The Golden Phoenix in East Northamptonshire

Golden Phoenix prawn toast and spring rolls are the best I’ve ever had in Ireland and abroad. Their soups are excellent and satay chicken skewers are crazy good. Best Chinese in Ireland. John

This is a superb home-cooked traditional Chinese Takeaway and the only one we will use. We are kindly given free prawn crackers and spring rolls with our orders. Google calls it 'Hong Kong Chinese'?? (address and phone number the same)

well were to start had takeaway a chicken curry was a mixture of chicken a pork chicken balls were pork a some sort of fishy spring roll in batter worst waste of money all went in the bin never again be warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We used the Golden Phoenix for the first time for a celebratory birthday dinner for our daughter and it was very good indeed. We ordered a wide selection of dishes including half a crispy duck, spare ribs in honey sauce, king prawns with mushrooms, chicken in Szechuan sauce, chicken with pineapple, crispy shredded beef in Peking sauce, beef with ginger and spring onion, and 2 egg fried rice and it was all very nice and reasonably priced at £53 The lady that took our order was very friendly and they gave us some free prawn crackers and spring rolls, as well as some fortune cookies. I will certainly be using the Golden phoenix again when wanting a Chinese take-away.

The staff are really friendly and recognise the locals. The food is so tasty and good value for the cost. Definitely recommend the chow mein & the beef in black bean sauce.

Although I live very close have only just started using this takeaway. The food is always been very good and keenly priced would recommend.

I ordered my usual Beef in black bean sauce with green pepper from here and it was really good, also had the Singapore fried rice, I asked for extra chilli which was no problem and it was delicious, we are spoilt for choice in Higham !

Having lived in the area for 11 years we have never tried this particular Chinese.....what have we been missing,beautiful fresh food,decent Chinese Chow Mein,exceptional Chinese curry and of course the chips were great and all at a steal pricewise.....excellent friendly service and without doubt the best Chinese food i have had in many a year,vsiited 14th November 2016.
