I have never eaten here before it had.. Amazing food, friendly, attentive service. Great selection of wines. Best food I have eaten for a long time. An absolute gem. Will be back x x

The food was brilliant, the portions were really great and it was super tasty. Nicole was our server and she was lovely! Balanced the plates very well!

Delightful place! Met by lovely staff who showed us to a nice table and a fabulous menu. Karina, Max and Aimee looked after us very well. We had Aperol Spritz - (made as good as I’ve had in Italy). Steak and Malbec pie was delicious. a full individual pie, piping hot and very tasty. No room for pud for us ; but had a lovely coffee to end a lovely meal in a very special pub restaurant. Being from Australia, I appreciate the detail of the decor of this huge building and keeping with traditional look. It was complimented by the warmth of the lovely staff. Visiting in December would be a dream time for me to return. Definitely recommended. Thank you.

Lovely date night, shared the cheese doughnuts for a starter and they were scrumptious. Good atmosphere and cocktails were great! Erin and Sam served us, and they were attentive and helped us with our needs! Will be back soon to try more of the menu.

Had high hopes after reading recent reviews but arrived tonight no one serving waited a while for staff to emerge to get a drink had a few drinks and just as we were about to order food we were told the table we were sat at was booked so had to move

The once lovely Rams Head has become a trap for the unwary tourist who is ambushed. They don't use food in their meals. Mean doesn't cover it. 3 prawns for £13.75. If they think we are stupid then we will get them closed down. Doing the tourist industry a service. A one off visit. Hospitality ambush. I would expect £1000.00 compensation to pay back our humiliation and to see what it is like to pay money for nothing. Where was the chalk board? Where are the specials and two for ones? Where are the scallops, the avocados, artichokes, the Lancashire Hot Pot? Where are the food festivals, local produce? The specialist shops next door have local provisions. No links. No training. No management, just underpaid school leavers.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Very attentive and friendly staff. Amelie was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Good value for money.

I have been here a few times and it really doesn’t disappoint. The staff all seemed super friendly and Jack was particularly helpful and knowledgable when asking him lots of questions about the drinks menu. Overall a great pub and I can’t wait to go back

Stopped by the rams head when on a course to a business meeting and I must say the food and service was excellent the scallops starter accompanied by the beef croquettes was incredible top marks to the team

Took the kids for breakfast for the Halloween Brunch. It was fantastic, they looked after the kids with crafts and pumpkin carving while I enjoyed breakfast with my friends. Can't wait to go back for Brunch with Santa. The staff are so great with the kids and the food is delicious. A rare but fantastic combination.

Had Sunday lunch here, the food was excellent and the service was great, thank you Sam. I only had one issue, the area reserved for dogs is tiny. It's only about 3m x 4m and the tables are very close together. When we were there, at least 7 dogs were squished in there which wasn't ideal. However as this is a problem which won't effect everyone, I've left my rating at 5.

Ordered roasts. We waited a long time for the food, when it came the Yorkshire pudding looked like it had been waiting on the side for hours, roast potatoes looked deep fried, pork belly belly fatty, served with a very small portion of greens which were undercooked and a single carrot . Expensive and really disappointing

Visited last night and had a lovely meal, spit roasted chicken was delicious and sides were also good. We were served by a lovely lady I think she was called Amber and also Jack who we often see in there and is always welcoming and even remembers our drink order. Lovely cozy pub.

Can not fault The Rams Head and how much it has improved in the last few years. The staff can’t do enough for you and the food just keeps getting better. We love visiting whenever we can and are always greeted with a warm welcome.
