This is really now called Bumblebees! I brought a couple of friends here for coffee this morning and had a wonderful time. We were struck by the warm and friendly welcome and the freshly decorated surroundings. Nice menu, everything freshly prepared and reasonably priced. My pumpkin spiced latte was delicious. We will be back for more!

We regularly use this wonderful cafe for breakfast. Their full english breakfast is the best around. Always a warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Food is cooked to order and therefore always fresh and hot. Good selection of cakes available. As well as eat in, this cafe also has a very good takeaway selection available. Prices are very reasonable, excellent value for value.

We arranged a surprise afternoon tea for a friend for her birthday. Choice for vegetarians and those with allergies/intolerances was great. They even put a candle in the cake and table staff sang happy birthday for our friend! Lovely afternoon, thanks.

We visited for morning tea before a circular walk nearby along the canal towpath and then back next to the railway line. All the (small number of) tables were occupied but we were fortunate to have another couple invite us to share with them.Service (despite the full tea toom) was quick and obliging. We will return when next in the area. Please, please update your listing TripAdvisor as this tea room deserves a proper listing. I contacted TA 6 weeks ago and have had no reply.

Visited Sunday 25th March for Breakfast. Top ingredients. Most definitely not your usual cheap cash and carry rubbish so do not understand the review that states glorified transport cafe. Could not be further from the truth. Service was great. Wasn't lightning quick but i we weren't after fast food rubbish. Cooked nicely, served with a smile and not pricey at all. Thank You.

Visited at 10am on a Thursday for coffee and breakfast; the whole place smelt like a greasy cafe and was busy with ‘workers’ waiting for takeaway. I sat in the cafe area along with two other potential customers and we waited for 10 minutes before a lady came in and apologised explaining that they were very busy with some large takeaway orders. We continued to wait but the other guys gave up 5 minutes later and walked out. After 20 minutes with still no one taking my order more ‘builders’ entered and ordered takeaway essentially jumping the queue. At this Point I gave up and left. Complete waste of time; this place was just a glorified transport cafe and the 2 staff just couldn’t cope. The priority was clearly on the takeaway business.

This is a little gem of a cafe, it has a relaxed a friendly atmosphere. Food is excellent value for money and the breakfast is one of the best I have ever had. We visited 3 times in two days.We had drinks first, lunch the next day and breakfast the final day of our stay. Some of the food took a little while to come out, but was pipping hot, freshly cooked (including jacket potatoes) and worth the wait. The breakfast the following day was superb! Excellent value for money, pipping hot and cooked to perfection. Quite simply one of the best breakfasts I have had. They cater for gluten free suffers and had a good choice of gluten free options on the menu. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.

Last Thursday we met up with friends at Mercia Marina and walked the towpath into Willington. Just a 1 mile or so easy walk. Anyway when we arrived at Willington our friends introduced us to this lovely little cafe/tea rooms very simply furnished with oil cloth covered tables and seating for around 16. They have been several times previously so very familiar with the menu etc. As there was 6 of us we decided to have our lunch - a small menu but enough choice to ensure everyone is catered for. Most of us had an Omelette with various fillings, our other friend had Soup & roll. Omelettes came with a lovely fresh salad and I tried one of their little tin speciality ham & cheese rolls. Must say THANKYOU to Pauline & Bob for taking us to such a lovely little cafe. Food was simple and cooked to perfection. We will certainly have a ride out to go again.

After two days on a narrow boat on the nearby Trent and Mersey canal I was more than ready for a meal that didn't use precious water washing the dishes afterwards. Mooring at Willington I read the reviews for Kay's Tearoom and Takeout on my Trip Advisor app and that was that. A rainy walk to Kay's from the boat saw me and my parents (who'd been on the boat since Saturday afternoon) in a homely tearoom and the English Breakfast was not only top of the menu but top of our appetites too. The food was lovely, the plates were hot and the cups of tea were very welcome. The price was more than acceptable as well. The loo is up quite a narrow, winding flight of stairs so isn't accessible for those with mobility issues but the public loos are just across the road by the Green Man pub so don't let that put you off going to the tearooms. Mum and Dad took some cakes back to the boat and they looked delicious - huge portion sizes it has to be said. Sadly, I didn't get to partake as I headed back home to Yorkshire after our meal, full and content.

We were staying at the IBIS and decided to go for an early morning walk along the canal and found this unusual tea room/cafe in a village called Willington. Right on the main street but opposite the train station I am sure that some of the customers don't mind the size and must have takeaways. The food looked OK but we were so disappointed we just had tea and coffee and left. Not an ideal setting for a big hearty breakfast.

A reviewer called this little gem 'just an average cafe' I beg to differ. This cafe is a real assett to our village. The staff greet you with a smile, nothing is to much trouble. All the food is home cooked... they even make bread and pizza now ... you can order it. there is a lovely, homely, relaxed and welcoming feel to this place. It is building up a regular clientele who I suspect go for the friendly welcome and sociable ambience as much as the dleicious food. The ladies also outside catering ...they produced faboulous food for my sons birthday party.

I called in just before Christmas in search of some Turkish Delight. Yes they did have some but at a price that was a tad on the expensive side. When I said that it a bit steep, I was offered it at a good discount as "it is Christmas Eve". The quality was excellent and I will make a point of revisiting this place when I'm next in Melbourne
