Had fish and chips The fish wasn't cooked enough The chips were soggy and greasy!! 🤮🤢

Lovely proper chip shop (not a kebab shop). All of the fish is freshly cooked to order and is absolutely delicious. Having grown up in a seaside town, I’m used to very high quality fish and chips and this exceeds my standard. The large cod and large chips is big enough for two to share. The staff are lovely and remember your orders/how you like things.

We had cod, battered sausage, chips and mushy peas… everything was absolutely delicious - the kind gentlemen working also gave me a sausage for my dog! I wish I lived nearer - YUM!

Simple cheap and quick. Just what you want in a chippy. They had run out of a few things when I went but it was late and shortages are a thing everywhere atm

This is the second time I never got what I ordered. This is because the shop was filled with Chinese school kids and when they left in poured a large group of Spanish school kids. Cod was dry two large chips ordered and two small chips received. Complete waste of time and energy

It's a fish and chip shop you order on arrival then generally wait for it to be cooked and leave no seating in shop.

Tonight we bought Smoked Sausage and Chips .. the Chips were dry as if they were cooked to long .. sorry but we have had a few meals from you and have not been nice .. we will not be coming again

The best fish and chips we have had for ages. This is the first time we have been to the Blue Marlin but what a find.. The staff were friendly and we got served very quickly and all was freshly cooked. The fish was really hot, good and tasty and a decent size. It did not all fall apart like at other shops. Lovely crisp batter and again not over battered .The chips were nice and crisp and lovely potatoes. We would highly recommend and will certainly be back.

For the second consecutive week, I have walked away without not only not buying anything, I didn't even get to order. Last week there were 9 pupils from Oundle School who filled the shop. They eventually ordered? A portion of cheesy chips and a large chips. A lot of other customers came up to the shop, saw the queue and cleared off. I don't know who the front of counter bloke (black lank hair), is but he has the customer service skills of Vladimir Putin. The whole ordering/queuing system is a shambles; lanky hair won't let you order direct from Mr Fryer - he prefers you to stand there like a lemon for 15 minutes while he serves other customers. The fish and chips are very good, but life is too short for me to spend half an hour in there.

Been Twice now and both times while passing though on Public Transport I have stopped off to Enjoy This fabulous Chip shop. Portion Size is Just perfect, I feel the Price is Just Right and The Chips are absolutely amazing. Nice little Bonus too, If you ask for Batter Flakes, They will give you them no problem too. Well worth checking out and if you havent been before then you really dont know what your missing. I shall be back some time in the future. Keep up the great Work Blue Marlin. The line caught haddock is always superb and covered in light batter so you can taste the fish. Accompanying chips taste like chips ought to and all is served by helpful and cheerful staff. Well done and thank you.

Fish and chip shop in Oundle market place, good menu selection, homemade fishcakes are really good, nice chips, good value , very clean , staff always friendly.

Wins best in town by default, not by merit. Chips are decent but fish is often soggy and the staff can be a little unattentive. Cash only.

If you order a large Fish and Chips (FC) be prepared to eat a lot. FC are fresh and tasty, and the staff really give it a genuine feel. Prices aren't steep and you definitely get your money's worth. My only critique is the pace of service, it can be super busy during the dinner rush but you can tell the staff work 110% to get through as fast and efficiently as possible, so I haven't deducted a star. All round good chippy, worth checking out.

I don't know whether the reviews are genuine. People in Oundle should feel "Lucky" "Best chippy in area". The people of Oundle deserve better. I ordered a large portion of chips for £2.60 and in comparison to other chippie got a portion which smaller than a normal portion. Poor.

Usually good but Disappointing yesterday as the batter was cooked but the fish still very raw. Obviously the fish was still frozen when frying!

Certainly the best fish and chips in the area. The owners have returned and are clearly displeased about it! I miss the friendly service, professionalism and smiles of the previous managers. Would very much like to see them return.

Absolutely the best chips I've ever had . Stopped off randomly on my motorbike whilst out for spin and was blown away by the taste and quality . People of Oundle are very fortunate.
