Excellent quality as always and good job on the Naan

Tried to book in for a group of about 15. I asked if we could have the menú del dia offer at £18.50. Really looking forward to it as we came last year as a department and I also came recently with my sister. Loved the atmosphere, loved the food, great service... I even did a post on Instagram and shared it with local pages. So I thought it would be a perfect place for another works meal. The first message I got was "we suggest you order from our party menu". The party menu is quite limited. And it costs £29.95! They also asked for a £10 deposit (i do understand this). Myself and my colleagues just wanted a nice get together, we didn't want to pay £30 each + service charge. They told me menu del dia is for up to 7 people. This is not mentioned anywhere. I said I'm happy to split the tables. Maybe 2/3 tables. They responded saying that we would slow down the service for other customers making out we would be a huge inconvenience. They did everything they could to not book us in. Everything was an issue. They also said if you split tables, the food wouldn't come out at the same time and it would be 80 dishes to serve. Well it wouldn't be because it's 14 people,not 20 (they didn't get back to me regarding final numbers). I said we could split tables and said we really don't mind that food would be sent out at different times as it is a tapas restaurant. I've had no reply for 5 days. They don't want groups unless you pay £30 each. They can't force people to have the £30 menu. I was even going to say I could pre order everything. They decided to serve tapas but make it a huge inconvenience if you try and book. The same thing happened to another head of department who tried to book a few years ago. Do not book here if there are more than 7 of you. A huge shame as my department loved this place. I will never go again. We have gone elsewhere.

Every visit has been a pleasure

Another fantastic meal last night. 24/04/25. A table for 8, Absolutely delicious tasty meals, great selection and everything prepared fresh to order even their most delicious homemade chips. Really friendly staff, they can't do enough for you. You must visit. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the portion sizes were really good.. Thank you all. Also great for delivery. Nigel, family and friends.

Clean, nice quality, comfy, child friendly. Good customer service. App good. Didn't feel rushed. Nice decor. Bit pricey but worth every penny.

We came as a party of 10. The service was slow, I had to keep getting the attention of staff, unlike other customers, they were very attentive to. The waitress was speaking far too fast that nobody could understand what she was saying. Most of the food was good but, some steaks were extremely fatty but the taste was nice. A sizzling dish was inedible. The portion sizes were small for the price. Missing vine ripened roast tomatoes on all dishes. The toilets were grotty, both male and female. No baby changing facilities. I need not say anymore and we clearly will not be returning customers. Very disappointed as a it was out daughters birthday meal.

It had a nice atmosphere, very generous portions and the calamari was lovely. However, the pasta and risotto dishes were very average. Something I would cook for a Wednesday tea. The risotto required lots of seasoning as it was virtually tasteless. It was also incredibly expensive for what it was. Our bill came to £146 for 2 starters, 4 mains, a side dish and 4 drinks (3 of which were soft) my glass of wine was £9.50. Seems pretty extortionate to me. The staff were fine but some seemed a little fed up. Food was served quickly and was nice and hot. So an average experience all round. Prob won't go back again.

Super meal. They were extremely busy but service was excellent, as was the food. Never disappoints and we will keep going back!

Excellent as always would recommend for eat in no tried takeaway service

This review has replaced my last 4 star review which was deducted a star due to the cold temperature inside the pub, no heating on in the middle of winter and had to leave our coats on while eating but the food was ok, on further reflection it should have been 3 stars. Visited 29/04/25 around 5pm, lovely day so we sat outside, not too busy and the staff were very friendly and efficient, we ordered 2 open steak sandwiches with gorgonzola sauce with fries and a mini fish, chips and peas, food came out relatively quickly but unfortunately the steak was very fatty and chewy and quite pink (we didn't specify how well done we wanted the steak so that was not the issue)it was barely edible due to being so tough, my dad's dog enjoyed it though. The fries were ok, fish chips and peas were average but acceptable for the price. Would visit again for drinks only as it is in a lovely spot to sit outside when the sun is out.
