Catered Hen Party weekend, we had fabulous catering for a themed evening on Friday and a formal evening on Saturday. Both evening the food was great, but the formal evening meal was stunning. The entire team were accommodating, friendly, and left no trace that they had even been in the kitchen. Highly recommend for any private dining event.

Amazing DJ playing and some great music. Music quiz later in the night but I’m sure the owner of the bar cheated 😂

My boyfriend and I stayed here on NYE to get away from the city. It went above and beyond our expectations. There was a huge amount of attention to detail from little treats left in the room to complimentary drinks for NYE to a parking plaque with my name on. The room itself was modern, luxurious, the beds and pillows so comfy and the bath/bathroom was perfect. We had breakfast included which was also lovely. The surrounding area was gorgeous for hikes and getting away from the hustle and bustle. All the staff were absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. It was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in in the UK. Thanks so much - we will be back :).

It is a lovely little café with the best staff and extraordinary food! I also told them my partner had birthday and they prepared with a candle for him! Lovely surprise ❤️ We had cappuccinos, full english breakfast and a smashed avocado toast with halloumi on top, everything was delicious!

First visit to this wonderful pub for Sunday Lunch. Booked a table in advance which I am glad of as it was very busy. Very cosy pub, staff very welcoming. I had a Roast Pork Dinner and my husband had Steak & Ale Pie. Both meals were delicious and generous sized portion. Highly recommend. We will definitely be going back.

Had fish, chips, mushy peas & curry sauce. Not tasted anything like them before. Freshly cooked, chips thin crispy on the outside, fluffy delicious flavour potatoes, cod perfectly cooked in a light crispy batter, peas & curry sauce just the right consistency. Well worth the money, absolutely delicious

I don't usually bother to write reviews, however, we went to get fish & chips, as most of the reviews were outstanding. To say I was dissapointed is an understatement. My fish(£6.50) was almost all batter. Shocking, easily the worst fish & chip meal I have ever had. Should have gone to the chippy up the road, they had a long queue.

I have been staying in Tideswell. I keep going back to this establishment because it’s so good. Very friendly, and I think it’s family owned - lovely cakes and great baps/sandwiches. Reasonably priced. You come away thinking this is how it should be done. I’m visiting in winter but there appears to be seating outside for the summer. Sitting in Cherry Tree square watching the world go by in better weather does appeal. I’ll have to come back!

Sunday lunch everything was seasoned very peppery one of the party could not eat it. I suffer with digestive problems so have to be careful what I eat. Suffered after eating. 2 small carrots and 1 piece of broccoli very poor amount of veg. Best thing was home made Yorkshire pudding but that was also seasoned. People should be told before ordering that everything was seasoned.

Just had a beautiful Sunday lunch at 'The George'. We sampled the turkey and roast pork dinners, everything was cooked to perfection, including light, crispy Yorkshire's and creamy cauliflower cheese. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the pub felt warm and inviting on a bitterly cold and windy day.
