Such a cute interior for a waiting area. Owner was super sweet and understanding about allergies and just general vibe. Food was delicious, crispy and flavourful!

The food here is great, especially the king prawns with chilli and salt! The vegetables were so nice and fresh in all the dishes we ordered! The owners are always so friendly too

Ordered a takeaway from Clarendon House Chinese, and it was great. The food was fresh, arrived hot, and portions were generous. The spare ribs in chill and salt was a nice touch—crispy meat and tender inside. The salt and pepper dishes had the right amount of spice, and the chow mein was packed with flavour. Quick service and easy ordering. The lady was lovely on the phone. Will definitely order again.

Rude! Ordered food from here today and waited 45 minutes. Never in my life have had to waited this long when they had just opened. After 40 minutes I had politely asked how long as my family were hungry. The response i got was shocking … “ don’t rush me if you want good food”. Not wanting to cause a scene i let them take there time in hope the food would be nice. Got home and the curries were all watered down and could barely taste it. Only good part was the freshness of the veggies and the spring rolls. But the curries were substandard and not what you would expect after waiting that long. Furthermore, i did request green chilies which they did not add as the curries had zero spice. Overall, not the best and can find better

I've only recently moved into the Clarendon Park area and I think I've found my new local Chinese... Friendly staff, they had the food ready quickly, it's reasonably priced and all the food was great, better than I've had from a lot of similar places. The beef in the black bean chow mein wasn't tough (as you can find), the pork curry was very good and the king prawn sesame toast was very flavourful. Ticks all the boxes, I will definitely be back.

Best Chinese takeaway in the whole of Leicester. Very good at the normal takeaway items for Westerners such as Sweet and Sour, Curries, Fried Rice and Chow Mein, but also good for some dishes that Chinese people enjoy such as Beef Hor Fun and Ma Po Tofu. Consistently good every time.

I’ve been going here for almost 20 years and the food is still really good. I tend to stick to the same dishes but that’s because I can’t get them anywhere else and they’re delicious.

Great food at a reasonable price, cash only. Best to place order over the phone, pick up only no delivery.

This place is horrible. The lemon chicken is undercooked and the crispy chicken is dry. Worst Chinese I’ve eaten

The food was unfortunately just not up to par, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of food.

Just had king prawn and chicken curry with egg fried rice , it was delicious...

I was in despair upon the closing of my local Chinese and after trying at least 5 places (yes I am that sad) I found Clarendon House. Beautiful food and lovely people. Special mention - The quality of meat is excellent.

Fantastic food, much better than the other local ones, with suitable portion sizes for great prices. Prawn crackers had a fantastic taste and texture, perfectly what you'd expect, and the chips are the best you could ask for from a Chinese. Very clean kitchen and didn't have to wait that long either. Definitely going to be my go-to.

Great smiling lady and a warm Welcome. Seems like a popular place for takeaways on Friday evenings and people were prepared to wait for more than 1 hr onsite. It was my first order but im impressed and shall wow to be ur regular customer

IMO the best Chinese food in Leicester. Everything tasty and fresh and most important premises are clean not like most of the places In town. Pork in honey and chilli is the best. Highly recommended
