Popped in for breakfast and was greeted by a really really lovely team. Even lovelier food and drink - yummy bacon roll and a wonderful pot of tea! The best I’ve had in a while. Nice to watch the mini golf too, will be returning with my partner! Thanks folks!

Very kIndly opened early for group of 12. Excellent breakfast, great service, warm and friendly staff! Really made us feel welcome. Some other local establishments could learn from this.

Called in here for lunch on a visit to Southwold. Everyone was so friendly and the sandwiches we had were freshly made and really nice. The outdoor seating area is very spacious and it was lovely sitting out. We enjoyed it so much that after having a walk around the town and the sea front we ended up back for ice cream and tea. Really loved it will definitely be back on our next visit. Well worth five stars.

There were 15 of us, adults and children and it was cold and raining!! Tables and chairs were moved for us and we received such a warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We had coffees, teas, ice creams and snacks. Everything was delicious and we had generous pots of tea. Hugely recommend.

Came here for some breakfast on the last full day of our holiday after going previously for some coffees. Had four full English breakfasts which were lovely! Everything was cooked brilliantly and was a great sized portion for the price - having a tea/coffee included also was a great deal. Would definitely go again and was a lovely start to our final day in Southwold. Staff were all great and very attentive also - they obviously really care and put a lot of effort into the place. Thanks so much!

All I can say is this is the worse place I’ve have ever eaten in the world!!! Food was raw and I’m not talking not over cooked I mean the sausage was pink the bacon was warmed up raw,eggs where still runny mushrooms was raw all four of them the hash browns where nasty. Toast was toasted but still white and cold almost like it had just been slightly warmed up. 13.50 for a full English and I am not lying I’ve never been so sole destroyed paying 55 for breakfast for 4 and walked away with the plates full still. I feel sick from just taking tastes of it I did not want to judge it u til I tasted it!! I’ve had better breakfasts in Tesco cafe and that’s no lie. Tea and coffe was drinkable. I knew it was bad my husband will eat pretty much anything but even he left he’s 😳.

We went as a family of 5. First visit to this place. It’s a very nice place. Friendly staff. Food & drink made to order. Dog friendly. Mother in Law really enjoyed the salad dressing. Daughter enjoyed her berry go round smoothie.

Nice little cafe with very friendly staff, very nice coffee and ice cream, but very very stale cake, that was past it's best by at least a week. We did not complain as the staff were very busy and rushing around, so felt it unfair to make a fuss.

Arrived here on Sunday around 2pm, absolutely ravenous, there were plenty of available tables to choose from, we ordered 4 sausage and bacon rolls and 4 latte's. The food arrived very promptly and was absolutely delicious. Great little place, would highly recommend 👍🏻

Simple sandwich and cup of tea on a cold but sunny day. Lovely sandwiches, well presented with dressed salad and a few crisps with the best loose leaf tea I've had out in a long time. What a great place efficiently run with fresh and tasty food and friendly Staff. Thankyou.

A very convenient position, out of the wind, offering a good variety of home made type food, all very tasty, plus a good place for people to take their dogs.

Super place to watch the pitch & putters whilst having a coffee or lunch. This year we opted for lunch, Tuna sandwich superb as was my friend's pannini. Quality coffee, situated back from the seafront, so out of the wind.

Always visit this cafe when on holiday in the area, Few inside seats, but mainly outside this year, some under canopy. Very friendly staff. Was very clean and full covid regulations in place.

We sat out under the canopy beside the putting green. It was really relaxing watching the world go by. The staff were friendly the service was fast and the food was good. Well worth a visit.

It was a warm day, with a gentle breeze, and we fancied just an ice cream. So decided to sit on the open terrace, and watch the putting too. We both opted for the vanilla ice cream....... certainly had the wow factor. Very friendly.

Good coffee, but it took over 20 minutes to actually get the coffee. I would not go back, there were plentiful other choices.

Popped here for an ice cream yesterday and the manager was really friendly and accommodating for our group of 8. The only negative was one of the staff that served and brought food to our table was a bit rude!!

Called in hear this morning and turned us away becos they don’t open for 15 min so 3 of us now looking for somewhere else to spend our hard earned money Wast of time and poor management would have been happy to sit and wait but was pushed out of the gate will not recommend or try again

In the current climate of COVID-19 it strikes me that this cafe seems to completely lack any regard for it's hygiene. On a hot day we decided to buy two 99 ice creams to my complete surprise the staff who had just served others (and was not wearing any protective equipment) then began to handle the cone, machine, and change before going to the tills, getting some change, walking back and then served the next couple in the exact same way. With no hand hygiene in between and directly coming into contact with food. Staff were also observed to both be using the till at the same time within close proximity.If they can't keep infection prevention in mind during a pandemic, it makes you think what is it like the rest of the time!

Took our group of senior ladies there. Enjoyed a round of putting followed by tea and cake. The weather was a bit chilly and we were accommodated inside for our tea. Made to feel most welcome by the owner and staff. We will go again. Thoroughly recommend.

On holiday in Southwold literally just up the road from here so saw this little cafe the first day and vowed to return later in the week which we did. On Saturday when we saw it there was hardly a seat to be had it was that busy but today being a week day (Tuesday 17th) it was much quieter. A lovely place to play putting (?) or in our case watch other people! A small selection of sandwiches and cake and a choice of different ice creams. We went for the soup of the day which was either tomato or vegetable and came very nicely presented with a warm bread roll and a little dish of herby croutons. It looked lovely and tasted lovely, however the soup which had been described on the menu as "warm your cockles with a steaming bowl of soup" was lukewarm at best! To be fair we probably should have sent it back and if we hadn't have been so hungry we would have, just to ask them to heat it up as there was nothing else wrong with it at all. Anyway, relatively easy accessibility although a little bit bumpy in places along the edge of the green but would be fine for wheelchairs etc

Much better than it looks from the outside, excellent cuppa and bacon bap. Seating inside and a warm welcome then, when the rain stops, have a go at the putting green.

Passed this many times but it was only after reading the write ups we thought to visit - it’s only across the road from the pier but light years away from the cafe there. Large portions, healthy options or just coffee and ice cream.

It was raining. Hard. We needed shelter away from the high prices on the pier and the crowds. And the wind and rain. Now. We didn't want to play golf (though that looked nice). We needed something warm and nice for lunch. We came, we saw and we ate. Bacon butties and coffee £5 each. Just fantastic. Served with sauces if you want. Nice place. Small. About ten seats inside. Lots outside. Good in bad weather. Better in good. Heaven in the midst of the storm.

We tried this lovely cafe a few years ago on one of our regular visits to Southwold and now it is a "must-visit" place everytime. Although they may close over the winter months - I can't remember!! The coffee and cakes area great but it is the friendliness of the staff and atmosphere here which I love. If you want to relax in the sun and not pay the higher prices that are charged on the pier then I would recommend you try it. You can even play on the putting green for a small fee.

Called in with Children for an ice cream. Not very friendly, but possibly just the one person that served us - not a great impression!

Absolutely brilliant. Took me back to my childhood. There was always a lovely little cafe like this at the beach. Real touch of nostalgia

It's nice to stop off here for a relaxing cuppa. Sit and watch those putting around the green; it can sometimes be quite amusing. I have played badly before, so I guess others have been amused too.

As soon as i walked through the door i was greeted with a friendly and warm welcome, they lady and gent were super friendly and even carried my drinks to the table, the pricing is right and dont over charge you like some of these other cafes. Outside or inside seating so have a good choice and also good choice on the menu. This place is also within walking distance of all essential attractions southwold has to offer

It was our first visit. We were going to go on the pier but it looked far too busy. We saw this little café and thought we would try it. So glad we did.

I took my partially sighted friend Johann for a game of golf on the putting green and as you can imagine it took quite some time to finish the game.

We arrived in Southwold for our yearly week away and came straight to the Cafe on the Green for lunch, the outdoor seating is very nice and there was plentyof umbrellas for those preferring some shade. We ordered our food and it was brought out speedy and efficiently, even with all our special requests. There were alot of wasps but that is to be expected in the nice warm weather, the staff were very attentive though and cleared away plates straight away to try to stop the wasps from coming. Lovely big pots of tea!

Went here for a quick cuppa at about 3pm and was really pleased to get good quality piping hot tea. Sat and relaxed and watched people play pitch and putt which was nice and was then treated to the lovely voice of Paddy doing a bit of live singing. Apparently he does a couple of hours on Sundays. Worth going just for him. Comfortable chairs and sofas outside as well. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because the coffe cake wasn't good. Didn't taste of coffee and had something like raspberry puree poured over it that really didn't compliment the cake. First time in living memory I've left cake! Especially coffee cake which is may fav.

What lovely surroundings to sit and eat lunch in, very pretty. We only had sandwiches and cakes here after trekking along the beach from Kessingland so were pretty hungry and thirsty. The sandwiches were very nice but I wish they wouldn't cut the crusts off!!! They weren't half as filling as they should've been. Still a lovely little place though.

Definately worth a visit. Friendly staff, excellent location (directly opposite the pier) and a little round of mini golf finished off with an excellent selection of ice creams or a cream tea. What are you waiting for, visit when you get the chance. We do everytime we visit Southwold and have been back at least 15 times, and counting.

There were 5 of us that came to this Cafe especially to have refreshments and then play on the putting green which is great. There is plenty of seating under canopies outside. It is a lovely peaceful place to relax just opposite the pier. The staff are really friendly.

They serve a reasonable coffee, and while you are here you can watch the putting on the green. Friendly place for a nice cuppa!

It was at the end of our walk and handy place to stop and recharge with a cup of tea. Good service lovely china teapots and cups and saucers. Lovely gardens to look at.

What a wonderful find this place was. We visited a couple of times during our holiday in the summer. On both occasions we were all made to feel very welcome, including our dog. Both service and food are brilliant. Everything is very clean and organised. On the second occasion they had a very large group there and still service was very good. This place is a credit to the people who run it.

This is the best place for ice cream tea coffee and shmoo milkshake. They do cream teas too and not too expensive. A 18 hole putting green too. We had our dog too who was made to feel very welcome. Delicious choices of ice cream and a Mr whippy too. Yummy definately recommend for old and you g could singles and families. Thank you.

Fridge cake was very good, as was the Victoria sponge. Good coffee and reasonably priced coke. Pleasant surroundings.

Visited for a mid-morning drink. Food great value for money. Good place if you have children to entertain, as you can sit with a cup of tea whilst watching them play on the putting green. Kind and prompt service. Definitely worth a visit - calmer and more peaceful than the pier!

Stopped here twice during our week in Southwold. Once for coffees and another time for cream teas. The scones (which were warm) were delicious - as good as home made - and large and both jam and clotted cream were plentiful. Food on other tables (sandwiches etc) looked very tasty too. The added bonus is that you can enjoy the sunshine but in the shade as there are large canopies you can sit under (also handy if it rains) Naturally, we also came back for a round of putting which is fun.

We had a lovely ice cream here the first time we visited, then the following day asked if they did sandwiches. We ate outside next to the putting green on one of the tables and both the food and the service were excellent. I had a Stilton ploughmans which came with a very generous amount of cheese, warm rolls, chutney and lots of very fresh salad. My husband had the special which was a chicken, bacon and salad sandwich in lovely fresh bread, a very decent salad and some Pringles. Our daughter had a child's tuna salad - half portion of fresh bread, salad and Pringles which she enjoyed, The tea and coffee were also excellent. We came back later for another ice cream!

The cafe has lovely ice creams and friendly staff. Little ones are entertained by watching the putting green or having a go themselves. Plenty of comfortable outdoor seating.

With the sun shining and a lovely warm breeze from the beach, my wife, son and I played a round of 18 holes. Before we started there was a good range of putters to choose from as well as many coloured gold balls too. After our game we sat down and ordered some sandwiches: tuna mayonnaise; and bacon, chicken, tomato and lettuce. Overall, lovely venue for putting and delightful sandwiches.

Fabulous green for putting. Great friendly welcome. Tea and coffee with cake. What more can you ask for? This little business deserves every success. Already half way there wonderful proprietors.

After a 18 hole round of pitch and putt with 5 giggly ladies we went into this cafe which was right in the edge of the putting green where we sat for mid afternoon tea/coffee,scones and ice cream.Service was very good, all drinks were hot and scones were large and yummy.

We popped in here looking for a quick cuppa and a comfy seat and what a lovely place. Friendly staff, great food and tea in such a lovely setting. A real sun trap away from the crowds watching the fun of pitch and putt. This place is just perfect and we will make this our regular stop every time now and have a quick game too! A great place to visit!

We had lunch here on a sunny Saturday in May, it was very pleasant sitting outside the in the sunshine.The menu is relatively simple, mainly sandwiches and cakes. However the quality and presentation of the sandwiches was excellent. We ate as group of 4 adults, each having a sandwich, a cake and a couple of drinks each. The price was very reasonable at around £12 per head.We will definitely return again when next in Southwold on a sunny day!

This little place looks very inviting as it looks so clean and fresh. The staff are very friendly too. We only had hot drinks but sat on the comfy seats out of the wind and it turned out to be a real sun trap. If it gets chilly there are blankets available to cover you up- what a great idea! There is also a putting green on site too!

Visited at least once day whilst in Southwold. Best Latte I've had for a long time. Brilliant putting green which some members of the family enjoyed while the rest of us chilled enjoying high quality food and ice cream even the dog had a bonio. We wish them every success for the summer season.

Popped in here for tea and cake. Friendly staff and nicely presented tea and good tasty cake. Papers on hand and local books to read. Crazy golf also here for adults and children. Very pleasant little cafe.

Here on a nice sunny day although a little windy so please with the sheltered area.Coffee & tea were good tea cakes etc. Also temping.Good parking nearby next to the pier, only a couple of tables inside so not really any good for a rainy day.

Very convenient location for the beach huts. The café is situated right opposite the pier. We purchased ice creams a number of times from their little window. They offer soft whipped ice creams (99s) and also scoop ice creams.We were disappointed with the offerings at the pier and were glad we tried this place.

The pier was very crowded on a very hot September day but just across the road there was ample shaded seating at this nice little cafe. Coffee and cake was good and the young staff were cheerful and efficient. No credit cards.

A bit of a hidden gem this one, opposite the pier and through the hedge you will find the golf putting green and Cafe on the Green. Perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon with a cup of tea or coffee and a decent sandwich. The day I visited, it was lovely and warm and sunny, so chose an ice cream and sat soaking-up the sunshine and listening to a very pleasant jazz group that was playing in front of the cafe.

i have visited many cafes and this one wasn't one of the best. i thought the prices were very expensive, £6 for a sandwich isn't what im used to paying. i ordered a pot of tea a cappuchino and 2 cheese scones. the capuccino wasn't very nice and appeares to tast like it came from a packet. the scone were served warm which was nice but they didn't taste very cheesy the only saving grace was the tea which was leaf tea and very nice to drink

Called in this afternoon for a quick coffee and a piece of cake. Settled on the caramel apple cake with a nice coffee.

Rounded off a game of putting here with some hot and cold drinks which were reasonably priced. It was lovely to sit under the sunshades and cool off a bit while we totalled up our scores.
