AWFUL. SERVICE ... CARVERY NOT VERY WARM. OTHER FOOD BURNT... SLOW MOSTLY UNAVAILABLE STAFF... PAYMENT OF MEALS WAS A MESS, NO RECEIPTS GIVEN. LACK OF ANY FORM OF CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE STAFF. IF YOU FIND ANYONE. A REVIEW BY ANOTHER GUEST WAS ENTERED HERE, BUT APPEARS TO HAVE DISAPPEARED
I was quite disappointed with the food I received from Uber Eats. Upon tasting it, I found it to be excessively salty and not representative of what I expected from biryani. I contacted the restaurant to express my concerns, and they offered a complimentary meal for my next order. However, I explained that I needed a resolution for my current meal. The receptionist mentioned she would escalate my call to the manager and chef, but unfortunately, I was put on hold and the call was disconnected. This experience has left me feeling very dissatisfied with the quality of the food.
Pub has changed hands during lockdown. First time back since lock down. Menu was very disappointing. Food was awful. Haddock and chips was only just that. A lot of batter and not much fish. Very dry, tasteless and not worth the price charged. Without the chips it would have been a complete disaster. My wife left some of her lasagne dish. She was not impressed. The service was so desperately slow we were tempted to just walk out and not bother. Truly got fed up of waiting. Considering how hospitality has suffered during Covid, this was not a good experience. My £30 would have been better spent elsewhere?
The beer garden could do with a strimmer and mower for a good effect outdoor eating experience. As a local villager, won't be doing it again anytime soon.
My mum and dad are receiving meals delivered by “take a break”. I can’t speak highly enough and thank them for what they offer.
Obliging and caring. Delivered hot and the previous crockery picked up.
My mum is used to cooking meals but she says how tasty and delicious their food is. Very important when you are not on your best form.
The meals have fresh vegetables and certainly are a generous plate full.
All the meals go down well.
Thank you to the team and keep up this important service.
We went for take away and really enjoyed our meal. I'm not Cealiac but am wheat intolerant. I was prepared just to have chips, but the owner was very kind and cooked me a beautiful pan fried piece of fish in olive oil. It was absolutely delicious! The chips were also not greasy, and were also very, very tasty. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be going back. The owner was very welcoming too.
Nice cafe inside a large charity warehouse called The Hanger just outside of Alfreton on a small retail park. The cakes looked homemade and were very nice.
Along with my two, little, boys I took the experience flight out over Rutland water. We live in Market Harbourough and our-terrifyingly young but immensely competent and professional-pilot flew over my house, the boys mum’s house and both their grandparents’ houses before nipping out to the reservoir pointing out interesting views along the way.
I hadn’t considered beforehand that I would take the yoke but the boys LOVED that I was flying us all for a while!
The 45 minute flight was worth every penny and everyone we came into contact with at the clubhouse was friendly & welcoming. Great cheesy chips too!
Cannot recommend highly enough!
Took the whole family as only just moved into new house , so no kitchen yet , wow awesome pizza , atmos & great service . Bit pricey for everyday but it will be our go to pizza treat from now on
A lovely cafe and restaurant we had breakfast there it was very nice and friendlystaff including tea/coffee and a good price just under £11-50 for 2 people premier inn £9-50 each and ours is cooked to order .
We had dinner here one quiet weekday evening. We had a very nice 3 course nice meal chosen from an extensive menu. The helpings were just of the right size for us (as pensioners), the food was tasty and served hot. The waitress was really polite, helpful and pleasant. The restaurant is located in a rectangular room well away from the bar areas, not particularly intimate but restful (I think it doubles up as a function room). There is a decent sized free car park at the rear of the pub (access is from a side road, not directly from the main road through Sleaford). Price wise, it was very reasonable. We would happily eat here again.
