We ordered a take away from here very recently, which was ready on time when we walked in to collect. The place was very hot inside, which is perfectly understandable, however, the place had a subtle hint and smell of somewhere not perfectly clean. There was a cabinet at the front with, presumably cold drinks inside, plus a large blue bottle fly. The food itself was very poor. After eating a couple of chunks of lamb and chicken the rest (virtually the entire meal) went into the bin. The meat looked really poor, rough, and of a debatable quality. It was very firm and chewy, of a strange texture. We will never visit there again.

For the second year running we chose Rondhon to cater our big family party a couple of days after Christmas. The order was delivered promptly at the agreed time, was piping hot, and everyone agreed that the food was delicious. When I went in to place the order, the staff were very friendly and helpful. A great success all round.

Absolutely Terrible, over priced and over cooked chips or re-frys not sure..couldnt eat so crunchy!

Really good quality food from Rhondon. Take Away only but so perfectly cooked and plenty for the plate. My favourite is the Tikka Madras and Im sure Id enjoy so many more dishes. Perfec tofr us to pick up a d collect locally. Will be using this place for a while now. Thanks and Compliments to The Chef and all staff.

The food from here is amazing. The meat is really tender. There has been a couple of mistakes with my orders, they were rectified within 20 minutes. I would not buy from anywhere else. They make every dish unique with their unique spices. We love Rhondon.

Avoid Avoid. I’ve lived in Mickleover my whole life and I’m writing this so local people think twice about even attempting to order from these extremely rude people. I used these people years ago when they first opened and the food was average but the staff were always pleasant and polite. Over the years weather the owners have changed or whatever has happened the staff have got worse and worse. 3 weeks ago I walked in with my son and it took them 10 minutes before we got acknowledged and after a few horrible looks I walked out without ordering. Today I walked in and decided to give it one more chance (out of desperation because my daughter was really hungry) the rudest man in derby decided to scowl at us both when I asked if he was open. He then picked up his note pad and said WHAT. I couldn’t bring myself to order food of someone that looked at us like we were a massive problem to him. Whoever owns the place is obviously losing loads of business with this person working for him. I don’t understand why anybody it the sane mind would employ that man. Anyway I’m writing this because I seriously wouldn’t trust him anywhere near my food and would like to save others from the embarrassment of walking in with there children 👍

I had a takeaway meal from this Indian Takeaway and was very disappointed with the food,i had a chicken Tikka Masala and the chicken was dry due to reheating and not what i would expect tasteless and Bland and the dish was really watery which i presume was from being frozen then re cooked it would be nice to have authentic cooked meal FRESH and we also had a Balti which i would say should have a spice,y taste but again there was not Bland no flavour and again the chicken was dry and hard from reheating had to throw it away after a couple of fork fulls we will not be using again that is two in Mickleover know we do,not use because off poor quality re-heated food

Have used this takeaway for years - however the last couple have been very bland and tasteless and also expensive. Time to look elsewhere - such a shame

Been using for years. Food is always tasty and warm. I prefer to collect my food as they can get busy at times.

Ordered and told it would be 75 minutes to deliver. Waited an extra one hour and still no food. Called three times only on the final call to be told that the order hadn’t been done and would take a further five minutes! How would it take 75 minutes previously but now it takes five? Besides the fact of it being over an hour late, I am still waiting for the food and have been told I’ll get a 20% refund and some poppadoms. I will not be ordering from this shambles of a place - sarcastic staff to add to this situation. Extremely unhappy. Now I remember why I haven’t ordered from here in a couple of years.

My family and I have a curry every other friday night and we always alternated between two curry houses in Derby until our neighbour recommended here. And oh my god, it was the best curry of our lives absolutely amazing. Ordering one again tonight because it was such good quality and value

Ordered a takeaway of 9 items and only 2 were correct. When we rang the staff were very rude, unhelpful and had a bad attitude. Won’t be recommending to anybody, and won’t ever order from here again.

We never thought that this was the best place for a takeaway but thought we would give it one last try. Ordered the food to be told it would be ready to collect in 20 minutes. When we arrived we were told to wait. Another 40 minutes later we were only just getting the food. If I was told it it would be an hour then fair enough but this takes the mick and it was mid week and the shop was empty!!! To be honest I would rather go elsewhere it take a bit longer and get much better quality of food.

Really nice place to order from - really good value and portion sizes! Food we've tried has all be really good. One of our frequent takeaways and we'll keep going!

Order came late. Pilau rice missing. Took a further 55 minutes to get the missing rice. Lamb masala very chewy - inedible. Got sent chicken masala to replace the chewy lamb. Used to like this place, now it’s just a very expensive waste of time and money. Taking custom elsewhere from now on. Shame.

Quite expensive for what you get.Not sure why it is expensive ? If you want something quick then it's the place for convenience. My meal was nice but there are other Indian takeaways which are more reasonably priced and if you drive they are not far.

First two times we ordered were brilliant. Since then we have ordered twice on Friday nights and been very disappointed (maybe the Friday chef is bad?). Tonight’s was the worst curry I’ve ever had. Horrible peshwari naan, no salad or sauce for onion bhajee (45 minute wait when asked for some) and took 70 minutes to arrive. Shame because it had become our new favourite.

Ordered two kebabs, both were cooked well and the meat was just right, not greasy like some we've had. The real criticism was we asked for one without sauce and they put sauce on both. Luckily my son wasn't too bothered but it wasn't what he ordered.

Great service, Really nice food ! Try the paneer shashlik & the king prawn puri appetisers. The Pathia & Chicken tikka Massala is also nice.

Tried Rondhon for the first time after being recommended by quite a few people....definatly the best takeaway curry we've had for ages!

This has been the best take away ever and I have always recommended them and every time we were having large parties we will order from them. The quality of the food is really good and I won't go any where else till now. We have just phoned them and after a few calls they rang us and said that because our postcode didn't appear on the sat nav, they were cancelling our order. They have delivered to my house for 2 and a half years. Very dissapointed. It takes a great effort to make a loyal customer and too little to lose it. Very dissapointed but sure I will be able to find another one as good as this one if not better.

Had different food staff friendly food nice what we had had better food but four star is fair we do use often so if that recommendation so be it

Cuatro de nosotros (la familia) decidió ampliar el año nuevo en nuestra casa que está bastante cerca de la Rondhon. Llamó bastante tarde, eran felices de satisfacer, pero tenía que hacer nuestro universo, a las 11:00h orden (cierre) Este funcionó de maravilla ya que pudimos comer y luego ver el año nuevo. Todas las cuatro comidas y acompañamientos fueron realmente buenos y el tiempo colección hacía realmente especial. Seguro que volveré a usar este para llevar de nuevo.

Usually have a curry from this place 2-3 times a month. Had one delivered last night. Very tasty. Arrived when they said it would and still steaming hot. Yum!

Great Indian Food, Kebabs, and Pizza. Bra indisk mat, kebab och pizza. Suuri intialainen ruoka, kebab, ja pizza.

Utilizada durante años y la Rondhon comida ha sido siempre excelente. Sólo he pedido curry y nunca tuvimos una mala. Se puede llenar en un fin de semana, así que si tu hambre ir y buscarla. Recientemente tuvimos unas cuantas cosas faltan en nuestra orden, pero nada importante, pero son siempre excusas y solucionarla.

Absolutely gorgeous curries, naans, rice, chips etc. They get very busy especially at weekends so order early, however it is always worth the long wait! Great value for money, friendly staff, highly recommended!

Always have my take-aways from here and there's never anything wrong regarding the taste of the food however check that everything you have ordered is in the bag as on various occasions they have left a naan bread out! Other than that could not fault them, the food is a good price and excellent quality. 100% recommend!

Ordered a takeaway for collection and as usual the food was excellent quality. The chicken is very tender and not rubbery like many other Indian takeaway foods. Best naan I've ever had from a takeaway!!Best Indian takeaway find in Derby so far.

We have used Rhondon for a number of years now and usually order at least twice a month for our food to be either delivered or collected. We have never had any major problems and would reccomend to anyone.Staff are very helpful and always remember our name, which adds a personal touch.I personally order pizza from here instead of the bigger chains like dominos because it is a very reasonable price- 2 large pizzas for £10 and also it tastes a lot better too. The curry is very nice, however sometimes is quite oily, but that is the quality you expect from a takeaway, greasy food to tuck into on a saturday night.Delivery is never excessively late, ten minutes late maximum.Overall, a brilliant local takeaway who I would recommend to anyone in the local area.

Have used this takeaway a few times and find it a bit hit and miss, quicker to collect as delivery can take a while ,sometimes the curry is quite oily I think it depends who is chef, kebabs are a generous size and pizza is cooked fresh to order and they will take into account any quirkiness with food ordering which is a relief. Overall it always seems clean and the staff are friendly which is why we keep going back.

So it's now been a week since our food arrived approximately 1 hour after it was promised and we were told that the owner would call to discuss why.He has not called.The guy on the phone at the time said he could not comment as there was nobody there in charge. He did tell us that the delivery guy had left 5 minutes prior with our food. Turns out that he hadn't because 40 minutes after that promise he had still not arrived and the restaurant is only 10 minutes away.When the delivery guy did arrive, he said that he had only just left so somebody was lying. Either the guy on the phone or the delivery guy, maybe both.Whoever lied, the food was like warm.Shame.I used to like this place.

The range of food is very good as is the taste. The only thing that let's it down is the excessive use of cooking oil.

Indian takeaway, always good value with a good range of dishes plus the usual Kebabs and Pizzas. Staff always friendly and food is really good, recommend the Butter Chicken

Staff will help you choose a dish, they will describe the flavour ie fruity, spicy, aromatic, and they will do half portions ideal if youre eating alone. Always found the shop clean and organised and the staff happy and chatty. Definitely worth a try.

We've been using Roundhon for several years and it nearly always supplies good tasty curries and naans in generous sized portions.

I've used this takeaway for a along time the food has always been consistent, packed full of flavour and seems so fresh, always cooked to the heat level I like, the staff are knowledgeable of their food and are very pleasant to chat to, delivery times has also been excellent, over the time we've used them I think I've only had one late delivery, very good Indian!

Food tastes and smells lovely. Found staff to be very talkative. Will use again. Price is reasonable. Tends to be a long wait if wanting a delivery; ended up collecting food

Good food and tasty. I have used them several times. One comment PLEASE STAFF when you talk to each other please speak ENGLISH I fell that talking in a language other than English in front of your customers is very rude. I have stopped using businesses in the past who allow this to take place. Very good food.
