On arrival, we were shown to our table. Their Turkish bread is one of the best, it's so tasty. The service was good and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food was undercooked (the chicken) and now I have food poisoning. I have been throwing up all night and morning while experiencing abdomen pain because of this. I had an important sports tournament today but unfortunately had to pull out due to this so I am extremely disappointed

We had 3 short black hairs in our food that my niece found and put to one side. She waited for the staff to come and ask how we were getting on, as is the normal practice in restaurants and she stopped eating. The restaurant manager insisted the chef wore protective clothing. They took £4 off our total bill and did not apologise. In fact, they maintained the hair was our fault. My niece, sister, daughter and I all have medium to long hair. The restaurant has a good hygiene 5 rating which is a mystery.

Great grilled food, delicious bread, good Turkish tea.

Went with a Party group of 15 friends [table reservation £100 deposit returnable]. First and foremost the Waiting Staff were superb, and strategically left 1x staff dedicated permanent + slightly detached for very prompt attention to our group at all times. Food quality was very good and served promptly by multiple staff. Staff were patient at seperate bill payments from within the group, with the final outstanding amount subtracted from the deposit, with the balance returned in cash. Smoothly run and no fuss or fluster.

Marido y yo llamamos temprano un domingo y pedimos el plato para 2. Increíble pan y chapuzones llegaron primero - el pan estaba recién horneado y era como comer nubes! El plato siguió a su debido tiempo y era abundante, caliente y sabroso. Muy buen servicio, ambiente y recomendaría.

So If you like a BBQ This is a great place to go...Very nice various kebab dishes on the menu and plenty of side orders to help you feel well and truly stuffed... Great food and good service all washed down with a nice cold beer...Whats not to luv...

Food was Lovely had a seafood platter a bit more sauce or peppers would of been even better and beers lovely the garlic dip was lovely and the chilli one tasted almost chemical I've had this a thousand times but not like this they may want to relook at this however the bread was great the gentleman and the blond lady were pleasant and helpful however the dark haired lady with the pony looked just miserable and if you attempted to give her a smile unlike the others it was like she gave you a dirty look which made us feel uncomfortable we thought we may have git it wrong but no she looked like she was chewing a wasp or didnt want to be there whoch is a shame however this wasn't the same with the rest of the staff maybe they could teach her a thing or two..it was the only thing that lost you a star and you wouldn't of if not for the miserable waitress who made the experience not as pleasant as it should of been

We had a one person grilled mix platter and a grilled salmon. The service here is perfect. The food is worth the money, big plate and delicious. Definitely recommended. Veg menu serviced as well.

Always the food is so nice. We have been coming here for years. And the staff are amazing and always polite. My kids also love the place as they always get a lollipop at the end of the meal from the staff lol.

The food is great.. recommend the lamb chops and mixed grill. Freshly cooked , can watch them cook your dinner. Very good service and great atmosphere. It's one of my favourite restaurants in Leicester. Price's are very good.

Pedí un plato de pollo que venía con cordero y pollo, no es el mejor si soy completamente honesto, el plato estaba frío como piedra, la comida en el plato era tibia y demasiado caro para lo que era. El personal amable y agradable, pero no para mí personalmente, prefieren una buena porción de comida con un poco de calor, la ensalada era muy pequeña también

I've been served spoiled food twice, the first time I let go and told myself it was an honest mistake the second time it was a platter and the meat and rice was spoiled, this is piss taking and the head chef had the audacity to say it was fresh, I told him to eat it and he couldn't

Awful prawns, smelly meat, soggy chips, I have tried delivery once about 6 months ago and thought I would give it another try ! Nope never again really poor !

The food was okay, maybe 😋 it's just my taste bud for African delicacy that affected my perception of the food.

Average food at best. Kofta kebab was extremely basic and that is a Turkish dish that a Turkish restaurant should be good at. Atmosphere was absolutely dry, food was dry, wouldn't come here again. Looking at the reviews looks like it's a good place gone down hill.

Visited today for a belated birthday lunch for my mother in law. The bread and dips/olives we were given whilst waiting for our food were so yummy. The majority of us ordered chicken beyti which comes with a lovely salad & we chose chips to have on the side. The portions are very generous and when the waiting staff found we were there as a belated birthday meal they surprised my mother in law with a chocolate cake and sang happy birthday with us. So thoughtful of them. This is our second time dining here and we would definitely come again.

We used to stay beside this restaurant and we always used to love to go to this restaurant since it was established sometime in 2014. Whenever we visit Leicester nowadays, we try to visit this place too and trust me it never disappointed us. We are very fond of Mediterranean foods, here we always gets best breads & dips. We just love it. Whatever we ordered so far, every dish we found amazing. I posted few glimpses ordered this time, but to be honest I would recommend try each dish. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Quickly they serve here and always come with a smile to help you. Ambience is very nice, plenty of seating area. This time we went on the hottest day in UK, I would prefer to see some more air conditioner or fan inside the restaurant during hot summer day as it was getting very warm inside. Roadside parking is available nearby, within 5-7 minutes or lesser walking distance.

We decided to place a large order online, which we received perfectly online via pickup. The service, food, everything was excellent. We ordered a bunch of things to feed around 12 people for my son's first birthday party. The unfortunate truth after though is that after that 5 out of 12 of us suffered food poisoning and we've all had to take days off from work. Other than that. Impeccable service and food.

I've loved Efes since it opened, the first Turkish grill restaurant in the area if memory serves me right. Over the years I've been for dinners with my partner, friends, large groups of friends and family, and always loved it. Obviously the grilled meats are the highlight for most people, but seafood dishes are available and there's a good choice of vegetarian options. I'd especially recommend mucver (starter) and the vegetarian kebab. Service is always good and prices are reasonable.

The food is really good, the manager is really mean.

Last time I went they mixed up my order, this time I waited over 40 minutes, they stopped giving sides and all they prices increases so instead of nice affordable restaurant they became posh snobbish place, I cannot recommend anymore

I have ordered Chicken Beyti which indeed often served with melted butter, and I expected it to be prepared that way based on my previous experiences. It went frustrating when a restaurant doesn't accommodated my request, especially when it seems like a standard practice in other places. When I asked the waitress for melted butter, she brought it on the side ( the butter bar )and informed me that the chef said to eat it that way. I responded, 'Are you joking? It should be melted, not served like this.'" So i have to left food like this. They need alot of improvement. Manager name was sheraz .

A 5-star restaurant with incredibly good quality food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Where do I start. Uncle Ben’s rice. Chicken shish and Lamb Kofte, terrible. Chewy, bad pieces of meat and to make it worse, overcooked. Trust me, I’ve been to many of the Turkish restaurants in Leicester and this isnt the one. Told the manager, he didn’t want to know.

It’s been a year since I’ve been to this place and when I came a year ago it was amazing!! Great food, great atmosphere, great service and value for money. However it’s the complete opposite now, they have increased the prices extortionately!! The food was bland with no side salad not even as a garnish. I went on a Saturday evening and the place was empty probably because of the above. Will not be going back and do not recommend

The main course was simple, I've tried other Turkish restaurants and the food there was better and cheaper as well After we finish eating, they don't empty or clean the table unless we ask them to do so, the place where we were sitting was full of flies and they said because the back area is open, well, at least put these devices that attract the flies instead of letting them disturb the customers

I haven’t been too many Turkish restaurants so I don’t know how this compares, but the food was good, the servers were friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I ordered the Adana Kofte Kabab (skewered minced lamb with onions, peppers, parsley and herbs) and chips (French fries).

Dine in at Efes Mangal BBQ. Restaurant. as they offer Halal Turkish Cuisine. Staff is very hospitable and courteous. Food quality and taste was wonderful. We really enjoyed the food. 👍🏻

Fui aquí anoche con amigos después de querer venir por tanto tiempo. Siendo vegetariano era escéptico viniendo a un lugar predominantemente de carne, pero las opciones eran decentes y variadas. Me dieron la moussaka de verduras que estaba bien, pero la porción era pequeña y por lo que pagué por ella, no parecía relación calidad-precio en absoluto. No tenía ningún sabor, muy suave y simple. Sólo un poco caro para mí y lo que tengo.

This is the best Turkish restaurant hands down out does the London ones I’ve been to food was incredible. Everything had flavours to the bone went there for my birthday dinner and I loved it simply the best Turkish restaurants. I will be back soon

Best charcoal grill Turkish food I have eaten in Leicester. A big choice in the Menu. Welcoming environment. good ambience, quick service and friendly staff. Waiter Puja was excellent and very knowledgeable about different foods available on the menu.There is a good choice for vegetarians too. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. We will defimnately go back soon.

We had my son's 2nd birthday lunch here and the food, service and experience was exceptional. Food was delicious, hot and plenty of it. Tasted fresh and good quality. Portion sizes on the multi person platters was generous. The service was also very good, nothing was too much trouble and they were attentive to the whole party. We hired the beer garden which was the perfect areas for our family of 26 with lots of children too. Special mention to Claudia, Alvin and Iza who served us, they were fantastic! We had a great celebration and all the family enjoyed the food! Thank you very much!

We were given a small dish with two sauces and some olives. When we asked for more sauces, we were told, “we will have to charge you for more sauces.” We tried to explain that it’s unreasonable to provide the same amount of sauce for one person (a man sitting opposite us) as for four people, but they did not seem to understand and eventually reluctantly accommodate us. To add to our frustration, we noticed that the man sitting opposite us received as much of whatever he wanted without any mention of extra charges. We are very disappointed with the service. We usually go to another Turkish restaurant around the corner, but we decided to try this one. Big mistake!

Having just visited Türkiye can say the food here if anything is Better than what i had in Antalya, The Lamb and Prawns so tasty and the table bread was amazing, light and crispy.

Amazing! Come with family and my son who's autistic, they brought out coloring pencils and paper with animals on, and made sure we was all okay food come really fast and service was amazing 👏 would highly recommend.

We went last night to drink a beer and a cocktail on the go without planning anything, it was great, upon entering we were greeted by a super nice lady, the bar staff exemplary, I drank a quick shot without my girlfriend knowing the staff served quickly and super nice specimen. And top top cleanliness, it was worth it

The worst kebabs I've ever eaten. It has nothing to do with Turkish cuisine. The sauce had no spices at all. Don't eat it. I never recommend it.

We are travelling through Leicester on our boat and thanks to Google, found this Comfortable relaxed Turkish bistro, with fantastic food and excellent service. Highly recommended

Me and my colleagues are often in Leicester for work purposes. Love coming here. Food is great, I personally love the Adana iskender, borek and falafel.

Dined on a saturday evening as a family of four. Pre booked notifying the restaurant that this was a 16th birthday celebration but this was not acknowledged during our visit. Hot Meze platter was mostly deep fried and looked/tasted like a platter you'd buy from the frozen section of a budget supermarket. The meat platter was better but the lamb items were chewy and over salted. Table set up is awkward, with other diners positioned too close restricting free movement. Staff weren't very friendly. Turkish restaurants are very popular at the moment but I'm not sure I'd return to this one.

Amazing food -full of flavour starters and charcoal-grilled meat! Before we got our orders, we received complimentary freshly made Turkish bread plus garlic mayo, black and green olives and hand-made chilli sauce! Great service and friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere too! Highly recommended Turkish restaurant!

Can recommend the efes chicken everytime without doubt but never disappointed with any of the other dishes on offer. Always made welcome and good value quality.

This place was great for a pre rugby match lunch at Leicester Tigers, Telford Road. Great authentic Turkish food with lots of choice on the menu which also included Turkish Efes beer.

Went for my 50th Birthday with a large group, absolutely loved it the food was amazing…we had the jumbo sharing platter between 4 of us and was more than enough food the lamb chop was so nice I could of ate 6 of them!!…the bread for starters was delicious too…staff were great will definitely be coming back 👍🏼

Efes Mangal Barbecue is mine and my family favourite Turkish food 😋, there's no other place in Leicestershire that can beat this place when it comes to great food. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly and very polite, the service is second to none and the food is fantastic and we've repeatedly have takeaway and we've also had meals here. So if you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a good Turkish restaurant, then you must check out this great place 👍🏿.

Waited over 45 minutes for our food, chicken was uncooked and one chicken wing still had blood in it. Although we got discount, we were several dissatisfied with how long it took to receive our food. And personally although I usually like the place, I probably won't be coming back.

Usually when we dine in we have no problems at all and would give it 5 stars. This time we ordered a takeaway and they got the order wrong. We ordered veg kebab and they gave us mousaka. There was no chips with the wings. We also ordered extra chips but they gave us rice. We were not impressed with the takeaway and will make us think twice about coming in again. Shame really as the food is usually really nice here.
