Saints of Mokha in Leicester

i understand the ruling of no outside food, however one of the the owners lacks basic customer service, extremely rude.

Amazing coffee and service. Been coming here for years and love it every time. Without exaggeration, it’s the reason I’ve come to love drinking coffee today and have never looked back

I came across this cafe in town over the weekend & decided to give it a try for brunch. The cafe had enough staff on but appeared to be struggling to cope. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 meals, the waiter told us food would be a 15-20 minute wait. It was not. 40 minutes had gone by, I asked a guy who was clearing a table near by to check but he didn’t come back to explain what was happening. I then popped down stairs and saw our food on the side so didn’t ask again, as I expected it to come shortly. 10 minutes later a waiter brought us the food, without cutlery so disappeared again. Within this time I found another waiter & complained about how cold my food was and an hour wait for pancakes and eggs royale was a bit extreme. He replied with ‘yes I can see how this is a devastating experience’, I thought the word choice was funny!! He hesitantly took it off me and I received a replacement 15 minutes later. When my meal finally arrived, it was pretty standard. The coffee was really good, I highly recommended the s’mores latte. However, if you want brunch I’d recommend to visit KAI as 1h10 for a small plate is highly unacceptable.

The cosiest place with lovely staff and incredible treats you can’t find anywhere else. Saints is elite! Their coconut mocha and luna latte are everything you need in a day to turn it around.

Visited on recommendation by a friend, but probably wouldn’t visit again. The cafe itself is very very small (only 4 tables) so it was hard to socially distance. The menu didn’t have any prices on which was a bit confusing (also we’re students and are living on a budget). We ordered 3 different speciality lattes, the halloumi burger, a panini and the Dutch pancakes with Lotus biscoff. Our orders were surprisingly expensive, with my order of mini pancakes and a latte totalling nearly £12. Service at the till was friendly and appreciated. However, we waited over 30mins from ordering for our drinks to be served which we thought was unreasonable since the cafe only had 3 other tables (and only 2 were occupied). The drinks were well presented and very aesthetic, but lacked in any flavour whatsoever - I ordered the matcha latte and it was literally warm milk with a bit of matcha powder, which usually has a strong taste but they must have used about 1/2 tsp so was disappointed. The other lattes which I did not try may have been better. The pancakes were good and there was a fair amount (I want to say “worth the price” but I don’t know how much they were so can’t judge). The panini was very very standard - as if I made it in my own kitchen in 5mins. The halloumi burger was bland and not very pleasing to look at. Overall the cafe has a nice aesthetic and is cute for couples/small groups, nice for a one time visit, but is super overpriced and overhyped imo so definitely won’t be visiting again.

This is one of the coolest coffeeshops in Leicestershire. The food and vibe is great as well as the service. Had some crazy flavours like cherry blossom, luna latte and red velvet which are all carefully curated by the owner.

One of my favourite places to visit in Leicester. Not far from the translation and the atmosphere is beautiful!

The friendly people who run this place really love their coffee and take enormous care and attention to get everything right. Everything has been considered including the decor, music, and food. It's not a big place and sometimes hard to find a seat because it's so busy. I live on the other side of the city and rarely manage to come by but it's always a lovely place to go, with a relaxing atmosphere.

Red velvet coffee is delicious,always wary of coffee as used to the big chains, costa etc,but I could drink this all day ‘ Dutch pancakes just right to go with it!

I went here and they provided me with a red velvet - it was truly exquisite and I highly recommend it - they even cater for allergies such as milk - coffee so good it should be illegal !❤️

A beautiful find in the busy area that it is located in. Friendly staff and their red velvet lattes are unbelievable. Will be back soon.

I was recommend to a photograph of this place on Instagram and thought I had to visit! Seeing it was in Leicester I was surprised, but was visiting a friend anyway in a few weeks so made sure we had a look during my stay. She had never heard of it, and we were the only two people in there when it opened at 11am on a Saturday. In London, this place would be heaving and extremely popular. The young boys who seemed to be running it were very sweet and I hope they go far with the place, get more recognition and maybe move somewhere people will recognise it!

Great Red velvet Latte. Would recommend and will come again. Nice vibe to the place , friendly staff, decent pricing too.

I ordered a red velvet latte which looked beautiful and tasted great. Although the latte was very sickly sweet, it was tasty and would have again. My boyfriend got a Mokha and very much enjoyed and it was also beautifully poured. The inside is small and doesn’t allow dogs which is sometimes an inconvenience but all in all a great visit.

The coffee is delicious here and the staff are friendly and helpful. I love their selection of unique coffees and their iced latte is so good!

I’ve been wanting to visit for many months & finally got a chance to this morning. Thankfully I was not disappointed - went for the Sakura Latte & it was a dream to drink this morning!! So much so I had to write the review.... there is a selection of foods. Only shame is that it is a small little shop - which made it hard for us to sit and work with laptops & had to move else where. Otherwise I feel as though I would have worked my way down the menu!! Will definitely be going back to try some of the other drinks too.

As a self-proclaimed coffee explorer, I tend to find you either get good coffee or good advice and seldom both- Saints of Mokha most definitely bucks that trend. The kindness and professionalism delivered by Omar and his team is fantastic and their food and drink is superb. I often find myself drinking coffee alone and when the staff, as they do at Saints, really show an interest in you as a person and not only your wallet it warms my heart. I'll be sure to come back and implore others to visit- a hidden gem in a saturated market!

This little gem is run by the friendliest, most welcoming people you will ever be served by and the owner's knowledge of coffee is second-to-none, having won awards as a barista and as a young entrepreneur. The latte art is breathtaking and there are so many tempting cakes and smoothie bowls to go with your drink. They also do a great range of teas and hot chocolates. Now that I have discovered this place, I don't bother with anywhere else, especially not the faceless chain shops in town.

I had a fruit bowl, which was great, but I don't recommend it during colder days. Even though I normally don't drink coffee, i decided to try one of their famous mochas and I can tell it was good. :) Service is nice and polite.

Visited SOM for the first time today. I was shocked to find out this amazing place has been open for 3 years as I only heard about it recently and I have walked past it so many times!!! I had heard good reviews from friends who had visited and also from checking out their instagram page. I must say the visit definitely didn't disappoint. From the moment we walked in I was made to feel very welcome. Everyone was very friendly and the place has a very cosy feel to it. Then came the best and most anticipated part. The food and of course the coffee. It is great to see someone who is so into their craft and fully understands coffee. I don't normally like having Latte but I had to try theirs and it was amazing. The food and the cake were also very fresh and delicious. Fair to say I will definitely be going back very soon. Just a shame it's an hour away from where I live. I will also be trying their roasted coffee beans as soon as I'm done with my current bag.

Let me just start this off by saying i am in love with this place! The range in their menu is amazing and their coffees are simply the best around. Ever since a friend introduced me to their place I have never stopped visiting every day. The cafe itself is perfect for all sorts of occasion, whether it be a date, a meeting or even just a coffee alone while getting some work done. The service from Omar is amazing and he never fails to start your day off right. Keep up the good work guys!

Granted this is a small coffee shop, but I was greeted at the door and told that I wasn’t allowed in as I had a pushchair with me. I wasn’t given chance to offer to fold it up. I was offered a takeaway, but had specifically waited for the shop to open for breakfast. I’m gutted as I’d heard good things, but won’t be returning. It’s not remotely family friendly, has no high chairs and it was suggested that I bring my child in an infant car seat - she’s 18 months old!!!! Very disappointing

While on a short visit to Leicester, we searched for good coffee. Fortunately, we stumbled across Saints of Mokha. We had the best cappuccinos that we've ever had in the UK: hot, strong, not too milky, and no sprinkles. (We are Americans, and frequently disappointed with British espresso drinks, which are generally too weak, too milky and too chocolatey because we forget to request "no sprinkles".) They were so good, we made a detour to come back the next day. Very good coffee and very friendly, competent staff. Highly recommended.

A small but lovely independent café, offering brunch/lunch food & a range of hot drinks, including a selection of teas & specialty, colourful lattes (luna latte, black velvet latte, rose latte, matcha latte & the delicious red velvet latte). Dairy-free milks are available & food items can also be adapted for a vegan diet. We visited for brunch on a Saturday morning & ordered three red velvet lattes (made with oat milk), the avocado toast (minus cream cheese) & two pink berry smoothie bowls (made with almond milk). Although service was a bit slower than in a chain coffee shop, this was due to the care & attention the staff paid to preparing our order; our drinks arrived with impressive cat-shaped latte art (!) & all our food was beautifully presented. Our order of three hot drinks & three food dishes came to around £24 overall – pretty reasonable value for money when you consider how generous & filling the smoothie bowls were & the overall care taken to make our order. I’ll definitely return if I’m in the area to test out some more of the menu.

Visited with a friend today, staff is so friendly and service is quick and amazing, drinks are exquisite and the brownie is even better. I one thousand percent recommend!

Cost cafe in Leicester, situated close to town centre and train station. Very professional and friendly staff who take pride in their craft. Highly recommended.

I do like this place. The staff try really hard to please. My only criticism is that the coffee could be hotter, but that’s probably my fault for not asking for it to be made hotter and for that reason I can’t mark the score down which is a well deserved and strong 5 stars. The food choice is limited and that is to be expected for somewhere of the size, you can’t expect them to be making soufflés and whole roast meals! The desserts are nice. I have not tried the bowl things (I think they’re called smoothie bowls or something) but I’ve seen people eating them and they look quite yummy and will have to try one! The cafe is really cosy and a bit like something out of a tv sitcom. It’s nice to sit there with friends gossiping or even alone reflecting over a delicious coffee. I am certain that most people in the area would have visited this place at one time or other. The young chap that makes the coffee is both cute and quirky in a quiet sort of way, extremely likeable, he is usually so busy creating little works of art that he serves up in a cup. This is one of those places that you can just step back from the hectic pace of daily life and just slow down and reflect or chat with friends. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. I usually ask the chap to make me whatever he thinks is good at the time and he is never wrong, he seems to have a bizarre coffee Jedi ability (the force is strong in this one lol) to serve up a delicious something or other!!!

Good choice of coffees at a good price (well worth the walk from the big chains in town!) Service can be a little slow as the owner/barista does every single cup himself, with so much attention & care. Nice flavour. Food items are nice too. Will be back & try all of their specialty lattes & teas!

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and high quality food and drinks. I tried the chicken panini and it was so tasty, I also tried different types of coffee. Absolutely the best in Leicester.

Had a super little brunch and probably the best coffee I have ever had. Saints of Mokka is a relaxed independent coffee house with retro/industrial decor and a very friendly atmosphere. The owners are super welcoming and friendly but more than that they are artists when it comes to the coffee. The range of coffee on offer is really interesting and not like any I had seen before I am sure the teas would be just as great. The food is simple but really tasty and made with care and attention to detail. All in all a really special little place.

The house blend is nice but the seasonal blend is absolutely amazing! The owner is very friendly and also very knowledgeable which was really nice to see.

The thing I like the most about Saints of Mokha is how friendly the owners/staff are and the amazing atmosphere they create. They make you feel like a valued and special customer. The coffee shop is small but so quaint inside; a lovely cosy place to spend some time. The presentation of the food and drinks is also amazing. I would recommend Saints of Mokha to anyone and most definitely go back!

Located at the top of Evington Road in Leicester, I regularly visit SOM for my caffeine fix. Great location able to seat and cater for a large amount of people. I regularly visit here with friends and family and each experience is perfect. You get welcomed into the family upon arrival with a large range of wonderful coffee, tea, hot chocolate, brownies, cakes, cookies, panini's and more. On my first visit, I was explained the menu so well and the choice was so good. I always go for the vanilla latte, bursting with flavours and design that's Instagram worthy. Prices are excellent, the cafe is always clean and tidy and flavours so great you wouldn't think of going anywhere else. I feel at home here, always a regular and will be forever. 11/10 for everything. I've been lucky enough to visit many cafe's around the world however Saints Of Mokha is by far the best. I love this place! 100% reccomend and also get the Vanilla Latte!!

I will break down my review into 4 categories: Appearance, Service, Quality and Facilities.

I found out about Saints last June and was intrigued and decided to go with my friends - and I’m so glad I did! The coffee is to die for and so smooth- definitely the best cup of coffee in Leicester without a doubt, and every cup is hand poured and created by the owner Omar who is always so smiley and happy to have a chat with you and help (when he’s not making these amazing coffees of course) the snacks and cakes are really good too and the place has free WiFi which is always useful as I go there to study sometimes.

Great atmosphere and great drinks, the coffee art is just amazing and the icing on the cake!! Can’t wait to go back!

Visited this coffee shop yesterday on recommendation from my father who lives locally (we are from Kent). What a lovely little place, great atmosphere with a real welcoming community feel from a father & son team. Omar is very talented, his coffee is amazing & the designs he can make into your cup are unlike any I have seen before. All this and much cheaper than a bland Costa chain establishment. Shout out to Sabir who was on hand as an excellent waiter & who also brought comedy to our visit. We will be back again soon.

This cafe has everything going for it, it’s super cute and quirky. Great customer service from people who are passionate about coffee. The range of hot drinks are to die for, I’m forever stuck for choice as I want them all.

Absolutely love this place! Such a cosy and welcoming place to catch up with your friends. They have a variety of drinks. A few food options but it's all lovely. The boys that work there are ever so friendly and efficient. I'd love for it to be bigger and have a larger food menu.

As soon as i walked into this cafe, it hit me. Everything about it was somehow perfect. The menu was rich in choice and had a drink and snack perfect for every occasion. Whether you are looking for a quick drink and bite or a filling meal. I'd 100% recommend this to anyone who's looking for a family outing or even a solo visit.

Fell in love with the place as soon as I walked in. I wanted something appropriate for breakfast and they had cookies, croissants or a smoothie bowl. Opted for the smoothie bowl apprehensively, expecting just a bowl of mushed fruits blended with ice. The presentation was too cute so eased off some of the apprehension. However, tucking into it there was a generous layer of granola which gave it a pleasant crunch! So top marks for that! The coffee was really good.. I'm a bit of a sweet tooth so let the host decide what was good and coffee was just as enjoyable.

Owners were super friendly, coffee was great and the brownies were huge, can't recommend enough!

Almond shot latte, perfect for winter. This is a family run business that recently opened around six months ago and already they're quite popular within their area. I had the pleasure of speaking to Omar who made our drinks and you can sense the passion he has towards coffee. If I lived any closer I'd return repeatedly to try out all the other drinks on their menu. Definitely recommend this place over your traditional Costa or Starbucks. It tastes better, it's more appealing and better for your wallet too.

place owners built and run this little cosy little cafe, which brings a new vibe into the hood. I live around the corner since a while and would have wished them to be there from the beginning. The guys in the cafe are very attentive and truly love serving their customers a good cup of cafe or tee. They are there for a chat if you want or you can bring your computer or book if you just wanna hang out and read. For those who come in hungry they have some great cakes and sandwiches. Prices are very reasonable. Love this place!!
