and took time to talk to us, filling us in on the history of the place. It is steeped in character and is reminiscent of how good pubs “used to be”. Unfortunately you can’t get a full meal here but there are snack offerings (including free roasters on some days apparently). This is everything you could want in a local and I feel it could become one of our favourites.

Reasently taken over by Bev , who has served for sometime during Stuarts reign ...she has applied a bit of elbow grease to the establishment and is as always her charming self, a selection of draft beers plus the usual others are as was always the case in first class condition, she deserves to do well. john

After lunch here today with ourc17 month old grandson I was told there was no baby changing table in the toilets (it's advertised as a family friendly pub)so as a 68 year old grandmother I had to change my grandson on the FLOOR of the disabled toilet.I then disposed of his UNSOILED nappy(it was just wet) wrapped it over and place it in the flip lid bin in the toilet) The manager then came over to me and informed me in front of a FULL restaurant to remove the DIRTY nappy from the toilet bin and takecit home"We are a pub"we do jot have baby changing facilities"???.It was not dirty and I felt humiliated in front of the other diners.I shall not return.

Once seated we waited approximately 20 minutes and no one came to us during that time with a menu. We had to ask in the end. The starters were small and not particularly special. The main meals were disappointing too. We have been before and the service and food were very good, so on this occasion we felt very disappointed. Also the wine is overpriced. We ordered a bottle for £35 and it was average quality.
