Nice food, all freshly made. Each dish is full of flavours. Good drinks option as well. No issues with customer service. Obviously, parking in the area is challenging. Apart from that, all good 👍🏼 👌🏻.

Not often I post online, but this is an exception well deserved. The food was Amazing.... fresh, plentiful and excellent value. The Korean Wings were next level. Don't let the white light put you off. Would highly recommend eating here.

My partner and I live outside of Leicester but make sure we travel here just for Uncle Js. With such a variety of food spots on Evington road it’s hard to stand out but Uncle Js does just that. Catering for my self a meat lover and my partner who is a vegetarian. Staff are very helpful and welcoming to all questions and recommendations….the signature CRACK chips speaks for its self. One of the few places that claim to be indo-Chinese and live up to the name.

Visited earlier today and was greeted by friendly staff who ensured we were fully taken care of. They provided samples to try and the food was well cooked and extremely tasty! Great place for a quick snack or a hearty meal! Definitely recommend!

I placed the order online for Uncle J’s. I received a phone call telling me to collect my order in 20 minutes. I arrived at the store to collect my order and waited 15 minutes After that at the counter, I was told my food was going to take another 10 minutes. My order was then cancelled and when I had called to discuss the matter, the phone was cut off by the store staff I was trying to explain also when my mother called whilst she was explaining she was also cut off terrible customer service lost a customer who’s been buying food from here for over 2 years

I've eaten at Uncle J's at least 3 times now and a review is overdue, I can safely say the food is great, especially when you're feeling for something indo-Chinese. Great meal deals price wise and the food was very popular with my kids too. I will say be careful when choosing heat level for food as it can get quite hot. Personal faves were the crispy beef and chicken 65 dishes, amazing flavours for sure. Added bonus was the bubble tea variety that was on offer, this just made the evening perfect for the kids especially. Looking forward to my next visit.

I’ve been a regular at Umcle J’s for a while now, and they never disappoint! The Indo-Chinese food always hits the right spot with just the right level of spice. Whether I’m in the mood for something familiar or looking to try something new, they always sort me out. Today, I asked if I could try their new donner, and without any hesitation, they made it happen. It’s that kind of service and attention that keeps me coming back. If you’re after flavour-packed, spicy dishes and a team that’s always willing to go the extra mile, Umcle J’s is the place to be!

Travelled from Sheffield after seeing this place on tiktok. Absolutely blown away by the food. Every single thing we had was flavourful and cooked to perfection. Most places get away with pairing regular noodles and saucy chicken and selling it as indo chinese, which we still enjoy. However This place is on another level, each dish, particularly the beef, has a depth to the flavouring. The prawns were massive and packed full of flavour with beautiful breading and sauce. Seasonings on point, you can really taste the care that has gone into crafting these recipes. Absolute fire, came with a group of friends and we were all glad we made the 2 hour trek and would definitely come again. Wish these guys were closer to home but it was well worth it. Definitely recommend

I thought this is a nice addition to the halal food scene in Leicester. Ordered as takeout, I thought the food was ok. It is quite greasy so do bare that in mind. Portions are a little smaller than expected when ordered for delivery.

I came in looking for a different restaurant, however I was pleasantly surprised by the first and foremost the quality and tastiness of the food; but also the warm welcome and service of the staff (particularly Hassan, Owais). I would definitely recommend this place again and again. If you don’t try it out you are missing out.

First time, I tried this place and must say i was very pleased. The brother was very attentive and helpful. Service was super, the food was served with no delay, piping hot, nice dishes that suits the theme of Uncle J's. The food was tasty, perfect flavours, I was very impressed with the cracked chips! We had the meal for 2 and got a portion of Grilled prawns from their Grill menu. Decent portions, flavours on point. Will be back again and again 😊 10/10

Our search for noodles on evington Road led us to this surprising find. Great options to choose from, it’s 2 restaurants in one (indochinese and American grill). We tried a few options from both but were slightly disappointed by the steak and chips. Noodles and sweet and sour/ tempura prawns were delicious. The battered prawns were cooked just right and were huge! And plenty per portion. Prices are great too. Will be back to try more

Staff were incredibly helpful, helped us pick out the flavors of the meat and what was popular. Food did not let us down, perfect portions and tasted incredible. Would definitely come again.

The [chicken 65 medium, chicken breast, noodles, egg fried rice.] was so yummy and I ate the whole thing, even though it was quite heavy for one person. was tender and went well with the sauce and vegetables. Perfectly cooked and the flavor was amazing. And reasonable price.

Best Chinese food in town, I have visited many times, and food consistency is extremely high. The staff members are also very friendly. Must recommend the Korean BBQ Beef either with crack chips or egg fried rice. In addition they have amazing appetizers also. Highly rated.

I'm giving this an overall 5, purely because the guy that ordered was friendly and my order got to me very fast. Faster than it would have by an Ubereats or Deliveroo driver. The food was okay. I'd say it's more Indo than it is Chinese.

Came from London for a wedding and saw UncleJ’s on instagram. Tried it and absolutely loved the food. Came really quick and everything we ordered tasted amazing. Would definitely come again.

Orderd crack chips, 65 chicken, and noodles. Unfortunately i dont like coriander and it had coriander through out. The gentleman behind the counter asked me if it was ok as i think he could see i wasnt enjoying it. I explained i didnt like coriander and he insisted he do me it again without it. He did it for me again and it was gorgeous. So tasty! My partner loved hers aswell. I insisted i pay for the other meal but they wouldnt let me pay. Fantastic food and fantastic staff. Will be going back. Thank you.

I recently ordered the chicken noodles from Uncle J’s Restaurant, and it was an extremely disappointing experience. The food was, without exaggeration, the worst I have ever encountered. The chicken noodles were clearly spoiled, with an overwhelming amount of garlic seemingly added to mask the off taste. Unfortunately, it didn't work, and the dish was utterly inedible. This kind of quality is not just unacceptable but concerning, as it raises serious questions about food safety. While I don't plan to report this to the authorities, I strongly urge the restaurant to take immediate action to address these issues. Serving spoiled food is a serious matter, and I hope Uncle J’s takes this review seriously to ensure no one else has to endure such a terrible experience. In summary, I cannot recommend this place and would advise others to think twice before ordering here.

Coming from Blackburn and i love my food, especially indo chinese, once this place was recommended to me over oodles, ive always ate here. Staff are brilliant and very patient in helping with the menu, service for food is quick and efficient, the food is fresh and tastes brilliant and the portion size are very generous. Brilliant everytime ive visited. Well recommended 👌

Love the food and service is always on point. Great value, as I always get a box with sides, crispy chicken is a must, crack chips and egg fried rice.

Travelled from London to visit this place and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was amazing along side the beautiful yet subtle decor. The staff were friendly and not constantly in your face and disturbing you. We had the “meal for 2” for 3 people and we had to take some left over home. My personal favourite (which was recommended as it was our first time) was the chicken bites. The service was also very quick and did not have to wait too long for our food given it was a lot of food.

The wings were very tasty and full of sauce. The fries had a very unique taste which was flavoursome and not full of grease - topped with spices, green onion and chives. It is a great environment which was clean and the staff have very good customer service; polite and respectful. Brown sugar tea was also perfect to finish off with! Respect to Jamal for the service.

It was my first time I was given the best customer service a free side & a free drink. I will definitely come here again

Very clean casual restaurant with clean toilets which is very rare these days. Staff member very polite and helpful when placing the order.. The food came quickly and piping hot. Very tasty food and great size portions. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

This place is a wonder ... I like their chips a lot and paneer ....they exactly know what they are doing ....they make food with passion.

The brothers took great care of my family, even gave us extra portions of food after we changed an order. Defo recommend, get the beef and the chips, they're quite addictive ;)
