This is a family owned business that was an absolute delight to visit last week. The customer service was just out of ths world. Such good manners from everyone and honest conversation of a caring Nature. The food itself was brilliant. great taste and very reasonable on price. All the covid cleaning was perfect and this will be my go to must see everytime im in Southwold. Even the putting was so well managed. If you want to invest in a modern company this should be on the top of your list. 5 stars all the way. Kindest regards David. email tckct@outlook.com

In the current climate of COVID-19 it strikes me that this cafe seems to completely lack any regard for it's hygiene. On a hot day we decided to buy two 99 ice creams to my complete surprise the staff who had just served others (and was not wearing any protective equipment) then began to handle the cone, machine, and change before going to the tills, getting some change, walking back and then served the next couple in the exact same way. With no hand hygiene in between and directly coming into contact with food. Staff were also observed to both be using the till at the same time within close proximity. If they can't keep infection prevention in mind during a pandemic, it makes you think what is it like the rest of the time!

On holiday in Southwold literally just up the road from here so saw this little cafe the first day and vowed to return later in the week which we did. On Saturday when we saw it there was hardly a seat to be had it was that busy but today being a week day (Tuesday 17th) it was much quieter. A lovely place to play putting (?) or in our case watch other people! A small selection of sandwiches and cake and a choice of different ice creams. We went for the soup of the day which was either tomato or vegetable and came very nicely presented with a warm bread roll and a little dish of herby croutons. It looked lovely and tasted lovely, however the soup which had been described on the menu as "warm your cockles with a steaming bowl of soup" was lukewarm at best! To be fair we probably should have sent it back and if we hadn't have been so hungry we would have, just to ask them to heat it up as there was nothing else wrong with it at all. Anyway, relatively easy accessibility although a little bit bumpy in places along the edge of the green but would be fine for wheelchairs etc

We needed something warm and nice for lunch. We came, we saw and we ate. Bacon butties and coffee £5 each. Just fantastic. Served with sauces if you want. Nice place. Small. About ten seats inside. Lots outside. Good in bad weather. Better in good. Heaven in the midst of the storm.

The coffee and cakes area great but it is the friendliness of the staff and atmosphere here which I love. Sat and relaxed and watched people play pitch and putt which was nice and was then treated to the lovely voice of Paddy doing a bit of live singing. Apparently he does a couple of hours on Sundays. Worth going just for him. Comfortable chairs and sofas outside as well. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because the coffe cake wasn't good. Didn't taste of coffee and had something like raspberry puree poured over it that really didn't compliment the cake. First time in living memory I've left cake! The 18 hole course was as ever in tip top condition - and the weather conditions perfect. There was some consternation when Mark Almond produced his " flesh coloured ball " but his disreputable tactics were to no avail and despite the excellent play of his parter Linda - the Almonds eventually were hammered by the low scoring cool and confident Paynes. We only had tea - good-sized pots, served with milk in gorgeous miniature churns - I was dubious about their pouring ability, but they did a great job. However, I understand there are also sandwiches and cakes available. I spend hours at the putting green each summer watching my children and have said so many times in the past that I could kill for a cup of tea while doing so - clearly someone was listening! The chairs are comfortable too and I felt absolutely no pressure to vacate the table once the tea had been finished. (I also thoroughly recommend the homemade Wendy's fudge - we couldn't resist the chocolate orange and lemon cheesecake flavours. They are gorgeous!)

A superb spot to meet up with friends. We'd travelled from mid and South Suffolk, Southend, Tiptree, and near Chelmsford to meet up for the afternoon in Southwold, before moving further north for the evening. This was the perfect place for a welcome pot of tea and coffee, and a relaxing sit down outside in the sun, whilst watching numerous families enjoying a trip around the putting green. Non-drip teapots, charming milk churns, and beautifully blended coffee! The owners were very good hosts - friendly, informative, interested....even extending an invitation for us to stay and eat our picnic, with the offer plates too! Of course, this earned them a couple more orders!

It couldn't get more British - tea and cakes at the seaside in the glorious sunshine with the beach to one side and kids and granddads on the putting green to the other! Very clean cabin run by friendly staff bringing the drinks to the table. A couple of stalls selling fudge, jigsaws etc adding to the Britishness. Brilliant.

Fantastic little find opposite the pier. Kids played pitch and putt and the adults watched from the tables drinking tea and coffee. Lovely selection of ice creams, food looked very nice. Had a couple of stalls selling bracelets and home made fudge. A really nice hour spent on a sunny morning and the kids got a lolly at the end!

What a lovely cafe ran by 3 (I think) really nice mature guys. It is the sort of place you want to sit at comfortably for a couple of hours and people watch, with the sound of Mr Punch in the back ground whilst eating glorious cream teas with proper cream not squirty! They have a putting green with 18 holes which are laid out so close together I tied myself in knots but still never got the ball in the hole! The food looked good the coffee was great and theft had a Jazz Band playing called Cool Blue I think and they were quite old but he'll were they good. What a wonderful afternoon we had, putting scones, jazz and coffee, not what I expected at all. Thank you chaps

We have been here a couple of times, once for tea and cake and once just for ice cream. Lovely staff, cakes were really good and nice place to sit and watch people play on the putting green. Second time we just had ice cream but what gorgeous ice cream it was - salted caramel for me and strawberry for him indoors. Scrummy! If I have a tiny criticism it is that the area just behind the seating could be tidied up asthere are bricks and some garden clutter but that's me just being picky!

Enjoyed a quiet 5 minutes away from the busy pier and beaches in the sunshine. Served by a very friendly couple. Ice cream was delicious. We didn't have a meal or drink but there was plenty of choice and looked good.A perfect place to take a break in the afternoon sunshine.

The cafe has a putting green and although we didn't use this as it was raining, this is a nice place to stop off for a coffee. It's location is close to the pier. A very good coffee and friendly service which made us feel very welcome.

We had a family group of nine of us, including two wheelchairs and the two gentlemen who greeted us, made us feel so welcome. Tables and chairs were rearranged to accommodate the wheelchairs and so we could all sit round the same table for lunch. The same guys took our order, which was just sandwiches and drinks and everyone's food was brought out at the same time. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even to the point of getting my mum a squirt of Alo vera cream for her a bite she had got whilst walking. An then to cap it all, they gave us a group discount of 10% without asking for it. It was only lunch but they gave fantastic service and made us all feel welcome. Thank you

Came for quiz and love to support this local venue but it is very cold despite heating on. Heating is very noisy and so it was turned off during quiz. One door in and out would help as too many doors
