Visited here several times when I used to work in Raunds. Lovely little place with great food. I always used to go for the Angus Burger I believe it was which was very yummy and filling! Lots for your money's worth! Service was always something that I felt was a let down as we never felt warm and welcome here which is a shame because the food was so good but nevertheless it didn't stop us coming here. Haven't been for such a long time but I think a visit is on the cards :)

The last time we ate here we were very pleased with the quality of the food and service. However we returned there again last Wednesday during our house hunting trip to Raunds. We were seated at 12.35 and our order was taken within 5 minutes. However the meals did not arrive until just after 13.15 - a wait of 35 minutes and although the waitress apologised for the delay it was obvious from the appearance of both our dishes that the meal fell far below their usual standard. My husbands pie was not very good and his potatoes not much better. My omelette was flat and brown on the outside - the filling was adequate. However we had to eat and run as we had a viewing at 13.30 - Very disappointing visit

I have been here numerous time with friends and it has always been excellent. The dining area is lovely for a casual or special lunch as it is very nicely furnished. The food is lovely whether you're having sandwiches, baked potatoes or one of their lovely main meals. Everyone I know really likes this place.

On looking around the small town of Raunds I came across Espresso's and fancied a coffee - it is a pleasant place, friendly staff and comfortable surroundings, a nice experience.

Lovely, quiet and local. Do a great deal on two steaks with a bottle of wine. The food is amazing and such a suprise in Raunds. This was the best meal I've had in this town.

We were led to believe this was above average - ho hum... Service, whilst friendly, was slow. Finding a wine list took some 20 minutes. After another reuest when it arrived it was crumpled and stained. As it was warm night we decided to eat outside - tables could have done with a good wipe, and the floor had obviously not seen a sweep for some time - cigarette ends all over the place. Menu was nothing more than average selection of pub food, and from arrival to food arriving took one hour. On the plus sign - food was hot, and acceptable, portion size - substantial. (No need for a starter.)

Went to Mrs B s on Saturday. Cappachino was brilliant. Plenty of Tea. Hot scones as well. Staff lovely. Waitress service which makes a change. Great value for money.

We stayed here on two occasions, in our campervan to the rear of inn. Quiet and good location. We enjoyed a nights sleep during both our stays. The staff at the inn are fabulous, welcoming and friendly and the owners are really doing a great job. The food was delicious and the ambiance of the inn was just what you’d hope for, log fire burning in the hearth, dog friendly and lots of positive chatter. I’d recommend this as a stopover and eatery.

Me and my husband arrived at the restaurant with our 6 month old for my sisters 18th birthday meal, we have been here on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed our time here, however this time was different. My mother had booked a table for 6 people and a baby , which was accepted over the phone, when we turned up we were greeted very rudely by a staff member , who pointed out children are not to be in the restaurant past 6 o clock, the lady then stated that this information is ‘plastered’ over the website, however when looking on the website there was nothing stating this, or certainly not ‘plastered’ all over it. I do understand rules are rules and I respect that, however the tone in which this information was delivered was very rude, it was almost as if we had brought in a disease, I really feel these rules need to be made more clear. Following this myself and my family left. We then headed over the road to the Duke of wellington where we were accommodated excellently by polite friendly staff , they even moved chairs around for us. We had a lovely meal , the food was so tasty, cheese board was great, worth every penny. We will not be returning to the love of wine, however the Duke of wellington we definitely will be.
