As a family we had a really lovely Sunday lunch. Food was superb but the only disappoint was the roast beef was fatty. In fact after removing the fat there was very little meat left. Perhaps a different cut of beef may be more beneficial. Will certainly return!

One step up from a truckers stop. Car parking had to be sorted as people had parked all over the place and thoughtlessly. Food was ust about OK. The staff did the absolute minimum. It was very busy and couldn't hear anything for the noise. Deafening. Worst was the toilet. One ladies toilet is NOT sufficient. It didn't flush and was FULL. Disgusting. Won't return.

On holiday in England with our dog, our first stop was Swaffham Bulbeck. We arrived from the Stena Line, Harwich and had planned to have breakfast at the Jubilee Restaurant, Old Ipswich Rd in Ardleigh. We were too early, this roadside restaurant opens at 8:00 am!. So we waited a while and it was now starting to rain. The roadside restaurant opened indeed at 8:00 am. When we asked if a dog was welcome here, we were shouted from a distance: no just on the terrace. The terrace where there was no shelter from the rain. In the large empty roadside restaurant I saw a table near the exit, asked if we could take a seat here, no on the terrace, we were shouted, but I replied that it was raining. No answer. Then we looked for something with hospitality.

Wasn't sure when pulled into car park wether to enter( although restaurant recommended) . Decided to give it a try and wow so glad we did . 4 of us for lunch . Food was delicious, plentiful and very reasonable priced . Service also excellent . I had lasagne which was first class and as I didn't want the potatoes it came out with lovely large salad. Everyone rated their food most highly. Managed to share a desert which again were delicious . Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Will be back.

We took some family to eat at the cafe. The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite, we were aware of the long wait to get superb food as its is ‘not fast food, but good food served when ready and all of our guests commented on the excellent hot tasty food. However, they were a little taken aback by the ‘poor cleanliness and presentation of the cafe overall’. It could do with a deep clean as the lights above us had black cobwebs and the coke glasses have seen better days and need to be replaced. I am aware that it is a cafe, but it wouldn’t hurt for the entrance in particular to get an upgrade and tidied up, as well as an overall clean. Getting the cafe to the standard of their food, it would be amazing.

We visited on a Sunday morning for breakfast, there were only a handful of customers at tables so it was very quiet. There was a sign up saying there was no table service and you needed to go to the counter to order. A full breakfast, beans on toast and a couple of drinks was nearly £25!!! The quality of the produce being used appears to have slipped and having to order at the counter was very disappointing. I’m sure a local hotel/pub will do a great breakfast, with better quality ingredients and full table service and be cheaper. The Jubilee used to do really good food, but it seems to have slipped on the quality and sneaked the prices up! I appreciate they need to earn a living but not at the expense of quality. It’s a shame, as we loved it there as it was a very short drive from home. Not sure we will be visiting again in a hurry. Sorry!

Just left the cafe after being told that we can’t order two slices of toast to go with our £30 breakfast as it slows down the orders. We could not order the food we wanted. Which he really enjoyed, he would have perfered a couple more roast potatoes. A few of us had dessert and I would say they had good old fashioned cake and custard. Yes, I agree it is a little expensive, However, I believe its value for money and if you want Morrisons prices then go to Morrisons. Only complaint if you can call it that, No Hash Browns on the menu. I find this odd and would love to see it added.

We all agreed the meal was delicious and piping hot. We then had desserts of homemade crumble, sticky toffee pudding (which was the best I've ever had) and a lemon meringue ice cream cake -lovely. The place is always busy and you can see why and because of this you have to be prepared to wait as the food is prepared freshly for you. As most customers in the week at lunch time are like us pensioners - time is not a problem we just sat and had a chat. Always served with a smile and everyone works very hard. Friends of mine regularly eat breakfast here. I don't get up early enough for breakfast (although apparently I do as its served till well into the day) but when my friend suggested having lunch at the Jubilee I couldn't think of a reason not to. Now I cant think of a reason to go anywhere else! My friend had sausages and mash which, to be frank, you'd be hard pushed to beat in a restaurant paying twice the price with a generous serve of vegetables and onion gravy. I had the lasagne which came with a very generous serve of saute potatoes and a side salad. In some (usually more expensive) eateries, a side salad consists of a bit of lettuce,a salad tomato and maybe a small piece of rocket. At the Jubilee you get a proper side salad :). I wish we'd had room for dessert but we never stood a chance. I might even call in just for dessert sometime :) Also! The staff were brilliant, polite and friendly. Jubilee Café, you're going to be seeing a lot more of me :-)

Popped in after a visit to the dentists, hoping to grab some breakfast, but I was too late as it was 12pm. However, the lovely staff member did me a strong black coffee (very tasty, strong without being too bitter), offered me some toast and tried to cater to my gluten free diet, and later on returned with a packet of GF crisps as they had finished breakfast time. Very thoughtful service, and the sofas at the front of the shop are extremely comfortable, I did not want to leave.
