we have recently purchased a holiday home at torksey lock,are local pub is the white swan run by julie and neil ,who are very welcoming to all.we hace eaten here twice now and have been overwhelmed by the portions of home cooked food you get for the price it is absolutely fantastic,it is hard to recommend a dish because we went as a group of 6 and each one of us raved about our own dishes.we will definitely be eating there again and again

Excellent food and friendly staff...The best pub restaurant I have been in for many a year...Congrats to all.....and I will be going back in the near future..

Este restaurante escondido, excéntricamente decorado fue una sorpresa encantadora. Ambos comimos carne para el plato principal: se cocinó exactamente a nuestra especificación (medio raro) y fue uno de los mejores - degustación que hemos tenido. Esto lo describí a la habilidad de Victor Vella para sacar el mejor provecho de sus platos sin elaboración innecesaria, y su uso de los mejores productos locales disponibles: las verduras, en particular las patatas, tenían un sabor distinto y delicioso. Mi esposa estaba muy contenida y no tenía pudín. Yo, por otro lado, tenía una versión maravillosa de pan y mantequilla, que era una delicia. El precio del almuerzo era absurdamente bajo (Victor está en peligro de engañarse a sí mismo, y debería subir sus precios). Una comida muy memorable por todas las razones correctas.

Tuvimos almuerzo, excelente comida, personal encantador, gran elección en el menú y a un precio razonable, sin duda volveremos en un futuro próximo

Arrived late on a Sunday not pre-booked Host was lovely and explained turkey had finished on the menu Chef was lovely and the food was delicious

I took my partner out here a few weeks ago and had the best time. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely stunning. I was served by Karina and Sam, who were absolute stars. This time around I had the plant based burger, such a gem to see good vegetarian options. I will definitely be returning ☺️💙

Excellent pub. Friendly staff and excellent gluten free options. Best lemon drizzle cake I've had in years! Highly recommend.

Otra gran comida. Una cálida bienvenida y deliciosa comida que prepararemos y presentaremos. Tres platos y vino por 74 libras. Qué más se puede pedir. Muy recomendable

Superb place amazing food and brilliant staff

Fuimos a una de las ofertas. Mi almuerzo fue genial y el servicio amable. Es encantador pub acogedor. Las comidas fueron servidas rápidamente y el personal atento.

Had a carvery here a couple of days ago the food was absolutely shocking. The amount of food they cooked that was just left out was horrendous there was so much food and barley anyone in the restaurant why cook so much food for it just to be left out for so many hours for it just to go cold. It’s just ridiculously. The carvery from here was just disgusting it was un edible the meat was very over cooked , chewy and just out right cold. The food was just cold and basically inedible. Spent a while waiting for a table when booked for a certain time and there was barely anyone in the restaurant. Really unhappy with the quality and the service of the food from this establishment. Won’t be eating here again anytime soon it was horrible.

Very average! Service was alright, food was alright, general ambience was alright. Main problems were the lack of roast dinner by 16.30! And rather stingy portion sizes when it came to the chicken melt. The lasagne and ribs were better portioned.

Nice food, better than most pub grub we've experienced recently. Good service and pleasant staff. Definitely visit again.

Wrong drink and wrong breakfast roll. Driver was great.
