There were 2 guys serving. I asked for hot chocolates, one cool because of my little one with me. Not a problem. We sat down. The guys swept up and other children in the room wanted to help and he let them. Absolutely brilliant. The lady sitting next to us was not happy with children and my little one left without being able to gather a smile. Tears. Before I could get to the door, the other staff member checked to see if we were alright. I have not seen such hospitality in the hospitality sector for a long time. Really impressed and thank you guys! Shall definitely feel comfortable coming again with my little one.
Visited for drinks & dinner on a Saturday evening. We booked the sofa & enjoyed a very lovely, relaxed evening.
Nice selection of beers.
Food was super tasty, we went for a selection of small plates & a pinsas, everything had amazing flavours and a fab variety.
Pricing is really reasonable too.
Great service and friendly staff.
Fab atmosphere & live music in the main area.
Recommend for a lovely, chilled evening & great food.
With summer finally here I was tempted by the menu in the window of Nocturne. Affogato was just what I hadn't realised I was looking for. And when it came it was just delightful with a wonderful balance between the flavours of espresso and ice cream, and set off by a generous dusting of chocolate and a couple of coffee beans.
A relaxing break with classical music in this tiny gem of a cafe in upper Buxton, almost opposite famous second-hand bookshop Scriveners. I can't wait for my next visit.
To start with the food was very good. It was not what I ordered but was good. It is also a good price. Well it would have been if they charged me right. 4 sandwiches and a coffee £21. I asked for this to written down and the girl wrote £21 on the back of the ticket. I tried to explain I wanted a breakdown but got a piece of paper with a calculation on it that Einstein couldn't compute. I think I'm about £4 out of pocket. I would recommend the food but the staff need a lot of training
I was bought an afternoon tea for my birthday and what a wonderful present. Lovely warm and friendly greeting. A good variety of savoury and sweet food. Everything was fresh and the cakes were truly delicious. Very impressed with the service too. will definitely be going back.
Love this place and the people who work here.
Whenever I’m in the area I always make time to pop in for breakfast or a coffee.
I cannot think of anywhere better in the area if you want good quality food and drink.
Whenever we come to "The cafe in Loughborough, we always pop in for some breakfast. This is a lovely little cafe with great staff. The food is always brilliant and we always have left satisfied. Would recommend this cafe.
Love this place and since discovering, have been quite a few times. Always a great selection of freshly made food and cakes at really good prices, plus the little farm shop where you can lots of goodies to take home. Delicious food and welcoming staff.
Undercover outdoor barn area for seating so just need to wrap up warm when it's chilly - but all adds to the experience.
Top marks for lovely coffee, super range of delicious, gluten free cakes, great service and cosy, comfy environment today. All at a reasonable price. Delighted!

Very disappointed with our breakfast. Me and family had sausage baguettes and the baguettes were burnt to a crisp and there was only 1 sausage in the whole of the baguette which didnt even taste like sausage! It tasted horrible and poor quality.
Was awful and was soon binned. Such a shame. Wouldnt recommend.
I saw this on Trip Advisor and thought that Polish food sounded interesting! It is now called ‘The Folk House’ and the food was great with large, hearty potions and a friendly welcome. Recommended.
