Rubbish service cannot be relied upin

We love the food from here. Been ordering since we moved to Mickleover a couple of years ago. Always big portions, fresh, hot & super tasty and very reasonably priced in comparison to UberEats or Deliveroo!

Imo the best Chinese takeaway in Derby. They've consistently been good for roughly a decade! Fried dishes aren't soggy Everything properly seasoned Can't recommend this establishment enough.

Great local takeaway. Food is always piping hot and delivered very quickly. Huge range of items and a very good vegetarian selection is available.

We thought the food was really tasty, they were very busy but was ready in ten minutes, plenty of food for what we paid. I would have given 5 stars but the beef in black bean came as chicken and the salt and pepper chicken was missed altogether. Will use again

Chose this place as it had the highest ratings for Chinese’s in Mickleover, do you lot have no taste buds or have I been unlucky? Chips were cold & hard and definitely already cooked before and refried. The whole lot was awful tasting. And spending over £30 I’d of thought I’d of got some prawn crackers

Unfortunately, the whole meal was tasteless. The curry, the Cantonese sauce, even the fried rice. The ribs were so hard, just as if they'd been left to stand for a long time. Definitely will not be going there again. Sad because it's local.

It's hard to find a decent Chinese Takeaway and trust me I have been to a few. This one is not too bad out off 10 I'll give them 7 most Chinese you spend over £20 you get free crackers or something and you get nothing for free! The £2 bag of crackers did taste alright. The noodles tasted soft and over cooked the rice and everything else was ok. Service is a bit slow but is that a good thing???

This is a take away, the food is excellent and well presented. This is the first time in my life that i actually had sesame prawn toast . Usually, you only get a smell of prawns, but here you get the whole bundle, toast prawns, and sesame seeds. 10/10. The rest of my order was also absolutely perfect. Thank you

King prawns In spicy chilli salt were so salty they were inedible. Don’t think the salt overload was in the batter as you could see it embedded on it. Went o”in the bin. This I can excuse, as mistakes are made when busy, but my Salt and Pepper chips were obviously old, refried and horrible. The colour of them confirmed this. How much does it cost to fry fresh potatoes? Is it worth losing a customer trying to save pennies? They also went in the bin.

Ordered couple of items , was a bit disappointed. Mushroom soup quantity was very less. However taste was good. Chez wan beef was meant to be hot and spicy. But that was sweet and not at all hot. Chicken in black pepper sauce and veg noodles was average.

As a family we look forward to Chinese Fridays, but this one wasn't upto our standards. Will never go again, think we stick to Tutbury one

Beef curry rice and chips perfect

Avoid !!! The food is absolutely disgusting and not eatable. We had to drive back to take the food back and get a refund. I strongly advice do not eat there. I don’t want to even know how old the food is there! I wish I could post all my pictures of the food they served us.

Curry and rice very nice. Chips overcooked or double cooked or old mixed with fresh cooked. Some hard and unbeatable.

The best Chinese! Always go to imperial kitchen, i genuinely say I wouldn’t move out of Mickleover because I would miss going. It’s always really nice food, the same quality everytime. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Only problem is it takes forever to get a call through on busy days so beware to wait… but totally worth it!

Busy last week, waited 20mins in the shop which is fine but the food was cold ???

Absolutely brilliant food, came hot few minutes late though. Still piping hot and the customer service was on point.

Just ordered from here, and I was really happy with the food. Normally we go to happy house in micklover but thought we'd give here a go. We collected, was told 20 mins and that was spot on...food was hot and well cooked. I'll be ordering again and I'd recommend it.

We ordered a takeaway and asked for some changes eg no bean sprouts and curry sauce instead of sweet and sour the staff took care to make sure we got exactly what we asked for! All the food was lovely and the staff really friendly! Definitely recommend.

Too much sugar... I coudn't finish seaweed nor pekin hot & sour soup... not for me.

Just ordered from this take away as our usual Chinese is closed on a Tuesday, what a mistake we have never tasted anything so disgusting, the chicken curry did not even taste of curry but smelt like a perfume odour and vile taste, the plain chow main was swimming in oil, the only thing that was edible was the boiled rice, what a waste of money...never again (not even 1 star)

I would say the food is outstanding and I would put the rating 5 stars if they have 6 stars+ and the Staff is great service when you enter inside and ordering your food. If you outside Derby or from different area, then you should use Google Maps to type in the address which is I would recommend. 😃👌

Great takeaway! Food is brilliant and well priced. Staff are friendly a polite. Always felt welcome there and will remain a customer in perpetuity for as long as they are there.

We ordered from here for the first time tonight. On a Friday at around 6.30pm so expected their A game. The reviews suggested it was going to be really good but they're either fake or people don't know what Chinese food is supposed to taste like. The portions we're good but the food was completely lacking in flavour, genuinely it was really not tasty at all. The chips were over cooked. And I really wouldn't recommend this takeaway at all. I'll be trying elsewhere in future. We ordered Singapore chow mein, no flavour at all and had some kind of egg that looked like burnt stretched out chewing gum Chicken fried rice. Lacking flavour Curry sauce.... Lacking flavour And dim sum platter. ribs ... no flavour. Spring rolls..actually the most tasty thing we had and prawn toast... wife said was tasteless. I know this place has decent reviews but based on this order.... GO ANYWHERE ELSE

Staff realy friendly food fantastic would recommend you try it

I honestly thought this might be better than my regular chinese takeaway (in Alvaston) and it isn't because this doesn't have any much flavours to me .. it's missing "peas" in chicken & beef fries rice, but i dunno if that's normal for most chinese takeaway? - Chips are totally burnt to me (more brownish than golden). - Overall, I think it's not bad place to get your chinese, as the chicken itself is nice and little moist which is a bonus, beef a tad bit chewy for my kids, rice is fine - everyone's happy, but the chips is burnt and we have left half of it in the bag. So it's a bit of a mixed review for me. - I will give this another once more in a couple of month as it could be down to the chef having a bad day on this day? Give them a try? Yes, I'd recommend it.

Often very good occasionally off par with consistency. Jill yuen chicken my personal favourite. Full of flavour would recommend and rate over any other Chinese in Mickleover.

I've had afew takeaways from the Imperial kitchen and have always enjoyed it but tonight it was awful the chowmein dishes had hardly any flavour they were very disappointing
