Grill Chef in Leicester

I was soo disappointed by the lack of manners of the waiters at this restaurant. They had complained about my child dropping some food on the floor. Decent food but very unwelcoming!

I want to say it’s my favourite place to eat ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We ordered the Fattoush salad, the lamb biriyani, the mixed grill and hummus and everything was perfect! Thankyou!

This one falls right in between...with all the possibilities of becoming excellent. It has a seperation for women/family if needed. Overall the food is OK, the Koozi is good, Kebabs/meat need more marination. Prices slightly more than the quality, location, and space.

The food was delayed and the customer service communication was really bad as we were told not to make a mess which I find it odd tell the customer how to eat and clean after themselves. We wouldn’t be going there anymore!!

I am deeply disappointed by the recent experience my family and I had at the restaurant. As regular patrons of this establishment, we have always enjoyed the warm atmosphere and delicious meals, particularly after Friday prayers. However, our recent visit (today)left us feeling disheartened and unwelcome. Upon finishing our meal yesterday, my two-year-old son accidentally caused a mess, as young children sometimes do. Instead of receiving understanding and assistance from the establishment, we were met with visible displeasure and disapproval the following day. The staff's response was dismissive, merely stating that we needed to be more careful as the boss was not happy with the mess! (Who says that to customer) This encounter was not only shocking but also disconcerting. As a regular customer of this restaurant in the past, one would expect a more accommodating and empathetic response to such situations. It is the responsibility of the restaurant to provide a clean and comfortable environment for all patrons, regardless of age. Sadly, it appears that since the change in ownership, the quality of service and the welcoming atmosphere we once cherished have deteriorated. I regret to say that I cannot recommend this place to other families with young children based on this disappointing experience. It is my hope that management takes this feedback seriously and works towards restoring the reputation and delivering good customer service. Unfortunately you lost me as customer now and is shame as me and my family use to go to this place since 2016.

I'm really sorry for that because may food wasn't nice at all I spent almost £73 for Special family food not nice to me because chicken dosnt cook lamb Burning inside lamb still read not cook properly & it take so long almost one hour waiting time may point is not then money may point is I didn’t enjoy food so before was really nice food but now no more this way I give 0 😱

Food is ok but it's very bland because it's turkish.We didn't finish our food and they turned off the lights. They also ran out of free starters. Good staff

We were invited by our friends for dinner to their favourite restaurant, after it had just reopened after refurbishment. We had beautiful starters and the best kebab I’ve ever had. The food was incredible and the service excellent. I’d be very happy to come back again . My friends travel 45 minutes at least 1-2x per month to come and enjoy some of this delicious food!

Use to be very good food , looks like previous people gone and , we had a lunch food was old staff forgetting things what we orde meat hasn’t cooked well , small amounts of rice , I explained to the waiter but we been ignored

my conversation with restaurant owner. after ordering food from there. im going to this restaurant for last 7 years and loved the food. but .... salam Abid.. i ordered food from restaurant today .. £73 i spend and the food was very bad .. i told then no lintel.. they still put it. all the nan they provide were baked long back and burned .. not eatable at all.. chicken and lamb cubes were not cooked properly.. u know i am ur regular.. but this is not good .. u think i will come back to ur restaurant if u give me food like this .. i want u to speak to ur staff and tell them to either give me 1 freshly cooked plater or a refund of 1 .. tell them to call me .. if not i will not again come to ur restaurant and leave u a bad review .. You are not the first customer to complain about the food, and I feel sad that the business going down the hill because of some incompetence staff. You know very good when I was there my food and service was flawless! I do apologies again be In Shaa Allah they will sort out your problem, I already told them about. Nice decor and seating. Food great. Not too spicy. Great free lentil soup for starter. Chips on offer for kids but mine enjoyed the chicken shish and rice.

very nice ambience and food. they give you a complimentary lentil soup, fresh bread and mezes. they all tasted great. we ordered Spaghetti bolonaise, halloumi and mix platter. The chicken skewers were lovely, the meat one tasted ok. halloumi was also good. Spaghetti bolonaise was average. Good service and nice place to come dine out. would come to try other dishes.

The hidden gem of Leicester, this food is fresh and frankly one of the best places I have ever eaten, not many places you can get slow cooked lamb on a Wednesday afternoon, nothing was too much for them and Saldar's service was exceptional. Thank you and we will definitely be returning regularly. Prices are really reasonable as well.

The service at the beginning was very good however as we wanted to celebrate our daughters first birthday and they said fine when we booked the table. However once we finished eating wanting to cut the cake the owner and his staff were extremely rude and did not accommodate us to cut the cake. They were too worried about cleaning and going home . The owner and staff were extremely rude and abusive . Really made us upset 😭

Used to be their regular customer. Recently management has changed I believe. Bought mixed grill today, which I always used to buy. Food was totally burned, they said it's ok, asked us to have it. 24 Pound wasted. The 2 lady at the reception were not very professional

A honest review of grill cheff I have come to this place for the past 4 years.The food is freshly made from start. You can go there and eat every week and not get bored of the food. Amazing food and reasonable price. Few comments on the staff. The staff make the place lively. On Maria, she is more of the motherly type, whenever I have gone to eat with my family she has welcomed us. When you're there you dont feel like you're in a restaurant. She makes you feel like you are at home. Top service. And there is sofia (safia), you wont miss her she is always there. Customer servicewise, she is sharp, respectful, and very helpful. One minor thing I do have complaint about is the chai they used to make with mint in it. It is no longer available. It has been discontinued. I dont know why. Bring back my chai :) Overall 5 star 🌟

Loveliest grill restaurant I have ever been to. The waitress was so pleasant and polite. The food was absolutely delicious and the decor was beautiful. I appreciated the simple but robust flavours, as well as the grilling which was executed perfectly. Every cut of meat was incredibly tender. I have to add that this restaurant is miles better than other competitors such as Konak, Istanbul and Etci baba. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and divine food. I'll be back soon!

The food was very late and it was cold food they had a woman working there who was bad with people very rude women I wish the owner of the restaurant would kick her out because he will lose a lot and no one will visit the restaurant because of her

I used to go to this restaurant once a week but not anymore because of the food because we saw hair in the food and when we took the food back they changed it,But then when they changed it it didnt have nan bread in it,also they didnt give the soup to us for free like always and the staff was unkind and rude! This place has rally nice food 👍 one of the best meals I've had in a long time cheap too. Would definitely recommend to all. The waitress was really helpful and food came out really fast and eas hot. I went there on a bank holiday and the food was superb they were so busy but the quality didn’t go down. The waiters and waitresses were so busy but yet so friendly!! Loved it! Really appreciate the servers the ladies were really helpful.

Due to the 50%off scheme, there was 2hours wait until we got our food on the table - very poor customer service, and slow, there were 2 floor staff amongst 50 customers, and even then we didnt get our drinks first, or food on time. Kids got bored and very tired. Maybe on other days it would be different. But its just like any other Turkish/Kurdish cuisine - all the same!!!

Tucked away on the shopping precinct this Kurdish restaurant offers a varied range of food all cookedto perfection with friendly and attentive staff Not licensed but not the end of the world I had a skillet of varied meat served with a naan enough for any healthy traveller

It was ok. The restaurant was cold. There was 5 of us. The chelo kebabs weren't all that but the rest of the food, hummus, bread, bulgar, other chicken and lamb kebabs were nice.

Did not quite meet expectations of "Arab" , not quite sure what cuts Turkish, But decent good food of the region around
