The best restaurants in East Midlands

We had an emergency bread shortage when I needed lunch in a hurry before an important appointment so nipped in and they freshly made up a turkey sub for me. It was just £3 and stuffed with lovely fresh salad too.

Lovely friendly staff. Drink prices are good, there is a pool table and a jukebox and always a warm welcome. Look forward to returning soon. 😀

I came into subway Applegreen today wanting 13 foot long subs thinking that would be a problem. And then turning me away , but no the lovely staff there done them for me , the service was fast and outstanding very professional well done I will be back. The lads love the sandwich’s and we also got a free box of cookies thank you

Quirky little tea room/coffee shop offering something different in one corner of the Market Place. The clue is in the name - the menu is Austrian-themed and run by two friends who serve home-made treats and make most of the crafts which are for sale in the shop. Their goulash soup with bratwurst is a steal at under £3, and makes a hearty lunch, while sweet items include stollen or apple strudel and cream for a mere £1.40. The cafe also offers gluten, sugar and dairy-free products - plus a range of healthy treats for dogs, including doggy beer! Service was on the slow side, but very charming!

We love the coffee and bacon rolls! The lattes are the best in town, get a large and it comes in a lovely large mug. What a little gem inside Wellingborough garden centre

Hid in the cellar all through lockdown, A real shame when the police turned up. I'd have gone another week.

Park in Dinky Dino's and go left around the building and you will see DK's cafe. Small well laid out "old fashioned type" cafe, no fancy frills here with staff that were welcoming and friendly. Small menu with a specials board, big breakfast was tasty and great value.

A hidden gem! Lovely team, relaxed atmosphere. Good value and has great deli choices… from sweets to cakes.. pasta.. dog treats; all sorts!

Wanted t try this lace out, looked interesting, given its name, was not disappointed. Good food to eat, lots of options from various countries, all with a eastern taste..

Would really recommend who likes to try Lithuanian traditional and not traditional food. Great prices too:-)

Visiting Derby Feed Me for the first time we weren’t disappointed. Welcoming staff in friendly atmosphere. Burgers and fries were delicious and the generous portions were excellent value for money! Would go back tomorrow!
