Visited the place for first time after going through a lot of good reviews, well the atmosphere and service is not bad at all but the food was not up to the mark. The level of spices were completely imbalance and ended up no taste of food but a spices to try.

If you are a connoisseur of shawarma, this is a truly special establishment that warrants a visit. The shawarma is consistently fresh and absolutely delightful. To avoid any waiting, it is advisable to call ahead and place your order. Additionally, do not miss the opportunity to sample their mixed pickles, which are among the finest available.

Visited with a group of friends and children. Atmosphere was friendly & welcoming. Drinks were good but the latte just tastes like semi skimmed hot milk! It was a take away so couldn’t approach anyone to give feedback. Definately as others have stated, they need barista training. I asked for a “wet” latte and she asked, what’s one of those? Surely if your a trained barista and know your coffee you’d know a “wet latte”. Cold drinks are ok and food is nice but very pricey for what it is. We would go back but not for a coffee!!

My husband and I were visiting Leicester and chose this restaurant by chance. The owner made us very welcome and the chicken Karachi was absolutely divine. Made fresh and full of flavour. We have dined in many top restaurants and would say you could not get better food there. Somewhat lacking in atmosphere as we were the only diners but the food made up for that. Do not be put off by the limited menu because you know you will get a freshly made dish. We will definitely go there again when we are next in Leicester.

It’s a shame this place has such limited hours (only 5–10:30 PM), because the food is truly outstanding, flavourful, well-spiced, and expertly cooked. The chicken is tender and juicy, never dry or chewy, and the seasoning is perfectly balanced. That said, the dining experience has a few quirks. The space feels uncomfortably cramped, with tables and chairs packed tightly together, making it borderline claustrophobic. While the modern decor and African art give the restaurant a vibrant, cultural vibe, the overcrowded layout might make you think twice about eating in. Another odd moment: when picking up my order around 9:30–10 PM, I found multiple staff members gathered at the front desk, which felt a bit overwhelming. It wasn’t clear who to speak to, as everyone chimed in at once. Still, none of these issues take away from the incredible food. If you’re looking to explore bold, African inspired flavours, this place is absolutely worth a visit, just maybe for takeout. Despite the quirks, the outstanding cuisine makes it easy to overlook the rest.
