When my husband and I tried to order there were around 6 staff talking and laughing so loud and shouting across the preparation area, I had to repeat my order to the cashier a few times as he could not hear me and I couldn't hear him. This was Wednesday 24 July at 4pm. I had to shout at all of them to keep quiet so I could order.

What is there to say, same good standard everywhere

This isn't aimed at the one in the main entrance, this is for the one on the maternity ward but they're not on google... Why would you hire a person whom you knew had no barista experience then have a go at them after 2 days for not picking it up quick enough? You should be ashamed of yourselves. No wonder why people don't last there. Provide adequate amounts of training to people before you judge them.

Pricey for a hospital environment.

Food and service are excellent.

This is a tiny Costa within the Derby hospital. There was quite a queue but the coffee was good and the coffee and walnut cake was delicious. Only a few tables but we managed to get a seat.

Visited in Derby Royal hospital. Good coffee and choice of cakes etc. Quite expensive though no concessions for the venue but better than the vending m/cs.

Food and drink delicious but lacks on service. They forgot my drink so waited l9nger than appropriate, and there were no knives available so I couldnt spread the butter on my croissant.

Much better than the coffee shop in KTC where they over charge for a push button coffee. Handy when you have to arrive early to park for a morning appointment!

Today 06/07/2023, I visited costa coffee at RDH on my break time and ordered a Medium Mocha and paid GBP 3.75 and waited for coffee to get ready, it was not a busy time, only one order before me, one of the lady staffs of costa coffe deliver the prevoius order and made coffee for me, she mixed the balance coffee from different jugs and served to me, by the time two gentle men in the shop was started laughing, I noticed that and asked the lady, is it a Mocha coffee? Any way I got mixed waste coffe, with sweet chocolate taste .. Please beware costa coffe they will serve you mixed waste coffee..

Just had coffees whilst waiting for visiting time at hospital. Always busy there.

Visited whilst at derby Royal hospital, very busy as always but still a fast service! Staff were very attentive and fast and friendly..ordered a skinny hazelnut latte as a large and can I say ,it was the largest coffee I've ever seen!! But 👍

Its a Costa coffee shop, what is there to add?,its expensive, for a Oasis fruit drink, a hot choc and 2 cinnamon rolls was almost a tenner, I'd rather of spent it elsewhere and got a lot more for my money, unfortunately it was the only coffee shop in the hospital,its quite pokey in this one as well...

Costa coffee is always good and I received great service, very fast.

If in hospital for quite a while in the mornings, a hot tea with a delicious toasted panini for breakfast/brunch always goes down well, with an occasional Daelmans Stroopwafel from Deutschland on the side 👌

Visit to hospital this morning for long appointment, so we visited for sandwiches, cake and coffee. Great service, assisted with items taken to our table.

Went with my ear defenders on as I was super early to an appointment at the hospital. The young lad making coffee saw me waiting for my drink and looking anxious beneath my mask, and told me to take a seat and get comfy, and he'd bring my coffee over to me. It really settled me and the coffee was delicious. Thank you.

Costa is still a good coffee choice and the prices are good for quality but, I'm a picky coffee drinker. Must be my Italian blood.

Busy but efficient Costa inside Derby Royal. Despite the number of people passing through, service was quick and friendly. There were even seats available. If you need a break in the hospital this is a good choice.

Went to get my lunch today and felt the staff were walking really hard to be efficient and accommodating. Especially one lad, I think his name was Benjamin.

Firstly had to wait for shop to open which opened 6 minutes late ! Secondly had no oat milk 😕

The seating area has been removed so it only does takeaway service, not good if you have to wait for a friend who has a day appointment at the hospital.

We've been visiting the hospital a few times a month now due to the wife being pregnant and fully aware of the covid restrictions in and around the hospital. Visited the Costa branch in the hospital and asked if were allowed to sit in whilst eating and drinking as there was a table of 3 dining in whilst visiting. We were refused the option to sit in due to the apparent restriction. However there was a notice on their board which stated all orders were for take out only Very confused due to a group of people were sat doing the very thing which apparently was restricted. My biggest dislike is when there is one rule for one and a different rule for another... Please review this.

Very expensive cup of weak decaff tea at £2.20.Coffee was also pricey.

Love this Costa very handy while at the hospital.

The coffee was fine, but I'm sure I am not alone in preferring coffee to be served in ceramics rather than those awful cups.

Lovely coffee called there has my husband went for a x-ray. I noted that cleaned the tables which was nice to see with covid still around.

This is a great little Costa in the Derby Royal Hospital. They supply drinks and hot and cold food snacks. It has plenty of seats if you want to sit in also. (Not during a pandemic mind!)

Would help if the staff taking orders listened to the customer before rushing off to finish a previous order. I had free coffee on the app and ended up paying for my drink. Slow down and pay more attention.

Nice coffee very nice staff well worth calling in and watching the world go by. Some times a que but at the end of the day the staff they keep going are the ones saving our country so I take my hat off to you all and a big thankyou

The two young gentlemen that served me on the 28th january around 2pm are a credit to Costa so nice to be treated so politely credit to your company

Busy with limited seating. But prices are average for a costa, which is surprising since it is in a hospital! It has a crowded atmosphere and the queue takes ages to go down...

The coffee is always delicious here and being within Royal Derby Hospital it's a nice comfortable atmosphere,and the staff are lovely.

In a hospital area, its very tight, and not a lot of room, which is not good if you have an injury which you don't want banging.

They got horrible tea cake and their sponge cake has too much sugar. Never ever try these two things from Costa

Costa rarely ever gives a reasons for a bad review, always great service and great coffee! Being a regular customer I never really go anywhere else for coffee.

One of the busiest Costa Coffee I’ve ever been too, in the past it was slow, but called today and the service was quite fast. A Great Improvement. Quality Coffee very much appreciated when visiting a hospital and staff were all smiles. Someone has been working hard with the staff in customer service. Well Done Folks.

Well the customer service terrible, the man serving just needed to learn to smile. The hot chocolate was more like hot water. I have would have complained but it was to busy and not being well I didn’t bother.
