Was with my son on a boiling day who was exhausted and starving, but on a health kick...saw detox shack and popped in...brulliant chap said leave it with me, and rustled up a superb healthy smoothie and Snack. Saved the day!

This lovely shop caught my eye while walking down the street on my way to a crystal shop. It was the energy it presented and messaged in the window that pulled me in. I flew out here during Corona virus and figured I would travel since school got moved online. So here I am. Sitting in this shop with the lovely owner whom shared his knowledge with me an I shared his. I sat with him for over a hour talking about everything related to holistic health. He made me a juice that was made specifically for me. And it was delicious. I was very pleased with my visit today. Bless. I send love, unity an light your way. :)

After my lunch at the detox earlier I realized that the way to a happy life is with healthy food!After ordering from a very friendly and polite man I was served swiftly. Every bite of the wrap was amazin and unlike a standard chicken wrap after eating this I felt uplifted with energy! The drink I was served was custom made. You can choose any fruit and veg to make a smoothie or juice of your choice! A guilt free, delicious and healthy meal. What's not to like? Highly Recommend!

I left the place feeling very positive! The owner, Yogesh, is all about health and good vibes and that really made it a place worth visiting. Fresh food only and the tastiest juices, all made with love. He really knows his stuff!

What an amazing place!! Loved every second of being in there, juice was beautiful and made me instantly feel energised, the atmosphere was like no other and the guy was full of wisdom! Had a very interesting and relatable convo, get yourself down there!!

Most places that do smoothies and juices use dead fruit, at detox shack everything is fresh and the food is only surpassed by the service. The warmest welcome you will recieve, every day the sun shines here. Most smoothie/juice places use dead fruit & veg (frozen) whereas here you can see, smell and taste that everything is fresh. The prices are even a little less than the dead smoothies you get from chain places. -so great value for money. I really cant stress enough, this place is the best part of Leicester. Fill your day with positivity good food and vibes, even if you just pass by and saying hello, they are really the greatest team, organically winning my heart and my repeat custom. Thank you for being so understanding of my allergies, you really are a breath of fresh air.

Fabulous energy drink and the most wonderfully tasty halloumi wrap- it was truly delicious! Will definitely return on my next visit to Leicester.

I visited today and got a chicken/avocado wrap and a veg/fruit juice. They were both absolutely delicious for a reasonable price !! The owner was so friendly. I will definitely be back

Every time I have been to the Detox Shack I’ve been welcomed so warmly! The food is so tasty and you know you are getting fresh ingredients, the juices are always good and Yogesh will point you to the best one for how your feeling! It’s a fantastic little spot in Leicester.

The Detox Shack’s body boosting effects are instantaneous! The atmosphere is deliberately intended to provide a remedy for the stress of the City. Local, independent and a necessary step in the right direction for Leicester business’ in general. Breakfast or lunch the fresh produce and and tailor made smoothies never fail to hit the spot - this is the spot to hit!

An absolute gem of a place. On a short visit to Leicester, I was sorely in need of some fresh food. It took me a good 15 minutes to find it as I’m not familiar with the city but boy was it worth it. The proprietor is a conjuror of delicious salads, juices and smoothies all tailor made to your needs at the time. All fresh ingredients, prepared in front of you with a magic sprinkle of herbs, spices and dressings. He takes time to get to know you so you feel as if you are leaving as a friend. Were I to live and work in the city, I would be in there daily! It’s full of little post-it-notes to remind us to breathe and take care of ourselves by slowing down and tuning in to our needs. Thank you for giving me space to recharge me as well as my phone! X

The day I was there I had very delicious vegan wrap and great juices. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for healthy and delicious vegan options this place is must looking at.

Healthy food is good. And this salad was bloody great! Halloumi and chick peas with lovely dressing and beetroot etc.

Wide variety of delicious salads, smoothies and wraps. Hot drinks too. Owner works with skill and real passion and will go out of his way to produce something special for regular customers. I requested a vegan cake for a celebration and it was magnificent, and provided with plate and bag for me to carry it home which I returned after using. The cake was extremely popular, a delicious cacao-based dairy and gluten free concoction.

Second time visited here within a week, the owner I believe is very forthcoming and chatty. I can see he's very passionate about his product and what he's selling but maybe dial it down a bit, your not selling fruits at the market. He's very good when asking any questions so helpful. I feel there needs to be less fresh fruit on display or limit what fresh fruits you have because from what I can see a lot of fruits seems to look mouldy. The juice tasted the same as other juice outlets but the one good thing I like about this is how you can create your own with ingredients that are not offered by such outlets. For that reason I'm giving a 4*

A choice of vegan slices, had cherry and almond square with a protein smoothie which was also vegan. Felt full afterwards. Not a cheap snack but I imagine the fresh ingredients are expensive. Would use again

Both branches at the city centre and at University of Leicester are amazing! Adi and Yogs are both very friendly and positive individuals who always try cater to your exact needs by adding or taking away any indgredient to make your perfect smoothie. They use fresh ingredients and don’t dilute your smoothie with ice like other smoothie places do. The peanut butter flap jack is also a must!

There is a detox shack located inside the university of Leicester student union and I go there almost everyday. The juices are made fresh to order and they all taste great. There's also a huge range to choose from and there's a guy there that's always so friendly and talkative, great customer service always.

The Detox shack in Leicester University as well as in town is so healthy convinient and have wonderful customer service. Adi is the man with lots of wonderful suggestions. Also perfect for slow mornings.

I was walking past the cafe on Friday 13 (!) July when I saw the blackboard sign saying "Organic coffee". As an organic believer, I was chuffed! I had an Americano, which was delicious. I'd asked about the organic provenance, and the owner showed me a pack. It wasn't organic. The owner said he'd thought it was, but now realised it wasn't. He didn't seem aware of the legal status of the word "organic" when applied to food or drink for sale. He apologised, and said he'd change the sign. I came back the following Monday. The shop was closed. A sign in the window said "Summer special - organic iced coffee". The blackboard, visible inside the shop still said "organic coffee". Both signs were chalk on blackboard - easy to change. I hate to see traders playing fast and loose with the precious word "organic". I'm going to report it to trading standards. Nice coffee, though.

Me and a friend decided to try some food from this place after walking past several times over the last few years. We ordered a salad box from the menu. The gentleman serving us was incredibly pleasant and answered any questions we had. We were instructed to take a seat in the outdoor seating area whilst he prepared our food. The food was received in a timely manner however we were severely disappointed with the portion size. We paid £4.50 for a salad box, of which the box was only half full. The gentleman who served us also promised us that the salad would be full of flavour as they make their own dressings. When we tasted the salad, it was incredibly bland and tasted as though there were no dressings on the salad at all. This truly felt like a moment where we could've made this salad ourselves at home, that would've been much tastier, and much cheaper. Definitely will not eat here again, as they do not provide value for money.

Tried this place for the first time today having walked past quite a few times.

Superb value for money - huge, delicious salad for a few quid full of cashews and pomegranate for £4 including chicken. It's unbelievable. The juice was delicious and the banana/fig/oat balls were really good. I think a bit of money spent on the prep area would make it all feel a bit slicker and more professional but I expect I'll return. The staff were delightful.

I've been a few times and always have a great meal from The Detox Shack. The staff are very knowledgable and keen to help/customise your food to exactly how you like it. I also think it's great value for money - I usually have a make your own salad for £4. Great vegetarian and vegan options. I suppose at busy times (lunch), you may have to wait a couple of minutes for your food, but it's worth it when it's being made fresh to order in front of you!

Dude there was like super nice and everything, I had no idea what I wanted other than a wrap. This guy makes me one of the best wraps I have ever had, some red pepper, avacado, cous cous, some green leaf stuff and some topping.

I ordered a couple of boxes from this place to be delivered at my place by Deliveroo. The order was placed at 10:47 and expected by 12:15 pm. The food arrived on time which was nice. But the orders were completely mixed up. I had ordered chicken with sweet chilli sauce and halloumi cheese with hummus in 2 boxes. But the sauces were interchanged causing the halloumi to get really soggy. The veggies were mixed up as well. I called them and had a chat with the lady who made the boxes. She said it was very busy at that time, so there might have been a mistake. What didn't feel right was her reluctance when I requested if the boxes could be changed. She mentioned that we would need to call Deliveroo again. On being told very reluctantly that it would take time, I said it's fine. Fortunately, we don't have any food allergies and do acknowledge that mistakes happen, but the attitude of the staff didn't feel right.

This place is an absolute God-send in a street otherwise filled with unhealthy food options for lunch. Freshly made, no scrimping on portions, full of superb quality and uber-healthy but still tasty food, and friendly service. It's the only place I'll go to when in Leicester for work.

As a sufferer of food allergies, I was delighted to be served with a delicious fresh salad and hot drink that I could eat! Staff are friendly and helpful. Only problem for me was the stairs which are not easy for a disabled person to negotiate. Had a great time overall though. Thanks.

I've been Detox Shack a few times now, and have always had a good experience. Their salad boxes are great value and, especially if coupled with one of their smoothies for the meal deal, never fails to leave you full and satisfied! I often leave feeling stuffed!

Today we found another great place to eat in Leicester for Vegans, it's The Detox Shack. There is a good choice for Vegans (see photo of menu) and even meat eaters. Jay had the Vegan feast and I Chorizo, both came with plenty of fresh salad and a choice of one from the carbs and one from the sauces. Liquid refeshment was a fruit drink for Jay and a coffee for me, what a feast it.was. Great value for money, you can eat in or take away. The two young women serving were very friendly and helpful. It is very much cafe style and well worth a visit if you're feeling hungry.

Visited today for lunch- had the Halluomi and a smoothie dining in. It was very busy and the atmosphere was nice and friendly. The guy that served me was great and friendly, the sandwich was pa Jed and tasted great. Get in there and get some good heathy food. A welcome chance to all the processed ready made rubbish on the market.

Detox shack is my new 'go-to' food place in Leicester city centre now. There are lots of great healthy and tasty options and is good value for money.

I ordered a take-out lunch box of halloumi, quinoa and salad with sweet chilli sauce and it was absolutely delicious! Will def make an effort to return.

This is my favourite place for lunch. They do a variety of food such as soups, salads, crepes and wraps. The food is delicious and so fresh and the smoothies are amazing! I highly recommend this place.

We found this great little place a few days ago. I had a sweet chilli wrap. My daughter had a berry pancake with ice - cream, and my partner had a salad box with chicken. It was all very nice. The chap that served us looked and sounded just like Bear Grills it was uncanny. Thank you for the lovely lunch.

This place is a hidden gem of Leicester, the prices are really reasonable and everything is made fresh in front of you. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for something healthy but tasty

The Detox Shack has a lovely charm to it. It offers healthy yet truly scrumptious food for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The hot chocolate is also very tasty and I look forward to eating here again.
