Been for a coffee with a friend coffee was bitter food looked like it had been left for hours, jacket was so dry and stale, bread has mould on it and not much salad and was wilted and slimy staff were rude and more bothered about chatting and doin there own thing when we complained they shrugged and carried on and didnt care i will never go there again

This was our first visit since Covid restrictions have been in place. Hand sanitiser is available as you enter, tables have been spaced to give customers more room. Staff wear visors and tables and chairs are thoroughly cleaned as customers leave. We felt completely safe. The coffee is always to our liking as it is not bitter like some of the other coffee shops in town. Exit is made through a side door and there are more tables in the passageway for those who prefer to eat & drink outside.

I have been in a couple of times a week in the last few weeks . So glad I tried it. Food 'very fresh, everything from nice cakes to a good breakfast, that you can see before you buy, I love their fruit toast

Called for breakfast - excellent service and excellent value as always! Would highly recommend for a quick breakfast visit!

Called in for snacks as it looked welcoming from outside. It was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly. The food was brilliant. I had jacket and beans which came with lots of salad. My hubby had toasted sandwich with filling which also came with plenty of salad. If i had any criticism it would be that my hubby did say that the sandwich was a little small. We definitely recommend this coffee shop which also has some outside seating.

I've visited this cafe on several occasions the past few months. It looked inviting and just that bit different from all the rest on the outside, so I thought I'd give it a try. the decor inside is clean and stylish and welcoming. The staff are lovely and friendly and always greet me with a hello and a smile. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced and tasty. I've tried their paninis, toasted teacakes, sausage butties, hot roast chicken sandwich, and they've all been delicious. The sausage butty and hot roast chicken sandwich were really good value for money. They have a lovely selection of cakes with some different flavour combinations, I don't have a sweet tooth but was tempted by the pistachio and rose cake which was gorgeous. Bowrings has become my favourite cafe to pop into when I'm in town either on my own or with family and friends.

We often call in for lunch, I go for the Panini's, so delicious and freshly made. Staff are polite and friendly, and it is always clean.

Good looking and very fast food, very nice coffee and good atmosphere. We had 2 drinks, jacket potato and sausage and mash (with very good gravy) all for under £15. Highly recommended.

Came here in January with my mum , I must say food was really good , coffee not the best I've tasted but was hot, but the counter area was so untidy , didn't look good

Realmente me gusta este lugar para un almuerzo ligero o una bebida caliente. Los precios son baratos y la comida se sirve siempre como a mi me gusta. Yo hablé en tostado esta semana, pero era pan gruesas granja con un montón de mantequilla y mermelada. El cerdo asado caliente mazorcas son preciosas también y siempre una buena taza de té. Sí creo que podrían limpiar las mesas después de salir más a menudo a los clientes y atención al detalle también botellas de salsa ie limpian, etc. Aunque sigue siendo un lugar agradable y sí volveré de nuevo.

Esto es mucho más que una cafetería. El personal es muy amable y atento. Hablo en un par de veces a la semana. Yo ni siquiera tengo que pedir para mi tipo de café. Lo hacen simplemente cómo me gusta. Que es un americano grande One shot no hay leche. Sus rollitos de salchicha son para morirse. Hecho con la carne de su propia granja. Otros clientes saludar y charlar con usted. If you're sick of fast food rubbish this is the best place to be from kind welcoming staff to good old fashioned tasty good potion sized meals. Definitely one to try next time you're in town! Come here all the time never been disappointed x

Been here twice now for lunch & both experiences were extremely pleasant. Good quality sandwiches which are well presented and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the mocha and flavoured lattes. Staff were friendly, all the tables were occupied and there's generally a friendly atmosphere. It's nice to see such a lovely cafe doing so well in a town which is becoming increasingly run-down and dismal. Hope they continue to thrive!

Visited about 11am today for an early lunch. Cafe was very busy! Nice and clean inside, friendly staff. Normal sort of menu, jackets, hot/cold sandwiches, breakfasts, pie and peas. Okay for veggies but not so much for vegans. Ordered a jacket and beans, which I didn't wait long for at all. Very hot with a generous side salad, which looked beautiful (my only issue being that it had honey and mustard dressing on - I don't eat honey so just ate the undressed bits and stashed the rest for my pets - waste not and all that!) The staff probably would have changed it but they were busy so I didn't ask, and my jacket was plenty. The toilets are also really good - modern and spotlessly clean with a baby change. Although the cafe itself isn't the best for people with physical disabilities ( a few steps here and there but that's the building not the proprieters) the toilets do have an alarm call system. Overall a nice lunch at a good price.

The standard of decoration is high. The facilities are very good. The staff are friendly and pleasant giving extra special service. The food is tasty and nicely served good value for money. The coffee is a good quality brought to the table. Always a pleasant experience.

We then opted for the home made banoffe pie which was delicious , washed down with a tea and latte for under £15. You can't go wrong. They use fresh good quality ingredients . I suggest that the people who have placed bad reviews on here about the prices and portions are maybe better suited to greggs!

in the past I had a nice bacon and brie panini but I decided on a hot roast pork sandwich this visit. I walked and placed my order to be told we don't have any pork left. In fact we don't have any hot meat left. This was 12 20pm and seemed a bit strange for a cafe with boards advertising it running out so early. I opted for a coffee and then left.

Been going in Bowrings ever since it opened, everything about this cafe is excellent.Lyn & her staff are lovely they make you feel so welcome, we don't use anywhere else in Worksop as this is the best.

Went back to this coffee house as it was a nice clean place and friendly but was very disappointed. ordered a tuna & mayo sandwich and a jacket potato with tuna and coleslaw. I asked for the sandwich to be buttered and was assured this would be done when the sandwich arrived it was not buttered and had a hair on it took it back told them that there was a hair on it and no butter. All that was said is will put some butter on it when it was returned one slice had been buttered and the hair removed their was no apology not even a sorry for what had happened will not be going in there again

Ordered a toastie, came in 2 half's, 4 Doritos, small salad. Small coleslaw. Presentation was good, it was very poor. Did not fill me up. Not worth £5.

Had a roast chicken sandwich and a mocha! Lovely little place great for a catch up and a coffee with friends! Would Defo go again!

One to avoid. Visited three times, ignored by the staff, no eye contact or smiles when entering and at the counter,.as I waited to be served. There were enough staff to serve me, or at least give me eye contact. Felt I was invisible and my custom was not appreciated. Will not visit again, Very unfriendly. Not recommended.

Always loved coming here but now not so much. Girl with hair in the bun always seems uninterested in communication with me or too busy talking to another staff member about how 'drunk' she had gotten the previous weekend. Not a conversation customers want to hear if I'm honest. Will return as the food is lovely but this concerns me as all other staff are so welcoming and chatty

Whether breakfast, brunch, lunch or tea this place is great!friendly and helpful staff, well thought out menu extremely tasty food and good prices. It's spotlessly clean and comfortable. Fast service. You can taste the care and attention to detail in everything they make.

The first time we came here I gave it a 5 rating and deservedly so . The quality of food ,service and the ambience of the café/restaurant remained the same .However I had the steak pie and peas and in terms of quality was very good but I felt the portion of pie I got was about 40% smaller than on our last visit . When we left I had a quick look at the big pie it had been cut from which was on show . Whoever cut this needs a lesson in measurement . Some portions were 50% smaller than others . Were they saving these for special customers or themselves ?We were in a rush so I did not complain . We will come back because we really like the place but I will be looking at if the pie has been cut fairly before we order lol .We visited on Tues 14 / 7/15 at around 1pm

Roast pork sandwiches to die for. Lovely staff and good service. Smart clean environment . All the meat is supplied through the local filmy butcher. Snacks are great scones tea cakes so light. Highly recommended.

Me and my friend visited today and had hot chocolates and breakfast, this place do the best hazelnut hot chocolate in the world :-)

We visited here for coffees and cakes mid afternoon. The place is clean and tidy and the staff pleasant and helpful.On to the cakes, they all seemed home made and they were absolutely delicious.The banoffee tart was ousing with filling and the carrot cake full of taste.... according to my wife who scoffed the lot without even a taste for me!Definately worth a visit for the cakes...

Quick visit for flavoured lattes (one butterscotch and one gingerbread). Had a giant scone with cream and jam. Affordable, tasty and good value

We popped in to this cafe while in town (2 adults & 2 children under 3) - we had 2 breakfasts, 2 sausage rolls, toast & jam, 2 teas & fruit shoots. It was so reasonably priced & all of the food was fresh produce & cooked beautifully. We will definitely return - it was fabulous experience! Thank you. :)

Everything seemed to be very competitively priced. I've certainly paid more for the same elsewhere. The staff were friendly and efficient enough. Only slight criticism was that my flat white was more of a latte and not strong enough. Fruit toast was very nice though.

I regularly take my Mum for coffee and this has become one of our favourite places. The coffee is so good, as is the food and service. Lovely ladies.On my last visit I had to double check items had not been missed off my order as I was surprised at the total price.Will be back, and look forward to it!

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat, staff are warm and welcoming and service was good, food made quickly. Choice of seating inside and a few seats outside which opted for as the sun was shining. At the back of the shop is a sofa area for a comfy seat also .Food came, basic nice and to order.They have hot roasts meats so we had those on cobs,one chicken, one pork.2 drinks came to around £7. Environment clean and tidy.Didn't use toilets so can't comment. Would definitely visit again as stands out amongst the greasy spoon type cafes on Bridge Street.

Been in when we have visited Worksop and have never been disappointed. Great little coffee shop right in the middle of the High Street. Good variety of food and always excellent quality. A must place to visit when you are in the area. Well Done.

We nipped into this coffee shop for a coffee and a quick sandwich for lunch on a cold, wintery Monday morning in January. We saw the meat pie with peas dish being served to another table and the thought of sandwiches went out of the window! The meat in the pies was delicious and well cooked, the pastry was gorgeous, the mint sauce topped off this unlikely find. The coffees we ordered were lovely - and great value to boot! What a great place! The waitress was friendly and welcoming. I don't know what happened in the review below but we definitely didn't get a hostile welcome - quite the opposite. I'd be more than happy to recommend this place, and next time we're in the area we're definitely going back!.

Undoubtedly this cafe was one my favourites. But after this visit I doubt I will be returning. I thought it closed at 3pm, but on the door it said 4pm. Therefore, we decided to go in 45 minutes before closing time. We were not greeted with smiles. Coffees and food just slammed on the table. No thank you or goodbye. Didn't even finish our drinks and decided to go. Wasn't worth sat feeling uncomfortable. I could understand if we came in 5 minutes before closing. But we only ordered drinks and cake!

my first impression of this place was clean, tidy, staff was friendly.We were shown to a seat straight away, yes, service excellent. my husband and I could not fault the meal it was well presented and tasty. would definitely go back.

We sometimes visit Worksop on market days and have walked past this place several times without frequenting . Yesterday we went in for a coffee !When we saw the food on offer we could not resist and opted for roast pork , stuffing and apple sauce sandwich which was excellent . I had more meat on the sandwich than what I would have for a Sunday dinner ! Good meat that was cooked really well ,for me , I would have had a bit more seasoning - But this is my personal choice and would not detract from a " Job well done"The coffee was really nice too .Next time we are going to try a pannini or the meat pie as we saw a few being served and they looked brill .Service was excellent , throughout , and I'm looking forward to another market day down Worksop because I know where I'm going !

Popped into for a bacon roll and tea which was served up on a nice square white plate I found the café spotless and the price was reasonable. They have a good selection of food and coffees. If its busy they set up tables in lane outside which is quite nice when the sun is out. So, if you haven’t tried Bowrings give it a go.

Popped in for a coffee and panini. The panini was served on a wooden platter with a beautiful little dressed salad, tortillas and coleslaw , what a delight a feast for the eyes. Such detail to presentation and tasty food is a winning combination. The only thing that could be improved is a larger selection of cakes not of the pre packed variety .

we just called in this coffee shop for a quick bite to eat and really delighted that we did. The staff were really friendly and polite and the place itself was really clean the food was presented well and it was nice somebody had ordered steak pie peas and gravy that looked very enticing will be having that next time we visit

Visited for the first time today, chosen as it looked inviting and the food looked nice when passing. We both had a panini and loved them. Excellent presentation and flavour. Had decided on a jacket potato but when I saw another customer's panini arrive I thought it looked great so changed. We also bought a muffin to share but we were so full we had to ask for it to take out. We're looking forward to that treat later. Next time we're in worksop we'll be back.

This is a nice place to pop in for either a cuppa and cake or a light lunch.Have popped in here on a few occasions when I really don't have loads of time but want more than a take away pasty or such like.Friendly, bustling and busy I always feel lucky to find a quiet table where I can sit on my own rather than share with other customers.Seems especially popular with mums and young children as they have room for their buggies at the tables.

My favourite cafe in town. Been a couple of times, and undoubtedly loved it. The paninis are delicious and the cream scones are amazing! Will be returning many times in the future. The only fault of the place is there isn't any music... therefore the atmosphere isn't that amazing as I feel people can hear my conversations etc.

Good food and excellent service. Bright decor and cosy corner at the back with settees etc. Quick and friendly service. Good value as well. Definitely recommend if you're in Worksop and need a coffee or lunch.

Great friendly café, located on the main shopping stress. Within a 2 minute walk of most shops and on market days in the heart of the market. I only had cake and a drink, however the cake was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free Wi-Fi was also a bonus.

After searching the whole of Worksop for a cafe to visit we decided that this cafe looked the best. On entering the staff were friendly, with amazing cakes and drinks on offer.
