The best restaurants in East Midlands

Happened to drop on this place a few months ago & have been going ever since, the food is amazing, great value for money, when so many places that do overpriced food that isn’t nowhere near as good as this place. The staff are excellent, so friendly, well mannered & always remember me. A true gem of a place. Many thanks

Mel is brilliant, as soon as you walk in you feel welcomed with a nice atmosphere. The food is great, I’ve been getting the breakfast cob here for years and it has always been bang on. Portions are perfect, very filling and not stingy with the ingredients, price is also very good which is a huge bonus and means I will always be a repeat customer and 95% of the time choose here over other places. Overall Mel does some great food and doesn’t cheap out on ingredients like a lot of places do, I would recommend to anybody to eat here👍 A true hucknall gem.

Recent Sunday visit to Dove Cottage tea room. Good menu with a great range of freshly prepared hot and cold snacks, cakes and drinks. Friendly, efficient service, clean and a nice garden!

Been for a coffee with a friend coffee was bitter food looked like it had been left for hours, jacket was so dry and stale, bread has mould on it and not much salad and was wilted and slimy staff were rude and more bothered about chatting and doin there own thing when we complained they shrugged and carried on and didnt care i will never go there again

I was at a function yesterday where Rhubarb had supplied the catering. The girls that delivered the food were lovely and very professional and punctual. The buffet was absolutely fantastic! and as I understand very reasonably priced. I can't recommend this business enough, and I will definitely be using them in the future.

Good food, good service, and pleasant surroundings. This pub is dog friendly they also provide a dog menu. A very large garden and car parking area. Food service piping hot. They have a selection of food, and if eating lunch time or early afternoon they have a very reasonable priced menu for about £7.50. Our order was for 2 meals and 2 drinks for under £20. We were on our final day in region, but as Seniors wished we had found this place earlier with our limited budget.

Very good breakfast and exceptionally friendly staff. Our stay was cut short by the effect of the floods. We had planned to have our evening meal here on the strength of the breakfast.

For those who know me i like a cup of tea and cake. this venue did not disappoint. i will be trying a full lunch next time i go. Thanks!

This is really now called Bumblebees! I brought a couple of friends here for coffee this morning and had a wonderful time. We were struck by the warm and friendly welcome and the freshly decorated surroundings. Nice menu, everything freshly prepared and reasonably priced. My pumpkin spiced latte was delicious. We will be back for more!

Was with my son on a boiling day who was exhausted and starving, but on a health kick...saw detox shack and popped in...brulliant chap said leave it with me, and rustled up a superb healthy smoothie and Snack. Saved the day!

This was my husband's first trip out since his stroke we ordered tea and scones the tea was the best I've had outside my own house the scones were yummy but my husband dropped his cause he shakes a bit but they insisted on giving him another one such kindness is lovely so thank you Alford deli we had a wonderful day out cheers mo
