Lovely food and great service but a little noisy when it gets busy. However, I am happy to put up with that in order to have the best fish and chips you have ever tasted

Disappointed with this visit for a family get together for a meal and drinks. Very poor service throughout- had to repeatedly ask for service to order the meals and drinks. We sat near the bar and could see staff standing around but not serving clients. Two of us ordered a kebab meal off the special menu and were very unhappy with the quality of the food. Spoke to bar manager and this was removed from our bill which was good, however it left 2 of us eating much less and coming away hungry- not great after a ‘meal out’ This pub is 5 minutes walk away from my house. I’ve visited 3 times in the last few months, choosing different meals each time. I’ve been disappointed by each visit with the quality of food, but yesterday the service and food was very poor. I will not be visiting again for a meal until I hear the meals and service has improved

I cannot fault the place. Not eaten as of yet however, by all accounts, the food is great (Many friends that are local recommend) I do not understand three consecutive negative reviews all referring to the owner/landlord. I am not local and have never in my dozen or so visits ever felt there is a problem with the attitude of the man, on the contrary, the guy and his wife are very pleasant and very welcoming. I guess the people feeling the need to show that much contempt are the real tw@s and are the ones causing a problem, no doubt p1$$ed up and loud. I cannot recommend the establishment enough. A great beer garden kept in beautiful condition. Very peaceful in the garden, too. Great selection of beers and service always served with a smile.

The team were so attentative as we came with a wheel chair user. Putting out tables together and making room. Then we had food which was lovely and beautiful. One of our party could not finish their dinner so the team had put it in a take away box to take home. I am utterly and completely over the moon it's nice to see this well done to the team!

Avoid! I would recommend The Robin across the road. We didn't receive the order we orderedand them when they rang them, they insinuated we were lying. We ended eating what we didnt order and sub quality.

We ordered a take away from here very recently, which was ready on time when we walked in to collect. The place was very hot inside, which is perfectly understandable, however, the place had a subtle hint and smell of somewhere not perfectly clean. There was a cabinet at the front with, presumably cold drinks inside, plus a large blue bottle fly. The food itself was very poor. After eating a couple of chunks of lamb and chicken the rest (virtually the entire meal) went into the bin. The meat looked really poor, rough, and of a debatable quality. It was very firm and chewy, of a strange texture. We will never visit there again.

Wasted my time, cancelled order for absolutely no reason.

food was awful no flavour left over from a previous evening.never had a garlic nan with a base that couldn't be broken.lamb saag that tasted more like wet cardboard and butter chicken that had a full bag of sugar poured over it in a vain attempt to give it some kind of flavour
