Great takeaway..nice food..the delivery men go above and beyond. Usually untime ...friendly delivery service and good food

I ordered over £100 worth of food and it was money well spent. I ordered chicken chow mein, Singapore noodles, Thai red beef, curry, salt and pepper, chicken salt and pepper, chicken wings, salt, pepper chips, chicken and black bean sauce spare ribs Singapore fried rice, egg fried rice everybody really enjoyed it. Service was quick and efficient I would recommend ordering from here.

Ordered via Just Eat App. Food took 1hr 45mins to arrive. Chased via app and had no reply, rang twice and had no answer. Food arrived cold and with incorrect items. Requested refund and was told “we were busy” Will not order again. Terrible service all round and the food was average.

Food was very disappointing. I always order from golden Palace as its always been lovely but today was terrible. No colour in anything. My 'special' chowmein was simply plain chowmein with two shrimps and a couple peices of chicken. The sweet and sour sauce was flavoured water and not its usual vibrant thick consistency. Salt and pepper squid was more or less tasteless. Very disappointed.

Lovely food and piping hot so no it was fresh, was few mins later than estimated but I guess being a Saturday was to be expected. Will definitely use again and can recommend too

1st time I’ve ever been let down by Golden Palace. We always order from here and it’s normally great. Tonight the food was cold and delivery was 2.5 hours and over an hour late

items missing and 5 days after reporting still no word on getting a refund.

It was New Year’s Eve - it was to be expected that there could be some delay. The driver apologised as soon as I came to the door - he was very friendly and politely shared the apology. The food tasted great / was warm and delicious.

Did not enjoy. Tasteless rice and sweet and sour chicken was so salty. Did not taste good. Very disappointed.

18/11/23..just had a brilliant Takeaway from The Golden Palace it was tasty ,hot brilliantly seasoned and each individual dish tasted different... sometimes it's all a bit samey...if it was meant to be crispy it was ...I was full but couldn't stop eating...we ordered meal for 2 , chicken Kung po( and chips for my son ,he said they were great as well)...great meal ,thanks guys

To cut a long story short-it was OK. I enjoyed the chicken chow mien. I still think the Hong Kong Chinese Takeaway (Higham Ferrers) is one of the best in the area.

Usually give 5 stars as food is amazing , but not today unfortunately…. Chicken was chewy and inedible in the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style and king po chicken. Everything else was lovely but chicken ruined the meal and was thrown away , waste,…….

The dinner was cold unusual for you

Pre ordered for a 7pm delivery. 7.15 and not arrived, called restaurant who said that it had left 10 mins ago. Arrived at 7.30. Ordered from here before and loved it, ordered the same but unfortunately not as enjoyable. Ordered Singapore chow mein (like I always do) and it was way too spicy, like I’ve never experienced before, I couldn’t enjoy it, I’m sorry to say. Other meal was good and sides were ok, just as shame the chef loved his chilli too much on this occasion.

Will only be ordering if I really can’t collect from somewhere else due to price! Have been ordering from here regularly and price of same order was £10 more expensive this month than last! Price increases make this too expensive now.

Although the food is really good from here and never had any issues I feel the the recent price increase are a little over the top. I’ve discovered another Chinese just as good with some of the dishes nearly £2 cheaper! I understand that prices have risen and some of these costs are passed on to customers, but you really need to get a grip of your prices. Sadly i will only be able to come here on “special occasions” as this has become a really expensive treat.

Food always hot and delicious ... ordered chicken in satay sauce , thought this would be like the peanut sauce but no peanut flavour more soya .. perhaps this was the wrong order .. but still was nice .

Often use golden palace and it’s normally very nice and have reviewed it being nice many times but tonight’s meal was awful to the stage it was unedible! The curry had a strange taste and not like it normally is, the ribs tasted warmed up instead of fresh and the Cantonese chicken was flavourless! Only thing that was edible was the chips… can’t really go wrong with chips though. Disappointed as normally the food is very good must’ve just been a one off but it was exceptionally bad!

The food wasn’t great!! Chips soggy, chilli beef watery sauce loaded with strong vinegar taste. King prawn rice starchy. We won’t order again.

They could not deliver because they were too busy - fair enough on a Satuday evening. But when I went to pick up my order an hour later, they refused to give me it, even though payment had been completed on the phone, because they had spelt my name wrong on the order? My daughter had paid on her card, but they still would not give me the takeaway. A waste of food & a waste of time. Now batling for a refund. Let them deliver, do not pick up. Or dont bother at all.

Food is always delicious and regularly comes early. Never had any problems with restaurant or delivery drivers. Delivery driver today was super friendly and polite, a lovely gentleman. Highly recommend restaurant and delivery drivers, we have lived here for 4 years now and this is always our go to!
