Thank you to Coghlans for our superb day creating sweet treats! We booked a family afternoon tea course with Masterchef Simon and he was the perfect tutor, keeping us engaged and teaching us some new skills. Simon taught us how to make macarons which were much more simple than expected!! We also had a mini chocolate skills demonstration from Simon which was very impressive, the chocolate course would be my choice on the next visit!! Thanks again and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Wow! What a most amazing day. This place is a little gem set in the very pretty grounds of Stancliffe Hall. I thought I was a decent cook until I got here! Our tutor and Chef (Masterchef!), Simon was excellent and organised our chaotic family so well. We made afternoon tea including macarons which I was sure would fail as they always do! They turned out absolutely perfect with the masterful guidance of our Chef, as did everything else! The 'school' itself is so well laid out and so clean with all mod cons! Hubs isn't very happy though, since returning home, I want a new kitchen with new appliances. Thank you, Coghlans and special thanks to our tutor Chef Simon for a most enjoyable experience. Can not wait to visit again!

Received the knife skills course as a Christmas present and honestly it was worth every penny - Simon was clear, informative, dealt with a vege coeliac badly hacking through everything in front of them with a great deal of patience, skill and good humour and my neighbour is currently loving me for the extra food I brought home. In all seriousness, everyone there was professional and friendly, made sure all us rank amateurs had a good time without feeling overwhelmed and it was an excellent learning experience - it's not just going through the different types of knives and their uses but all the extra information about the 'why' of cooking that Simon has and generously shared. Thank you, I genuinely loved every second of it and really felt that I learned a lot which will be useful everyday - not something you can say about a lot of courses.

Six of us (four from NZ) had a wonderful day making pork pies and sausages to celebrate my husband's fiftieth birthday. Simon is an excellent tutor, witty and engaging, attentive without being overbearing. We all came away with excellent goodies that tasted amazing. Lisa and Pauline were great at organising the event for us, including a little birthday cake. Can highly recommend. We would make this a regular day out if we lived closer.

Wow! what a great evening. The kitchen demo from the talented [and witty] Simon was so informative and the four course menu which followed, each course paired with wonderful wines, was an absolute delight. The highlight of the meal was the very rich but totally delicious zuccotto dessert served with a shot of limoncello liqueur. The staff are so friendly and welcoming which added to the enjoyment of the whole experience.

What a fantastic experience! Simon managed to instruct all 21 of us to produce a lovely 3 course meal. Everything was to such a high standard, the cooking utensils, cleanliness, staff, atmosphere! Simon was so good and helped to create a professional but fun experience. We will all re-create these at home I'm sure and will definitely look at booking for other events in the future and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a slightly different experience for a party.

What a great experience!! Simon is a fab instructor and did so well keeping a chatty / hungover group engage. We managed to produce a really yummy three course meal which we ate on site. Meals were adapted for us vegetarians and nut allergy persons. The food could be easily re produced at home and we all learnt new skills whilst having a really good time.

Nice experience but totally disappointed to have booked through their genuine website and then find that most people had booked through groupon and paid half the price. How can you trust the real website?

We had a lovely afternoon at Stancliffe Hall. The building and grounds are beautiful. We had a lovely tour around, a glass of fizz, a chocolate demonstration and then a sumptuous afternoon tea. We all enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning in the near future.

We had a tour of the house with the owner Brian, then a chocolate demonstration followed by an excellent afternoon tea. There was twenty eight people in our group who all enjoyed it. Well worth the £17.50.
