This was undeniably the worst Chinese I have ever had and most of it went in the bin. I have never taken the time to write a review before but feel so let down by this experience. No bags of prawn crackers to top it all! I certainly won't be returning- the Chinese in lady bank road is superb! Feb24- just been back as heard under new ownership! Ribs were good but the rest was awful and got binned again!! Gloopy and far too salty! Back to happy house for me which is fab!

Wow what a difference this place is under new ownership - I had avoided it for almost 20 years until by chance I found it had new owners so tried it again a couple of months ago. I think it's the best in Mickleover now - portions are pretty much the same as elsewhere at a fair price.

Used to be the best Chinese in Derby. New owners, prices increased, portion sizes smaller, food not even close.

Our go-to Chinese, really great value for money. They’ve also just added a massive vegetarian menu, the vegetarian chicken is amazing!

Curry sauce nothing how it used to be, the egg fried rice was nice, was really looking forward to a tasty meal, but won't be in a rush to head back.The curry used to be amazing..what has happened?

Terrible. My chicken curry is in a jelly type substance, chicken is pale and odd looking. Curry sauce isn't a curry sauce but a blob of jelly. Been using this place for over 20 years and used to have great food. They had the nicest curries and the sauce was lovely.ive heard its changed ownership, new owners should have kept original cooks in place. Wont be going again ! Stay clear awful

The worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Jeeezzzz, special fried rice terrible, eggs burnt, chicken fried rice no taste, the rips were tasteless got from the freezer cold. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 I don’t even know what kind of meat was in the special fried rice. Awful 🤮

Awful food. This will be the last time we have food from here. Don’t know what’s happened as it used to be brilliant. The food was cold, and tastless. Chips tasted like they’d been cooked a few hours before and were then microwaved…. No veg in the chow mein no veg in the beef and cashew nuts … this is our usual go to and the last few times have noticed no veg added. It’s like they don’t care. Absolutely horrible 🤢

Always get a good takeaway here, friendly no nonsense service. Cash only* .. but you can order and nip to the cashtill to if you forget. Plenty of seating and a couple of newspapers while you wait. Car park outside can be busy .. but that is the mickleover parade for you. Still Same great service. *Now Take cards over i think £20!

Food Really not nice, noodles hard, “chicken balls” was a chopped up battered chicken breast, curry sauce was orange and tasteless and it was all very very salty.

Good value for money takeaway. Minimum spend of £15 if you wish to pay by card. Free parking in front for easy collection.

Chicken & white mushrooms rubbish was not nice no sauce very dry no onions in mine my sister had a few in hers used to be the best Chinese food used to use it alot a few years ago obviously changed hands had a black pepper steak a few weeks ago as well that to was not good won't be ordering from there again

Used this takeaway many years ago. Thought I’d give it a try again. Service was good. Food was horrible. VERY salty! Couldn’t eat it. Shame. Had high hopes for a lovely meal. Very disappointed

A friend recommend this chiense takeaway as it was my first time in Derby, eveyrhtine from the food, to the customer service and the time were amazing and quick. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

The fried rice is to die for, ate all in one sitting.

Back in the 70s this was our take way after a good Saturday or Friday night out. Visited today after many years and was delighted to find the Special Fried Rice and Prawn curry dishes were as if we were back there Great portions and curry taste's the same. Looks like we will be back again

I lived in Mickleover years ago and this was the best Chinese takeaway in the area. Ive tried many chinese restaurants in my time and when I recently moved back to the area, I am pleased that i can say that the food is still as good as it ever was. Now that I'm back, I will definitely be going back again.

Quick service and good food at reasonable prices.

Worst Chinese I've ever had. Beef Cantonese style was just beef in tomato ketchup. And the chips are laced with salt. Never again!

Lack of consistency spoils this eatery , sometimes it’s excellent ,at other times it’s just bland ,undercooked and cold

Been going here for 30+ years, love it still. Portions are big, food is delicious, and always hot. Never had any problems at all.
