Not the best place to have something to eat, unhygienic for a start, there is a dog in food prep areas which if health & safety got involved they'd be told thst that isn't allowed, how can having a yappy dog running round a boat where food is being prepped ok...the fella smokes, totally off putting, it's probably not legit and run under the radar, cheapest ingredients used as well, id give it a minus 10.
Went with friends yesterday first time ever and the bar man seemed angry/didn't want to serve us. It wasn't busy so we joined 2 tables together then bar guy split them up and asked all 3 of us to sit in one table, he was rude, arrogant and not nice. Ruined the mood and our catch up, consider more better staff next time with better customer service skills. Live jazz music was nice in backgeound and security guard was lovely but that's it. Drinks weren't all that, which was a shame.
Small coffee shop. Quite cramped with little room between tables. Busy when we went. Table from previous customer was cleared fairky quickly and given a rather cursory wipe over. Order at counter. Good selection of hot and cold sandwich fillings. Service slow and one of our 3 peoples order arrived several minutes after the first two. One of us had toasted sandwich and two ciabatta which all came with side salad and crisps. Good portion sizes although the salad was mainly shredded lettuce. No evidence of a toilet. Wouid probably go again if in West Bridgford.
A fantastic little place, so cosy, beautiful decor.
The staff were so friendly.
I tried to order the pancakes, they said 'I'm afraid they're on the breakfast menu, that stops at 1200', when I asked could they please be done for me, they were, no problem.
REALLY appreciated it.
Well done & thank you.
Picked up a large order of breakfast rolls all different sorts and cooked fresh then. Everyone enjoyed them and have been back personally myself since.
After reading the reviews here we must have called on a nightmare day...ordered soup, it arrived lukewarm and spilling over dish. Asked for it to be reheated, came back slightly warmer but with very greasy croutons, completely inedible.
First time I've ever felt the need to up sticks and leave a cafe without paying.
I voted for cod’s scallops to be best in Britain Jamie’s Chipy has come in my view a close second very good amounts of food for the money. If you have never been well worth the trip out.
Great atmosphere friendly staff cheap prices . Good food steak night Thursdays . And if you want a function take a look upstairs great function room. Ample parking opposite in the square
Nigel, el dueño, es un excelente y amigable, que está acompañada de amable, educado y servicial. El pub en sí es un gran pequeño lugar que sirve cervezas bien cuidados.
Excellent breakfast. Very good service with very friendly efficient staff. The cakes looked delicious. Coffee best I have had in a while. Just love it. Great value for money as well. 🍰🧁🥓🍳⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This restaurant was recommended to us recently and I am so pleased that it was. We've had several takeaways from Caribbean Flava now and each time the food is so tasty and fresh.
They do seem to sell out of some items quite early, so I guess ordering ahead of time is always recommended.
So far we've had a very flavoursome curry mutton, the jerk chicken which are served with steamed veggies and rice and peas. Their festivals are also so good!
Such friendly service, proper Jamaican food and good value for money. Highly recommended.
