The Bell Inn in East Northamptonshire

had participated in a event recently there with family and friends, some of the desert that was paid for was not served. heating wasn't working. staff were very nice but they need to communicate if something is not working or not happening, and refund if you don't serve what package you sold to your customers.

Very nice place the food portions are massive and very tasty ..the guy who worked there was very friendly.definitely coming back there.

We went to the Bell in Little Addington with some friends. We did not know that it had changed hands and was now a Turkish Restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. We had a great evening.

If I could only give it 0 stars I would as I never got to actually eat there! I had booked a table for two at 1230 on Friday 28th of June through fb messenger and it was confirmed by them. Got there and it was closed!!Tried ringing them from outside and no answer. Fb Message them and one picked up and ignored and other message ignored! Not very good customer service at all. Such a shame as would rather go to a local independent establishment than a chain.

Have had a couple of decent meals here , but won’t be back , food well below average , very greasy , wrong meals delivered and poor attitude to complaints . Will spend my money elsewhere in the future

Booked a table on a whim... didn't realise it was a Turkish restaurant and bar, which was a very welcome surprise. It is run by a very nice lady and her family who are cooking their meals to perfection..I can confidently say that the food is authentic as you can get outside of Turkey. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are filling. I can recommend here 💯 We shall be back for sure.

Just home from a fantastic lunch at The Bell. So much choice on the menu it was difficult to choose, with Turkish kebabs, Italian pastas and everything inbetween. After starting with complimentary bread, The Butterfly Prawn starter followed by Sea Bass was delicious. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going to sample some more of the menu!

I've been here a few times now. Great service. The food is amazing. One complaint is that you have to squeeze past the local drinkers who stand in the narrow bar to get to the restaurant. Most of them move to let you get through, but you always get the one ignorant person who will not move! This needs addressing!

We have not visited The Bell before and as it was my birthday we went out for lunch and thought we would try it. The food was amazing and I could not have asked for better. Cant wait to go back in the evening and experience the atmosphere and more of the menu. See you soon 👍🏻

Very comfortable, cosy, extremely positive atmosphere. Very clean hall, bar area and outdoor sits. Delicious Turkish and Mediterranean foods. Unbelievable good experience. Sure I will visit again and again. Thank you, Aydin bey. And the lady ( I forgot the name) for your kind hospitality. It is highly recommended for couples, friends and small 5-10-person parties.

Great environment, great staff and food was first class, alot better quality and taste than I've had in more costly establishments , and very fairly priced.

New managers recently stepped in, now serving a Turkish/Mediterranean menu. Our food was fantastic - fresh, everything homemade (moussaka, hummus, falafel, salad), service was good. My only criticism is the ambiance/ decor isn't great but if you have fantastic food and lovely people, decor can always be easily improved over time. If you like Mediterranean food, make the effort to take the drive over. You won't regret it.

Dog friendly… ish. Not allowed on the furniture. Quite expensive for a lunch. Lots of food though. I prefer a light lunch. Each to their own though. Mine was meant to come with salad & chips, when I questioned this I got told the salad is in the wrap. So I wasn’t too impressed with the answer when the menu clearly states otherwise. Friendly staff when we arrived. Came away stinking of smoke though, as the wood burner wasn’t lit correctly… Our clothes and dogs smelt of a bonfire lol. That’s ok though, as they were trying to keep us warm…. Don’t think we will return here tho. My wrap should of been impressive for £13. But it really wasn’t up to scratch.

We love the food here. All freshly cooked and perfect taste everytime. It's a lovely quiet pub in a lovely village location. I would strongly recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed

First time going after the change of ownership and honestly will be back very soon! Beautiful food, plenty of everything including atmosphere, flavour, friendly staff and portion size! We had the hot meze, the stuffed aubergine and the chicken saute and we were stuffed. Extremely good value too

A fantastic lunch with excellent service

Truly excellent meal at The Bell Inn tonight. Hummus with lamb and chicken shish. Absolutely delicious - I am going back next week! Great service too.

We enjoyed an evening meal with two friends. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient and the ambience was relaxed and welcoming. Overall, a most enjoyable experience. We have enjoyed several meals there during the last couple of years, and we have always been pleased. We shall certainly continue to visit the Bell, wither a higher frequency as COVID becomes less threatening. Highly recommended

Popped into The Bell on the spur of moment and was able to sample the Sunday roast. The meat was delicious and cooked to perfection. There was a variety of freshly cooked vegetables and a huge homemade Yorkshire Pud which topped it off nicely, The waiter was very attentive giving us 5 star service. Would highly recommend a visit to The Bell and will definitely be returning.

Visited the Bell after a morning walk. Nicely coordinated dining areas. Very clean and hygienic rest rooms. I had a pint of draught London pride which was well on form. We opted for the pensioners menu at £9.95 for two courses. Two of us had fish and chips with mushy peas with beautifully cooked batter. I had the unusual dish of pork bourguignon with mashed potato whilst the other party had chicken with mushroom sauce and chips both of which were absolutely delicious. We all opted for the scrumptious black forest gateau. .

A lovely pub which has certainly changed in the past few years.... Seeming to have halved in size. Still nice, lovely staff and atmosphere too..... There use to be a Romanian gentleman greet us at the door and kiss my wife's hand! Don't think he's there anymore. All very good.

Visited for Sunday lunch good was of a good quality and very tasty. Portion sizes were very good and vegetarian alternative was also good. Staff are nice and friendly. Only criticism is prices are a little higher than I would have expected especially for children but I would definitely go back

Great pub & friendly polite staff. Managed to get in for Sunday Carvery last minute, for 5 people. Food was excellent and the portions were more than generous. It is slightly expensive, but the food was very good, so for a treat once in a while, it was worth it. Will definitely be returning.

Arrived Sunday. Worn out and not booked. They welcomed us and made us feel really welcome. We has leek and potato soup. Brie and stillton tart with salad. Absolutely gorgeous. We both went for 3 meats Sunday dinner. Loads of meat and veg. More than we could manage. Pudding was ice cream . Apple pie with toffee sauce. We had Shandy Tea and iced water. The food was great. Service exceptional. No rushing about. Wheel chair access. Friendly and welcoming service. Will definately go again.Thank you from a tired person who was glad to be made to feel welcome.

Last miniute booking, easy to find and lovely local pub. Florin our waiter was fabulous, very friendly & welcoming. We all opted for the beer battered fish & chips, very tasty, well presented and came out fast! Will definitely be visiting again.

I had gammon egg & chips, Food was lovely, tender meat, but missing the peas, and just Rocket isn't classed as salad, so was a little disappointing. A few veg to that dish would be nice. Visited yesterday with our walking group group for lunch.....absolutely delicious beef bourginon where chunks of beef literally melted in the mouth.....all other dishes looked delicious and judging by every clean plate that went back it was!! My wife and I had Sunday lunch. The roast beef was excellent as was the service. We have been a number of time over several years and have never been disappointed.

Quiet rustic place, nothing fancy. However, the service and food were wonderful. Had the lentil soup and roast chicken with all the trimmings. Nothing pretentious, just wholesome, homemade food. It really was delightful.

Second visit to The Bell Inn at Little Addington for another Tuesday Dad & Son beer night. Quiet here on a Tuesday.night save for a local committee meeting for an event to be held between the Addington villages. Felt a bit odd (possible Rotary Club meal last time we came) but we sat over the other side of the big lounge area so it didn't disturb us, chatting as we were. Good community business for the pub, though. There is always a very good welcome here. Two draft beers on, this time. Mine was well kept and presented. Apart from that there was fairly limited beer choice but also some bottles in the chiller. We didn't come for a big session as one of us was driving so it wasn't an issue. There's a good standard pub menu for lunch some days and evening meals and they also do both afternoon tea and high tea. Roasts on Sunday. senior's lunches too, it appears. Check the website...always best before you book, anyway. This pub is worth another visit but very much a local pub trying to expand its food business. It's a nice building but the pub is tucked away in this small village and you have to know it's there. Worth trying it out. Can't comment on the meals though, yet but if we eat, another time, I'll update this initial review.

First time visitors to The Bell Inn. Booked for Sunday lunch and it was fabulous. The food was 5 star and the service was brilliant. It wasn't expensive and we were very happily surprised at the quality of food. Hope to visit again soon.

We visited at lunchtime earlier today and were quickly seated in the small restaurant area. We ordered drinks and after a short time our food orders were taken. My wife and I both ordered the beef stroganoff with rice as well as a side order of onion rings and chips. If I am totally honest portion sizes seem to have dropped by about 30% in many pubs we have frequented lately as my wife hardly touched hers so I helped with ease. The chips were relatively average and the onion rings the same. The food and drinks( a pint of guinness and a pint of coke totalled £48....very expensive for what was consumed.....we did not enjoy the main course very much. We probably would not return. Last minute Sunday lunch,was on a different level. Service and food is top class just wow, roast beef was melt in your mouth.

We booked a table for 6 for Sunday lunch after hearing amazing reviews and WOW it didn’t dissapoint.The service and friendliness of the staff was a 10/10 and the food was amazing,we instantly booked for Christmas dinner.Why can’t other pub/restaurants be amazing like this,definitely my new favourite place.I am from yorkshire and it’s hard to find a really good Sunday dinner after 30 years of living in Northamptonshire I’ve definitely found one of the best.Can’t wait for Christmas now xx

We haven’t been for 2 years, they’ve been closed for a long period. They have shrunk it to maybe less than a third of the size, but Sunday lunch - although no longer a carvery - was as good as ever. Well done, we’ll be back soon!!

Went here a few weeks back, staff very friendly although took a while for food to be served and forgot one dish. Food was typical home cooked product. Nice and fresh but I thought expensive for what it was. £25 for sirloin as example. Not bad but certainly not worth a 4.5 star

Me and my dad had dinner tonight at The Bell. Dad said “it was the best night in a pub he’d had for years”. Everything about this place was great - the staff are exceptionally friendly, cheerful and helpful; the menu choices range from vegan steak to fish and chips to lamb rump, literally something for everyone. The food was fresh and hot, on hot plates, with all the trimmings for example homemade tartare sauce with fish and chips. Comfy seats, plenty of parking and everywhere was clean and plenty of covid systems in place. Oops I haven’t mentioned the desserts! Gorgeous, and again, so much choice and all homemade. I wish this place was on our doorstep.

We have been looking for a good local restaurant, and decided to try the Bell Inn. The staff all seemed very friendly and helpful, and the menu choices were great. The speed of the food was on the slow side BUT, when the food arrived, it was definitely worth the wait you could tell it was freshly cooked to order. We will definitely be back

Visited this restaurant with family for Sunday dinner. Visited 5+ years ago when food was ok. Place has changed a bit, is smaller. Food this time very good. Friendly staff. Plenty of good quality food on plate so a good Sunday lunch. Not a carvery though. 3 courses just over £20.

I cannot praise this place highly enough. Me and my partner both had the fillet steak, and it was cooked perfectly. The food was of exceptional quality and the staff were very warm, helpful and inviting. A real hidden gem of country pubs in Northamptonshire....

It was our first ever visit to The Bell Inn at Little Addington and we will definitely be going back. Very welcoming young waitresses who were so polite. Owners Nela & Radu couldn’t be more charming and helpful. We chose breaded Camembert and whitebait for starters and then my wife had roast beef and I had roast pork from the buffet. Fantastic choice of accompanying vegetables including cauliflower cheese. The crackling was fantastic. No room for desserts but the strawberry meringue and Eton mess looked amazing. Having lived two miles up the road for seven years this was our first visit to eat. Superb quality. We will definitely be going back.

Wow, a hidden gem where we receive time and time again silver service and food quality in a beautiful local village setting. Fish courses and steaks cooked exceptionally every time we come. An exceptionally exquisite menu that means we never know what to order! And what really stands out is that people from London actually take the train up to The Bell at Addington! Silver service and fabulous food and a friendly atmosphere. Why would we think of going anywhere else now we've had the best! Thankyou everyone at The Bell Inn. Thank you so much Nela and Florin at front of house , Radu (the Genius head chef), and Dana, Daniel and Tanta who all perform the fab magic in the kitchen! We can't recommend The Bell Inn enough, Radu will cook absolutely anything to your own requirement and nothing is too much trouble to make your meal amazing. Thanks again everyone.

We arrived here on Saturday lunchtime for a table for four (not booked) and although the pub was very busy with a couple of parties, we were welcomed by a friendly and helpful lady who showed us to a table right next to the bar. We had four lovely meals, a bottle of Prosecco and various other beers and bottled lagers. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and they all did a great job of looking after us considering how busy they were with the other parties and general diners. We would recommend The Bell for either just drinks or a meal and found the locals very friendly too. It would have been good to stay for longer but had taxi's waiting! Thank you to all the staff for making us welcome.

The food we had was very good and the service was excellent although there were only 2 other diners. However, the six of us all decided to have tea after our lunch - provided in two teapots. Imagine our surprise when we got the bill to find we had been charged £16.80 for it £2.80 per person. None of us have ever been charged anything like that amount for tea before and to be honest felt totally ripped off. Some very experienced diners in our party too I might add. As a matter of principle I will not be returning anytime soon which is a shame as the food was good

I met 2 friends here for an annual ‘catch up’. Two of us opted for the hot buffet lunch with rice / chips and a good salad bar. Was delicious and excellent value! I particularly liked the Spanish pork casserole!

Sat outside as it was a lovely day, had my 8month old Rottie with my friend and my mum. The young waiter was lovely. We opted for the help yourself hot buffet followed by desserts, all was very good. Total bill with drinks was £15 each. Well worth a visit and we actually had a message from friends that saw we were there on Facebook and said how good it was so they also drove over with their son and baby.

Four of us went for lunch 24.04.19. Two of us had the Chicken & Bacon Sandwiches which came warm with chips and salad. One had the Gameburger which came with chips and salad and the other was Game Sauages with Mash & onion gravy. All meals with excellant value and tasted delicious. We will be going back there again.

Looking for somewhere new to eat and came across this place which is a lovely old pub we didn't know existed. We found the service, cleanliness and presentation excellent, however, 'hovering' staff a little too much at times. The place could be fuller if the current owners looked at their food prices. Above average prices for good enough food, although not exceptional, and also portion sizes being on the small side. Overall a nice evening, but perhaps would not hurry back

a completely random visit as was taking daughter to gymnastics and wanted a meal while we waited. turned up at 5:30 and the pub was only just opening but the owner could have been more accomodating, serving up drinks, and taking our food orders so that we would have plenty of time to eat and get back to the gym to collect daughter. The Beer is qaulity real ale and is obviously well kept. I ordered a Rib Eye steak, it was amazing, perfectly cooked and presented, my partner had the Chicken breast served on creamed veg, again it was first class! wouldnt normally have selected a desert but as was so impressed we went for the raspberry cheesecake and the apple and blackberry crumble served with home made custard. total bill was £50 and i really couldnt fault it. Even had time for a game of skittles as this is a traditional british vilage pub. I chatted with the owner, a Romanian who has owned th epub for two years. Him and his young team of staff have transformed this tired old pub into something special. Will reccomend this to anyome thats looking for something thats informal but with a hint of quality! Brilliant.

Have visited many times and always been warmly welcomed. Excellent facilities and delicious home cooked food. Mid week offers on lunches are outstanding - specials or what we always go for - a hot buffet (which varies every day).

We came for a meal on Friday (fish night). The food was delicious and the menu offered variety of choices. The waiter was very professional and helpful. The place is very clean, cosy and well managed. The owners and the staff are very friendly so you can tell local people come there regularly. We had a very pleasant evening. Thank you!!!
