Ordered a chicken sag it’s was a box of spinach no taste what so ever and the butter chicken should be called butter water unfortunately it was that bad the dog wouldn’t eat it such a shame I was really looking forward to it will never ever come back I promise you that

Ordered a family kebab and it's the size of a normal size kebab. Paid £21 absolutely ridiculous my 5 year old son could eat it on his own. Disappointing!

We have regularly ordered from here since moving to the area and have never been disappointed. The tarka donner is really good, as are the burgers. Being Asian and a Brummie, I know a thing or 2 about curries - the owner specially rang us back after our online order to recommend the Chicken Tikka balti special for us, and we were not disappointed. We appreciated the personal touch and recommendation. In fact we are about to order again tonight 😊

Sorry to say but the food here is really, really bad. Samosa, onion bhaji and pakoras were burnt, stale and dry. Seemed like they might've been recooked from the day before. We picked our order up and when we got it home realised they'd forgotten the burger we ordered. The naan bread was really dry and awful. The cheesy chips were just about okay. In summary, the worst takeaway meal we've ever had. Sorry.

I order food from Uber app …food has arrived and food has not arrived,but I call the restaurant twice but he said he on way!! I thought I try this restaurant for time but never again!!! Hope I get refund back from Uber!!!!!!! And the food was horrible , I took picture and I send it to Uber…I got refund. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone!! I give zero

We have ordered from this place several times, typically the food is good, very tasty and timely delivery. On ordering I was warned of a 45 to 1 hour wait. 90 minutes later the food arrived. Clearly it had been driven around for a while so was cold and a disappointment. Not sure if we will be using them again.

Wow… as a family we ordered a mix of pizzas for the kids, kebabs and a curry. 100% will definitely be ordering again

I only post reviews for either very good service/food or very bad and unfortunately this is the latter. After waiting 90 minutes our meal finally arrived and although warm it just lacked in flavour, substance and meat. Such a shame as we held high hopes after spotting them at the hot August night’s festival but safe to say it’s one of the worst curry experiences we’ve ever had, food was way below par UPDATE: VERY IMPRESSED with how seriously this place has taken this review! The owner actually came to our door this afternoon to apologise and explained there was a temp chef on last night as they were at the festival doing the food there. They have offered us the chance to have the same meal again this week at no cost to demonstrate how good they truly are. Just for that I’m happy to give it 5 star rating as I’ve never know this to happen. Hoping it really is as good as the owner states, in which case they’ll have themselves a customer for life! This was the 2nd time we've used this place and yet again the food was absolutely amazing!!! My only complaint would be that on the 1st time we tried them out we decided to get the food delivered because if I'm completely honest I really couldn't be arsed to move off the sofa and drive over to Mickleover, we got told it would be around 30 to 45 mins as they were busy, being a Saturday night I thought that was quite reasonable, however after about an hour waiting I rang in to ask for an approx eta and got told he'd left 10mins ago should be with you in 5mins. Great!! I thought as both Hayley and me were bloody starving. 20mins later still no food had arrived so back on the phone I went, the same lad answered and said the exact same thing as before, he left 10mins ago should be with you in 5mins, to which I replied, is it really gonna be 5mins because to be fair you said the same thing 20mins ago and still my belly is empty?!? Yes yes he said 5mins 10max. OK no worries 👍 a further 20mins later it arrived, the driver was very apologetic and explained that they had been extremely busy. Which is all the guy on the phone needed to say and we'd have been more than happy to wait. But once I'd tasted the Balti pizza I'd ordered I completely forgot about being annoyed at the long wait and devoured every last piece, much to the dogs disappointment as he'd been sat patiently waiting for my crusts. (Sorry not sorry Tommy) So that's why this weekend we decided to go and collect instead. We will definitely be using Mickleover Balti again, give them a try and you will 100% not be disappointed!!! Absolutely delicious!!!

Takeaway, chicken very clearly frozen, had a slimey texture to it not pleasant to eat. Tikka masala was bland in flavour. Came very quickly though so service was good. Salad came soggy in a bag.

It was by far the worst meal I have ever had. Most of the chicken was inedible . The chips were rock hard and rubbery and everything was cold. I had delivery which took over an hour. Will not be using again nor would I ever recommend to anyone

Absolutely bangin tarka Donner, it's one of those where you keep on going and want more even when it's finished. The portion is enough for 2! And I am a bit eater. Will defo be back to try other stuff

Was recommended by a friend to try the Tarka Donnor and chips and by far one of the best tarka donnor and chips and highly recommend the curry’s especially for those who love there chillies defo recommend speaking to the staff for your personal dietaries as they do make it to your very own personal liking. Lovely food also recommend trying the pizzas for sure and never the less 10/10 service polite lads and the owner was very nice and welcoming.

Lamb karahi was cooked to perfection but the tarka donner stole the show, by far the best I’ve had, 10/10. Portion size was more than expected and delivery was quick. Would defo recommend and will be ordering again soon.

I would give this zero stars if I could. The chicken was most definitely defrosted chicken and it wasn’t good. The korma was watery, the chips were soggy. Pretty much the whole meal tasted gone off and stale. The only good thing was the chapati and even that wasn’t as good as it could be.

I ordered 2 curries. Both turned out to have loads of sugar. Very disappointed Donner was dry, not enough salad.

Food was excellent. Ordered Lamb Tikka Karahi Special, Chana Puri, Keema Nan and Roti. I rate 4 stars as food got delivered after an hour and 15 mins. Delivery time to be improved.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. We have used them many times in the past but I don’t know what has happened to this place recently. To say it’s gone downhill is a HUGE understatement. Recent orders have taken over two hours to arrive, despite them telling us it’s on the way after 30 mins. When you phone them they are rude and lie to you again saying it’s on the way. Spoiler alert: it isn’t.

Absolutely awful, what has happened to this place, they've made so many cut backs to save on the stuff they use. Pizza tasted like a cheese toastie, had no tomato puree, normal red Leicester type cheddar NOT mozzarella so cheese just shrivels up, literally like a brick cheese toasties and barely any chicken just a few shredded bits dotted around. unfortunately won't be ordering again.

Ordered here a while back on a whim since it was the closest place for me to get something to eat and I was starving. Looking back, I would rather starve. I became ill after eating a portion of Doner meat and chips. Took less than 6 hours from when the food went in for me.

Ordered some food and the chicken biriyani is not biriyani. It's just fried rice (with pieces of chicken) and the worst is there were burnt pieces all over. Talked to them and the chef said that's how it is made. Not the first time I ate biriyani and have to say this is the worst. Cheese paratha was also not good. Will not order again.

Ordered full tandoori chicken and got shocked….. just chicken in pink colour, never seen in that colour…., l was sure it’s not well cooked and when rang Chef said it’s definitely cooked . When we tasted it’s absolutely like to bite a pink raw chicken. Finally we had to put it in the bin … never order or recommend again.

Family kebab was shocking. Little salad, minimal meat, delivered under 63°c. Compared to other local kebab houses, this was extremely disappointing.

Ordered a korma and the chicken was still pink inside. Rang up and chef said it was absolutely cooked. I said it definitely wasn’t so asked for a different curry. I had a bhuna delivered reasonably quick unfortunately biting into the chicken and it was raw! Come on it’s not hard to cook chicken! Will not be ordering from here again!

Wow this place is just amazing. Was driving through Mickelover and happened to stop by this place nice and clean inside the staff were very helpful and happy. Had a chicken tikka pizza and it was simply wonderful would recommend again.

No, no and no. The food has made me ill. Non-stop trips to the bathroom. Googled their hygiene rating because I couldn't see how the food sent over with the tepid sauces would score highly. The meat samosas didn't have any meat in them either. No, no and no.

Definitely recommend their different range of pizza’s are definitely hands down the best I’ve ever had and the customer service is brilliant highly recommend and will definitely be ordering from them again! Delivery was very quick I had my food within 20 mins of ordering!

Absolutely shocking food. Whole pub disappointed with quality of food. Mo apparently the Manager and was so disinterested with complaint and clearly was not helpful. AVOID!

Decided to have a 2 choice kebab and cheesy chips. Greatest decision as the kebab was fantastic and the chips were a huge portion with loads of cheese on. Most importantly the customer service was outstanding and felt like they couldn't do enough. Really happy with my visit and could highly recommend them for anyone who wants a great takeaway.

Had a lamb and mushroom pasanda tonight. Omgosh it was gorgeous, the best curry I've had in ages. In fact my wife and my daughter had a curry too and they loved there's. Thank you Mickleover Balti, we will never go anywhere else.

After being a regular customer for over 4 years I've decided I'm not bothering no more, the wait for the delivery to arrive (nearly two hours) then food turns up cold, the portion sizes are ridiculous, if I wanted child sizes I'd ask!!!! The new owners really need to sort this out..... I for one will not be returning.....

Well I just ordered food and was told 30/40 mins, it was over 1 hour. The pizza was just warm, needed microwaving. The burger wasnt a large one that was ordered and chips cold. The Indian set meal ,didnt incl ude the popadoms and pickles and nann bread cold and , curry just luke warm Not happy

Excellent service and food, the Balti and pizzas are worth trying.

Avoid. Took over an hour to deliver, when their website states 50 mins. Had to ring to see where it was. When it arrived, pizza was over done and tasteless. Kebab was overloaded with sauce (pouring of the paper it was wrapped in) and half of it was cold. Binned. Won’t be ordering again.

Absolutely disgusted with this place we placed an order and they said it will be with in 50 mins an hour and a half later still not hear so when my partner phoned to ask were it was they debated with him the time then hung up on him not impressed with the service at all very disappointed 😡

I visited a few weeks ago and made a rather large order of curries, pizzas and a burger on the spot. Despite the large order they got to work and produced a lovely meal enjoyed by myself and family and friends. Thank you Mickleover Spice we'll be returning.

This place currently has the best delivery driver I've ever seen and I've had a LOT of deliveries in my time! His name is Daniel and honestly I'd order food from here again just so that he can delivery it! If I were the manager, I'd pay him triple his wage - excellent service. Me and my 7 kids were very impressed🙌

Awful takeaway Food is ALWAYS late, but most recently took over 2 hours When arrived it was stone cold, and inedible. Restaurant took NO responsibility and offered no apology. I don’t do reviews, but took the time to warn other customers. There are plenty of decent Indian takeaways in the area.

Appsoluty terrible staff didn’t seem to understand that all of them had wear masks. When I confronted them about it got very aggressive towards me . Ordered my takeaway with tip and gave it them back. I had paid . If this is what you see what is happening when you can’t ???? Not a very good place at all!!!

Food was shockingly bad ordered a chicken tikka kebab and got four small bits of chicken in a crusty nann bread with some wilted lettuce on top the chilli sauce tasted very sweet and almost uneatable also the place seemed dirty and slimy won’t be going back

Used to be a great local chippy then got taken over we had chips and takaway from there and realy not worth it now its been taken over again by micklover (MICKLeOVER) spice now so chips arnt anything to shout about and the rest of the food is ok i suppose.

Ordered tandoori chicken kebab with salad, no nan or pitta £5.50 for basically not enough chicken to even call a breast. Served in a burger tray, that's not even half full with the salad. If this is what Mickleover Spice has joined or become then they will be loosing more customers than just myself.

Worst kebab I've ever had. Person on the phone said 30/40mins. Took well over 1hr 30. The chicken in the kebab was under cooked. Chips were over cooked. Even my dog turned her nose up. 4 people ordered and 1 person had the correct sauce. Never again!

Ordered at 8:20pm for 9:15pm delivery. Arrived at 10:15pm and the delivery man had the cheek to say we ordered it wrong. We have order confirmation email saying different!!!

After nearly 90min food eventually arrived with one order missing over £70 spent might as well have put the money in the bin as thats where most of the food went never again chips were so soggy
