food was awful no flavour left over from a previous evening.never had a garlic nan with a base that couldn't be broken.lamb saag that tasted more like wet cardboard and butter chicken that had a full bag of sugar poured over it in a vain attempt to give it some kind of flavour

So happy with what I've ordered tonight. The customer serve is incredible (the strongest point) The food is so tasty and always too much, I honestly can't recommend anyone better in Mickleover/th3 near ares to try and enjoy the food they provide 🤤

Oh what a shame. Very disappointing tasteless soggy. I don't see how they are still open. I cannot imagine anyone would be happy with this.

Words cannot describe how amazing my chicken balti curry was! Full of flavour and the portion sizes were very generous! The naan was soft and fluffy- literally melted in my mouth! My husband and children thouroughly loved the chicken tikka masala and donner mix. Again portion sizes wrre very generous and piping hot! Thank you Mickleover balti!

We ordered as a group of friends ( couples) from here last night, we ordered kebabs, and things totalling just under £50. I ordered a shish/chicken tikka kebab with all the salad mint yoghurt and chilli, i hadnt eaten all day so was really looking forward to it. When it arrived everyone unwrapped there food and i unwrapped mine. Others had doner which tbf looked fine and some had puris, or chips with cheese. I opened mine and i think they had forgotten yo put half the contents on, i had abour 6 small pieces of chicken tikka and 3 pieces of shish and hardly any salad at all. I wasnt happy at all, and because we were close to the takeaway i gave them a call, i said that my portion was very small and wasnt worth the money i had paid. The gentleman i spoke to put another chap on the phone whos exact words were that i was lying, and he put 10 pieces of each on each, i told him i deffo didnt and he said again im lying as he did the order himself. Tbh the food did taste ok so ive given 2 stars instead of 1 but the portions were terrible and the custumer service was disgusting. We were visiting friends and ive never been to this place but next time we visit we deffo wont be going to mickleover spice/balti again.

Cold kebab meat, re sent even colder…. Never again will I buy from mickleover spice….. Even the replacement they sent was rubbery and went in the bin 🤢🤢🤢🤢 I would avoid at all costs and save your money!

I do not normally write reviews so, this is rare for me but this takeaway has a bad habit for being late, I used them a lot when they where at Silverhill. They had times then when they were late. The food is normally good to be fair but when they are late it all falls apart. I called them at 20m past the 1hr they promised, I told them if its not here in 5mins I don't want it, I got the usual ' its on its way mate' It did not turn up so I found something else to eat, then at 2hrs 5m a guy turned up with the order, I refused it, told him to take it back, I wanted it for dinner not supper! It would have been cold and like mush, that would have ticked me off even more. Like I said its not the first time, a lot of these Indian takeaways can't manage when there is a rush on. Well it cost them not me and I think we should all refuse the food when its over an hour late, maybe then they might get the message.

Takeaway absolutely disgusting didn’t eat threw it all in the bin only open curries king prawns were exploded like they do in a microwave chicken even in tikka sauce was a grey yellow cooler and smelt sour was willing to even taste it

The kebab arrived cold temperature, wrong meat, didn’t expect bones, sauce on the kebab was too spicy to eat the kebab - not mint yoghurt as expected on kebab, also extra pot of mint sauce paid for was not delivered

I’ve been to Mickleover Spice on quite a few occasions and always found the food and service good. On this occasion I opted for delivery. I was told it would be 45-60mins. After waiting 75mins, I called to ask how much longer it would be. I was informed the driver had tried to deliver twice but no-one answered. This was not the case! The staff were dismissive and abruptly told me they would come straight away. 15mins later still no food. When I had to call back for the second time, they stated they would check the drivers location. The call was then ended. I called back for the third time and I could hear the staff discussing my situation in the back ground. One staff member was heard saying they had not checked with the driver and another saying he was in Chillwell (which, if true, is 30mins away...). What I was told directly was: “He must have broken down, I will deliver it myself”. After another 15mins of waiting I cancelled the order, however 2 mins later the food arrived. I was offered it half price and given a free bottle of coke. It was discovered that they had been going to the wrong address, despite me clarifying this, along with my post code repeatedly. Unfortunately I accepted this offer and was left with cold food, including soggy chips.

Being of Indian origin , I think I know my curries, but wait till try their Curry’s best in the city if not Midlands .. highly recommended!! 5 star for service and taste

After a period of uncertainty and bereavement. I would say Mickleover Spice is becoming settled again. It's a takeaway so they are busy but have a selection of food to takeaway. I like the korma but sometimes the food can be different each time you order but it is improving.

Thought I'd change from Etwal balti to mickleover spice last night. Well im glad i did. Massive kebab arrived, chunky chicken pieces n slices of donnor meat with a heap of fresh salad and chilli sauce,the nann breads were massive and obviously freshly made n i thoroughly enjoyed it...far too much for me n one would go easily for two people Onwards n upwards mickleover spice in your new premises Jude

I have used Mickleover spice for around 2 years and they have always been very friendly! The last couple of times I have ordered from them it has taken around 1 hour, last time it was delayed to a total of 2 hours! This time I called for an updated after 45 minutes and they shouted “it will be 20 minutes” and then hung up on me! I then rang back to hope the phone lines cut off to which I received the same “I just said it will be 20 minutes” and they hung up again! This is a disgraceful way to run a business! DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT! No one deserves to be spoken to this way!

Ordered from here loads of time before but has really gone down hill lately. My previous order took 1.5 hours to be delivered and our last order was awful. We ordered 2 different dishes, 1 was spicy (madras) and 1 wasn’t but when we plated them up and tried them they were both madras hot and one had hardly any chicken in it. I phoned to complain and they said they would resend. Which they did but this time they only sent pilau rice when is ordered vegetable rice. The driver who rude and wanted the other meal back which I said is on a plate and I can put it in a bag but he just walked away. Will definitely not be ordering from here again!

I had problems with orders from here a while ago. Thought I'd give them another chance tonight and had been ordering food elsewhere. Ordered a kebab ( shish Donner mix on a cheese and garlic nan) and got a chicken tikka and Donner on plain nann). I can't remember the last time I ordered from here and it arrived just as I wanted. Quality isn't bad - it's just that I seem to get someone else's order.Last time for me thanks.

Always order from here, great food and always deliver on time.. never had any issues from mickleover spice. 👍

I placed an order at 7.15pm on just eat for all the family £25.80 recieved the food at 8.40pm wasnt our order i rang back at 8.42pm was told driver will be straight back to collect food and get ours straight to us 9.25pm still no food i rang again he be with you in 2mins 9.50pm still no food i ring again the driver has gone awol you get free food next time you order, no i would like a refund will send someone, 10.30pm no food no refund i ring again ask where my refund is he just put the phone down. So i take the wrong order back myself and demand my refund, to walk into a fight between the managers they all act like they no nothing about my order one managers is on phone to police because the other one assaulted him apparently theres no money in the till and the manager on the phone is the guy who has the money the other guy is waving a knife at him thru the kitchen all whilst im standing there just wanting my money back the manager then tries to offer me £20 even tho hes pulled out more cash from his pocket and said he needed to pay his driver (said driver who apparently gone awol) at this point the police turn up so i go ask the other guy who said was in charge but he made out it was down to other guy all i want is my £25 its now 11pm finally got my money think the police being there helped dont think he would of gave it me if they wasnt present he was rude and raised his voice at me because he'd had a bad night. So wont be using them again!!!!

No no no no, would be the answer I would give someone is they asked me if I wanted food from here again. To say it was disgusting would be giving the place a huge compliment.

Even for a takeaway, the food was awful. Being overcharged for poor food because they think you've had a drink and they can take advantage is ridiculous. The fact they don't accept card payments is a joke as well when the nearest cash point is about a mile away. Never again.

Absolutley dreadful,not even worthy of 1 star.Order was wrong,Pizzas,Chips and Southern fried chicken was dried up and over cooked.Never again !
