I love the lamb chops and baby chicken.

It's been about 20 years since I been in the club, same vibes great music brilliant food, love the place, hopefully be back soon

Another amazing Leicester pub food experience. Whilst in Leicester we went out with our family members to the city centre. It was quite late when we talked about eating good. We came here and after getting drinks we were shown to our table and we ordered. The food experience was amazing and we absolutely enjoyed all the dishes. The stand out dish was the Kheema Curry with chicken pieces. It was just so tasty. Come and try the food here and judge for yourself.

Food is tasty and decent portions. Can be loud but good atmosphere.

Went out for a lads night out. Good beer and atmosphere! I would recommend to order dishes separately as if you order the mix grill the chicken wings are all one taste. Unfortunately the lamb chops are boiled and then grilled which I’m not a fan off. It’s an odd taste compared to them being freshly grilled.

No bells and whistles, just great authentic indian food in a warm relaxed pub environment

Sizzling platters are top notch. The prawns in a BBQ style sauce in particular are out of this world. The chilli, cheese nann was great. Really friendly staff and locals make you feel welcomed. Such great value. We will be back. The three platters are baby chicken, lamb chops and prawn.

Found curly beard hair in the curry .Took it to the people cooking all had a beard and they said its not there's! No hygiene.

This was the go-to place 5 years ago. What happened? The food was 2 out of 10, while it was cooked and had masala on it - that famous Indian Queen taste is gone. Beer n bar service was great, though.

UPDATED REVIEW: 0 STAR HYGIENE RATING! 99% of the time its 99% men in here - if you can get over that and the fact that the bar and restaurant are run as separate businesses so you have to go to the bar to buy your beer/drinks....and they only accept cash or charge you stupid amount to pay on card-the food is some of the best in Leicester- for starters you must try the baby chicken/lamb chops - the mix grill sizzler is good too- portion sizes are good all round. order fried chilli onion garlic on the side to add to everything from starters to mains. Methi chicken, butter chicken, tawa chicken, lamb jalfrezi and prawn dishes in general are all good! highly recommend this place for the food and prices are good too. hard liquor at the bar is also quite cheap, beers a good price too.

I wish they didn't serve halal food...Also did you know they have 0 ratings on food & hygiene with 'URGENT Improvement Necessary ' I definitely won't be going there again!! And excuse me I do have my knowledge that's why I've commented with proof proof twice on your website

The Indian Queen used to be one of the top places to go. The food was great, now i wouldn't ven recommend anyone to eat there at all. They have pardon my French S@:_t on the own doorstep. They believe by giving the local people rubbish uncooked food and charge high prices due to hike in food prices it's okay. Certainly not. The chapptis are raw. The amounts are less in size. I live in Wales however born and bread Leicesterfarian, everytime i ciome back to Leiecester i just want to go there, reason being its a relaxed atomosphere but now, i wouldnt want to eat there at all. Personally, goto the Martin Inn, or any other place on Belgrave/ Melton Road.

Standard food but service and alcohol is really good!

Cannot believe this place got a 0 food hygiene rating! It has absolutely put me off from ever visiting again. State of the kitchen must be disgusting!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

Great place to watch football/cricket, have a joke with the locals and grab some delicious authentic food. A good selection of beers and spirits. One of the best bar grill places in Leicester in my opinion. Lamb chops, baby chicken and prawn sizzler on the shell are to die for.

Never seen the Indian Queen so empty. Maybe because of the financial pressure people are under, or maybe because the food was so bloody lousy. Shame, it used to be one of my favourite venues.

A good friendly restaurant. Food is tasty and so closely connected with the Indian cooking. A little too oily but the spice hit is amazing!!! Ordered Tandoori roti, Garlic Naan, Paneer mogo, Vegetarian Kheema, and Chicken Karahi.

In the last few times I’ve eaten here, we have found the standards have dropped. Once we found plastic in the food, another time the paneer was tasting gone off and finally this time they gave us a dish which tasted uncooked. We complained and asked for another dish but they said it was ok even though they did not try the dish. The restaurant area has very poor customer service

Best Indian food in Leicester for me. Starters in particular are a great selection of some of the best food around. Football on and a decent beer selection . Cash only on the food which is a little annoying in the modern world but a small issue for such great food.

Food was great, would be better if they used a little less oil in their curries. Their customers might live a little longer too!!! 🤣... shame you have to go to the bar for your drinks and pay separately apart from that we all enjoyed it.

Nice place to hangout. We did enjoyed Indian Bhel (snacks) and cricket match on multiple screens 😁. Food options are also good. Dine-in and Take-away both popular here.

Food was very tasty. Only had starters and a garlic naan on this occasion but all the food was on point. Baby chicken. Wings. Prawn and fish sizzler.

Still the nice pub atmosphere we love. Food still good and atmosphere lovely. A little more expensive for food and beer than other pub grills but worth it. Baby chicken and butter chicken still smashed it after all these years. Jerra wings a let down Hot butter chicken a knock out. Hard to get a table but worth the wait. Private members club but pretty relaxed.

Lamb chops were 10/10 as was the chicken Keema mix. The desi paneer tikka masala was also nice. Look forward to visiting again soon. Staff were friendly as well.

Very good halal place for some indian food located upstairs. But worth mentioning that drinks purchase from separate business downstairs is compulsory, which is slightly unfortunate due to the drink prices. But food from indian queens was nevertheless very good and staff were very helpful

Had lots of curry’s all around Leicester over the years. But not any more this is going to be our new local Absolutely loved it food was beautiful and the people down there were very friendly. Super food and service lamb chops baby chicken prawns all renowned dishes

A vibrant hub of happy, noisy drinkers and exotic aroma of Indian food hits you as you step inside this place. A busy, noisy bar with at least half a dozen TVs on the walls. Good place to quench your thirst but I felt the narrowness(corridor like) of the place uncomfortable. Give it a try you may like it.

The good was delicious especially the chilli chicken bites and the naan super soft. Overall great delicious good but mild is still very chilli

Got a takeout meat biryani and prawns. Excellent.

Went for Euro semifinal. Very lively place with friendly regular clientele. Worried about lack of windows or ventilation and no sign of masks on anybody!

Indian Queen In Leicester Amazing ambiance, excellent and very attentive service. The food order was of top quality and reasonable in price. The place was buzzing and makes you welcome - large in portion. Thank you - we enjoyed it. Definitely coming back

AWESOME FOOD! My go to place for a curry. Lovely people and excellent service. You will have to buy a drink from the bar if you’re eating in (could be a soft drink) as these are the house rules. But you’ll need a drink anyways. All dishes are well priced and all meats are halal. I would recommend everyone to try the saucy baby chicken at least. 😍

Terrible service yesterday,went for a friend's birthday meal, I wasn't feeling too well and asked for tap water, but they refused and said I must pay for a soft or alcoholic drink. The guy behind the bar,middle aged was very rude and adamant about me having to buy a drink when I just wanted water. However the food was good, it's ashame the service was poor and this man was rude.

Sister ordered few items for our girls night in. paneer dish as takeaway, the dish did not arrive, time it takes to fix issue is not worth hassle so didn't bother to go back or even ring... one plain naan was burnt and one garlic naan was missing also. the chicken tikka sizzler was half cooked. The quality of the food is not even mediocre. ENDED UP THROWING ALL THE INDIAN QUEEN FOOD IN THE BIN AND ORDERED PIZZAS INSTEAD!!!!!! The poor quality of food and lack of care is enough to destroy the vibe of the night!!!!!!!!!

Crazy busy... Can see why with the grilled food so juicy and tasty. The Lamb chops and Baby chicken was exceptional. Good place for a boys night out. Wouldn't recommend for a family.

The Lamb chops are the reason this food joint is still in business....they are too DIE for...also the jeera wings and Desai style butter chicken are amazing. I visit this restaurant weekly.

Good casual dining place. Food had always been good. Chops and chicken wings are a must. Prawn dish can be a bit of a hit and miss but other than the place is small full of locals and sports enthusiasts.

Food is very good here but the food service was very poor, I understand that you can be busy but it took 1hr 30mins for our food to arrive. We only ordered starters! They set the table up within 10 mins after we had ordered but no sign of food, each time we asked they kept saying 10 mins. I was ready to go but was very hungry.

It's what I call a 'man's pub' rather than a family pub. Card payment is only available over a certain amount but decor is very nice and there is a restaurant area upstairs.

Wonderful curries, fresh and tasty starters. Always consistent, this is why I'm a regular! Lamb chops are the best in Leicester without a doubt.

My fiends and I visit this place regularly purely for its quality of food availability of a wide range of drinks and service we get there! The food is very consistent very time we have have been there. They will listen to how you’d like your food prepared, ie mild, medium hot or if you’d prefers to make some Changes with then ingredients they will happily do that as opposed to many Indian restaurants who would say out sauces are already prepared and we are unable to make any change. That attitude is rubbish and goes to show their food is probably prepared and they simply reheat it for you and serve you but not here! They make the food for you and that is why sometimes it takes longer than we’d like but I don’t mind the wait as the food is well worth the wait. The staff and the owners are very professional and friendly. I’d recommend Indian Queen! Only downside is it’s not as big in terms of space and as it’s really good it’s generally very busy but I don’t see it as a major issue.
