We enjoyed an evening meal with two friends. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient and the ambience was relaxed and welcoming. Overall, a most enjoyable experience. We have enjoyed several meals there during the last couple of years, and we have always been pleased. We shall certainly continue to visit the Bell, wither a higher frequency as COVID becomes less threatening. Highly recommended

Popped into The Bell on the spur of moment and was able to sample the Sunday roast. The meat was delicious and cooked to perfection. There was a variety of freshly cooked vegetables and a huge homemade Yorkshire Pud which topped it off nicely, The waiter was very attentive giving us 5 star service. Would highly recommend a visit to The Bell and will definitely be returning.

Visited the Bell after a morning walk. Nicely coordinated dining areas. Very clean and hygienic rest rooms. I had a pint of draught London pride which was well on form. We opted for the pensioners menu at £9.95 for two courses. Two of us had fish and chips with mushy peas with beautifully cooked batter. I had the unusual dish of pork bourguignon with mashed potato whilst the other party had chicken with mushroom sauce and chips both of which were absolutely delicious. We all opted for the scrumptious black forest gateau. .

Booked in on the off chance! Lovely pub and super friendly service. Tables set out beautifully and as clean as could be. Food was cooked to perfection, and service was great. Recommended!

My wife and I had Sunday lunch. The roast beef was excellent as was the service. We have been a number of time over several years and have never been disappointed.

Quiet rustic place, nothing fancy. However, the service and food were wonderful. Had the lentil soup and roast chicken with all the trimmings. Nothing pretentious, just wholesome, homemade food. It really was delightful.

Decided to call to see if had availability, and were able to get in within 30 minutes. Friendly welcome on arrival, and shown to our table. Service was quick, and the food was delicious. Thank you, we will definitely be back

We visited at lunchtime earlier today and were quickly seated in the small restaurant area. We ordered drinks and after a short time our food orders were taken. My wife and I both ordered the beef stroganoff with rice as well as a side order of onion rings and chips. If I am totally honest portion sizes seem to have dropped by about 30% in many pubs we have frequented lately as my wife hardly touched hers so I helped with ease. The chips were relatively average and the onion rings the same. The food and drinks( a pint of guinness and a pint of coke totalled £48....very expensive for what was consumed.....we did not enjoy the main course very much. We probably would not return. Last minute Sunday lunch,was on a different level. Service and food is top class just wow, roast beef was melt in your mouth.

We booked a table for 6 for Sunday lunch after hearing amazing reviews and WOW it didn’t dissapoint.The service and friendliness of the staff was a 10/10 and the food was amazing,we instantly booked for Christmas dinner.Why can’t other pub/restaurants be amazing like this,definitely my new favourite place.I am from yorkshire and it’s hard to find a really good Sunday dinner after 30 years of living in Northamptonshire I’ve definitely found one of the best.Can’t wait for Christmas now xx

We haven’t been for 2 years, they’ve been closed for a long period. They have shrunk it to maybe less than a third of the size, but Sunday lunch - although no longer a carvery - was as good as ever. Well done, we’ll be back soon!!

Went here a few weeks back, staff very friendly although took a while for food to be served and forgot one dish. Food was typical home cooked product. Nice and fresh but I thought expensive for what it was. £25 for sirloin as example. Not bad but certainly not worth a 4.5 star

Me and my dad had dinner tonight at The Bell. Dad said “it was the best night in a pub he’d had for years”. Everything about this place was great - the staff are exceptionally friendly, cheerful and helpful; the menu choices range from vegan steak to fish and chips to lamb rump, literally something for everyone. The food was fresh and hot, on hot plates, with all the trimmings for example homemade tartare sauce with fish and chips. Comfy seats, plenty of parking and everywhere was clean and plenty of covid systems in place. Oops I haven’t mentioned the desserts! Gorgeous, and again, so much choice and all homemade. I wish this place was on our doorstep.

We have been looking for a good local restaurant, and decided to try the Bell Inn. The staff all seemed very friendly and helpful, and the menu choices were great. The speed of the food was on the slow side BUT, when the food arrived, it was definitely worth the wait you could tell it was freshly cooked to order. We will definitely be back

Visited this restaurant with family for Sunday dinner. Visited 5+ years ago when food was ok. Place has changed a bit, is smaller. Food this time very good. Friendly staff. Plenty of good quality food on plate so a good Sunday lunch. Not a carvery though. 3 courses just over £20.

I cannot praise this place highly enough. Me and my partner both had the fillet steak, and it was cooked perfectly. The food was of exceptional quality and the staff were very warm, helpful and inviting. A real hidden gem of country pubs in Northamptonshire....

It was our first ever visit to The Bell Inn at Little Addington and we will definitely be going back. Very welcoming young waitresses who were so polite. Owners Nela & Radu couldn’t be more charming and helpful. We chose breaded Camembert and whitebait for starters and then my wife had roast beef and I had roast pork from the buffet. Fantastic choice of accompanying vegetables including cauliflower cheese. The crackling was fantastic. No room for desserts but the strawberry meringue and Eton mess looked amazing. Having lived two miles up the road for seven years this was our first visit to eat. Superb quality. We will definitely be going back.

Wow, a hidden gem where we receive time and time again silver service and food quality in a beautiful local village setting. Fish courses and steaks cooked exceptionally every time we come. An exceptionally exquisite menu that means we never know what to order! And what really stands out is that people from London actually take the train up to The Bell at Addington! Silver service and fabulous food and a friendly atmosphere. Why would we think of going anywhere else now we've had the best! Thankyou everyone at The Bell Inn. Thank you so much Nela and Florin at front of house , Radu (the Genius head chef), and Dana, Daniel and Tanta who all perform the fab magic in the kitchen! We arrived here on Saturday lunchtime for a table for four (not booked) and although the pub was very busy with a couple of parties, we were welcomed by a friendly and helpful lady who showed us to a table right next to the bar. We had four lovely meals, a bottle of Prosecco and various other beers and bottled lagers. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and they all did a great job of looking after us considering how busy they were with the other parties and general diners. We would recommend The Bell for either just drinks or a meal and found the locals very friendly too. It would have been good to stay for longer but had taxi's waiting! Thank you to all the staff for making us welcome.

The food we had was very good and the service was excellent although there were only 2 other diners. However, the six of us all decided to have tea after our lunch - provided in two teapots. Imagine our surprise when we got the bill to find we had been charged £16.80 for it £2.80 per person. None of us have ever been charged anything like that amount for tea before and to be honest felt totally ripped off. Some very experienced diners in our party too I might add. As a matter of principle I will not be returning anytime soon which is a shame as the food was good

I met 2 friends here for an annual ‘catch up’. Two of us opted for the hot buffet lunch with rice / chips and a good salad bar. Was delicious and excellent value! I particularly liked the Spanish pork casserole!

Sat outside as it was a lovely day, had my 8month old Rottie with my friend and my mum. The young waiter was lovely. We opted for the help yourself hot buffet followed by desserts, all was very good. Total bill with drinks was £15 each. Well worth a visit and we actually had a message from friends that saw we were there on Facebook and said how good it was so they also drove over with their son and baby.

Four of us went for lunch 24.04.19. Two of us had the Chicken & Bacon Sandwiches which came warm with chips and salad. One had the Gameburger which came with chips and salad and the other was Game Sauages with Mash & onion gravy. All meals with excellant value and tasted delicious. We will be going back there again.

Looking for somewhere new to eat and came across this place which is a lovely old pub we didn't know existed. We found the service, cleanliness and presentation excellent, however, 'hovering' staff a little too much at times. The place could be fuller if the current owners looked at their food prices. Above average prices for good enough food, although not exceptional, and also portion sizes being on the small side. Overall a nice evening, but perhaps would not hurry back

a completely random visit as was taking daughter to gymnastics and wanted a meal while we waited. turned up at 5:30 and the pub was only just opening but the owner could have been more accomodating, serving up drinks, and taking our food orders so that we would have plenty of time to eat and get back to the gym to collect daughter. The Beer is qaulity real ale and is obviously well kept. I ordered a Rib Eye steak, it was amazing, perfectly cooked and presented, my partner had the Chicken breast served on creamed veg, again it was first class! wouldnt normally have selected a desert but as was so impressed we went for the raspberry cheesecake and the apple and blackberry crumble served with home made custard. total bill was £50 and i really couldnt fault it. Even had time for a game of skittles as this is a traditional british vilage pub. I chatted with the owner, a Romanian who has owned th epub for two years. Him and his young team of staff have transformed this tired old pub into something special. Will reccomend this to anyome thats looking for something thats informal but with a hint of quality! Brilliant.

Have visited many times and always been warmly welcomed. Excellent facilities and delicious home cooked food. Mid week offers on lunches are outstanding - specials or what we always go for - a hot buffet (which varies every day).

We came for a meal on Friday (fish night). The food was delicious and the menu offered variety of choices. The waiter was very professional and helpful. The place is very clean, cosy and well managed. The owners and the staff are very friendly so you can tell local people come there regularly. We had a very pleasant evening. Thank you!!!

The Bell are not brilliant at answering their phone or email but we are glad we persisted. I’m a Michelin starred girl but I could not fault the food here. They bought me a steak knife to cut the lamb but a spoon would gave fine it was so lovely and so tender. Veg was perfect. We wanted to share a starter and they kindly shared it for us. Pudding was lovely (the crumble) and it was the best cheese board we’d had in a good long while ... enough cheeses to feed a small army and lovely crackers. If ever we are back in this area we will most certainly return. Big recommendation from us.

We enjoyed evening dinner with friends on my wife's birthday. Not the first time we have dined at the bell, the quality of the meals is excellent, and the quality of service is in my experience unmatched, we were made very welcome by the friendly and completely professional staff, I can recommend this establishment very highly to anyone. It is a family run business, and family who take very great pride and care in what they do. We were looked after in a completely professional and friendly manner, to sum up, when the owner bid us farewell when we left i told him 'you are the best restaurant ever'I meant every word.if you want to enjoy a top quality dining experience book a table,you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic restaurant, really great cosy atmosphere. We were a fairly large group and made to feel very welcome, the staff were absolutely delightful! Everything was delicious and the staff really went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. We even got a dessert cooked especially for our group!

Group of 15-20 of us, full 3 course meal was absolutely amazing, served with white gloves and good timing for each course. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening with great service and great food.

From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by very smart, professional and friendly staff. Shown to our table. Food was excellent and staff knowledgeable when I asked about a salad dressing. Couldn't fault anything at all. The Bell has a lovely feel and we will certainly be going back and have no hesitation in recommending to my friends - good for just a socialising meal with friends to a formal celebration meal.

We visited for Sunday lunch some weeks back.. what can I say?

Some of the food was very good some poor. I had fish in breadcrumbs, the oil it was cooked in was stale and ruined the taste. The puddings were bland. Main problem was the beer. I was served a cloudy foul tasting pint which tasted of cleaning fluid .I pointed this out to the waiter he went away never to return. On leaving the pub the same waiter asked me how my pint was . I repeated my complaint only to be told it was a fresh barrel . I don't see how that helps.

We went for lunch and really enjoyed the meal, from the cleanliness of the place, to the lovely food and to be served by a very professional young man who wore white gloves when serving your meal made a very nice change from being served as an anonymous customer.

I've eaten at the Bell several times and have always really enjoyed the food. The Tues-Sat lunch time buffet is particularly good, great value and tasty home-cooked food, stews, chicken chasseur, casseroles, fresh vegetables, potato gratin accompanied by a fresh salad bar. The friendly staff and cosy country pub atmosphere complement the experience. It's a 10 out of 10 in my book! Well worth a visit.

What a gem of a place hidden away in little addington.

Visited this pub for the first time last Friday evening and we were pleasantly surprised. Staff friendly and made us feel welcome. I ordered the Salmon which was delicious with the dill and lemon sauce. The salmon just fell apart with lovely crispy skin. My husband had the traditional fish and chips which he also enjoyed. For dessert I had the lady fingers cheesecake and it was lovely and my husband had the chocolate cake. We both had decaf coffee which was freshly brewed which certainly made change from the usual instant we get when we order decaff. This was served with a lovely shortbread biscuit which melted in the mouth. I thought the serve was very good and we were asked a couple of times if our meal was ok. We are definitely going back and have reserved a table for later in the month.

when booking if id realised it was only carver we wouldn't have booked.its the one thing we are keen on every one had exactly the same problems.because they are popular with families firstly the plates are either stone cold or just about warm, understandably so because of the kids and putting food out and expecting the food to keep hot is really an impossible task, this one being no exception..the starters we had ,the mushrooms and cheese were delicious but then it went down hill .the food had it been hot would of been lovely but I just don't like cold food.the starters were nothing particularly.the two things that stood out was the ambiance inside and the staff were delightful, nothing was too much trouble

What a great experience this was, visiting The Bell for the first time this evening. We went for a meal with two friends and we all revelled in the atmosphere of this very special restaurant.

I have eaten in a number of top restaurants and hotels including Rules and The Goring in London.

Everytime we have a birthday, instead of buying presents me and my wife and my brother and his wife go for a meal, so have visited many restaurants. We try a different place everytime however the Bell was so good I think we will go there everytime from now on. Nothing in the last five years has been as good as this place.we all had different starter's mains and deserts everything was spot on.

Delicious meal...we had main courses only but both the fillet of beef and tournedos were delicious and service outstanding. Lovely setting too.

Booked in for the Sunday lunch carvery, Great service, soon seated and everyone very attentive, All cooked beautifully, especially the vegetables. Nothing soggy as experienced in some carveries in the past. Not the cheapest at £21,95 but we did not mind

It has been a number of years since my last visit to this pub and what a wonderful surprise it was. We tried the fish evening and it was superb. Great food, lovely relaxed atmosphere and a superb attentive service from the bar staff and waiting staff. I could not fault it.

Well worth it! Excellent food and service. Not been to the bell in years but it was even better than I remembered. Fish night was great loads of choice salmon a must also the sea bass and my partner had the steak and said it was by far the best he'd had in ages. We will be back and are going to try the sunday carvary has we have heard this is a must to.

Booked at short notice the other night. First time in years that I've been to the Bell, but it won't be the last. We had the lamb, and it was superb. The staff are very attentive and friendly, without being intrusive.

Just been for lunch at The Bell – our second time there. Radu - chef and owner - cooked some special Romanian soup to order for my wife which was just as good as her mother makes (don’t tell her mum!). Such a great atmosphere. Great selection of tasty food. I really like this place.

Amazing discovery, this Inn tucked away in the lovely village of little Addington is truly wonderful. Having just returned from The Bell in little Addington I felt that I must tell you about this little gem of an establishment. I made the booking the week before for 12 adults and 5 children and my call was dealt with in a professional manner.

Excellent food,staff,surroundings. Highly recommended. Great value couldn't fault it. The pub is well maintained and spotlessly clean

Had a lovely meal here on Easter Sunday, the food was marvellous , 3 courses for £25.00 the quality was wonderful, first class service , the waiter even wore white gloves, will definately go again .

On entering the Bell we were welcomed by staff who were most helpful and diligent. They couldn't do enough for us as at the moment my partner has mobility problems.

Popped in en route to meet friends on a Saturday night, what a shame not one person in the bar and only two tables taken in the restaurant . There was a lovely fire going in the bar , staff were lovely just felt really sorry for them as so quiet. Apparently they do well on their Sunday Carvery. We will return but make sure there is a crowd of us.

Fantastic food and service, they have live music every month, and really good quality. The Sunday car very is one of the best in the area. Well done to all the staff

My new fave place in the county. Great food and awesome service at The Bell. Went with friends who go twice a week (now there's a recommendation!). We had Romanian food - of which I am already a fan - and it was fabulous. Radu the head chef comes out to say hello. This will be the first of many visits.

Haven’t been here for years, we noticed it was open for Sunday carvery and decided to give it a try.....

No complaints, we had a good lunch served by friendly people. Nice choice of beers on tap too. Good, attractive decor makes this a modern country pub albeit in an old building.

After reading reviews we were expecting so much. However the food failed to deliver. Both ordered burgers and both were barely edible.

Family run, the pub has made great efforts to integrate with the village community and provide a focal point.

Having read some great reviews, I took my family to The Bell to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed. The staff were really nice and attentive, without being overbearing. The food was beautiful and definitely lived up to expectations.

We ate there on a Saturday night. Fairly quiet, maybe 6 tables used. Traditional style to restaurant area but for me that’s a good thing. Nice to have some carpet on the floor and soft furnishings to help soak up sound. Menu not too large and everything we ordered came perfectly cooked and presented. Very tasty and good portion sizes. Nice selection of quality wines and all served by friendly efficient staff. Like another reivewer it would have been nice to have had homemade bread while waiting for the starter, otherwise what what was the side plate knife for- table decoration? Nice touch that the chef came over to ask customers if they were happy with their food.

We visited with friends on a Saturday evening and had a fabulous meal. The menu was so inviting........ We all had starters and ordered steak from the grill section of the menu. Best piece of steak I can honestly say Ive had! Whilst definitely not needed, the puddings looked too lush not to be tried and we weren't disappointed. The staff were so attentive and our overall experience was right up there. A must for any food lovers.

We ate her with a friend last weekend as our first choice restaurant was fully booked - and we are so glad it was! What a gem this place is, great food, good service and run by one of the nicest couples ever. Try the steaks, full flavoured and cooked perfectly. Everything we had, from the scallops and Brie starters through to desserts, it was all perfect. We will definitely be back, I’m not sure the locals realise what a great pub they have.

We were looking for some where to hold a special family lunch, very special, to celebrate our Golden Wedding and my wifes 70th Birthday.

Known as "that white gloves place" by friends who live nearby, because of the food service by white-gloved waiting staff. We went on Thursday which is "Grill Night" and we enjoyed excellent value and quality meat and fish dishes attentively served. A simple well made/garnished burger satisfied this reviewer.
