tasty Plaice in Derby

This is the 3rd visit to this concession in Derbion. Twice now I've had Fish Chips and Mushy peas. Each time has been brilliant. Superbly cooked chips, crisp batter on the fish, but I get too full to finnish the meal. So this time I opted for chips and mushy peas. I approached with trepidation, expecting this visit to be the one where it didn't meet previous trips. I was so wrong. The food was piping hot, tasty exactly the same. Crispy chips, fluffy on the inside and the same, velvety hot mushy peas. Absolutely brilliant. Yes I will be visiting again.

Ordered a takeaway for the first time yesterday and these are the nicest chips I have EVER had. The Spam, Fritter was a bit greasy and it had pink bits in so I left some of that. Would definitely use again but not for a Spam Fritter.

Honestly we visit Tasty Plaice all the time now, whether in person or ordering. You get an amazing amount of food for the money and, yes the chips are batter coated - which just makes them all the more delish for us! We've never had any less than wonderful service, with brilliant communication for deliveries and kind service in person! This is the only place we'll order from and visit now. Great job guys!

I visited here and ordered the doner meat chips and salad. The chips were absolutely stunning, however they're cooked makes them crispy in the outside and beautifully soft in the middle. The doner meat was nice and the salad was nice and fresh. Overall it was a good portion for the money and the food was of good quality. This is an ideal spot for anybody shopping in the intu centre or derby city centre. There is plenty of seating around and many toilets. The battered mars bar is an absolute must which actually came as a surprise to me.

We ordered fish, it was white and beautiful, the kebab meat was stunning and so much we had it the next day! Sausage in batter stunning, the sides were fab and their chips, out of this world. No other takeaway for us! Deliveroo delivery on time and contact less. Can’t wait for our next treat!

Wow, eaten here a few times now when visiting the intu shopping centre. They are gorgeous and coated with something that makes then like none ive tasted before. With mushy peas and curry sauce ummmm

Perfect lunch, my husband and I came across this fish and chip restaurant whilst going around Intu derby (shopping center) The chips were slightly battered which gave them that extra crispy texture which was perfect. Food was nice and staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend for perfect chips and a lovely battered sausage

Nothing like a normal chip shop. The chips (and everything else on order) are coated in some sort of batter, which makes everything taste like pure grease!!! We don’t be visiting again.
